OmniCC Beta  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.1.0-beta1
by: Tuller [More]

This is the beta version of OmniCC. Odds are, there will be bugs
The latest stable version of OmniCC can be found here.

Confused? Check the Wiki!

Changes since Waffles

  • Extracted the timer scheduling code from the timer code.
  • Created two scheduling engines for the timer: One based on the Animation system, and one based on the classic OnUpdate methods, with the animation system used by default. If you're experiencing crashes when using OmniCC, try switching to the OnUpdate engine.
  • To switch to the OnUpdate engine, use
    Code:
    /omnicc setengine classic
  • To switch back to the Animation engine, use
    Code:
    /omnicc setengine animation

GitHub:

OmniCC development has moved from GogleCode to GitHub. The intention is to make it easier for people to fork/contribute to OmniCC development (and also for me to learn about git). Writing code for me typically gets your request implemented faster than asking me to write it myself :P

Submitting bugs & feature requests:

In order of preference, here's where you should submit bug reports and feature requests:

I read/have RSS feeds for everywhere, so don't think too much about it

I'm in no doubt its something I've done but currently no CD's appear on BT4 bars if the bar scale is less than 100%. This is irrespective of font used.

Is TullaCC still the most light when it comes to CPU (don't care about memory) compared with this one?

I'm having a lot of bugs regarding the omnicc displaying the time on various debuffs on my character, as well as both buffs and debuffs on my target. I am using shadowed unit frames and with the older omnicc, I had no problems with the time display on auras, buffs, and debuffs. I can't really identify the specifics; almost all debuffs on myself will not have the duration display, most debuffs on an enemy target (at least from me or a member of my raid) seem to have the time displaying correctly, while most buffs on an enemy target won't display their duration (for example, in pvp, the time left on ice block, divine shield, etc) I'm not sure if this is an issue with the mod or just with enabling the resizing feature, which right now if the only option I can use since I have icons of various sizes in my ui.

An example of debuff time on player not displaying (the corrosive poison located to the left of the character unit frame): http://img442.imageshack.us/i/omnicctest.jpg/

An example of time left on target (de)buff not displaying (the divine shield, etc located above the target frame): http://img841.imageshack.us/i/omnicctest2.jpg/

Also, if I may make a suggestion, I think adding a feature that would allow you to adjust the offset of the text on an icon would be great. For example, I'd love to anchor the text towards the bottom of my icons, that way the text doesn't obscure the icon as much. I hope that helped and made sense. In addition, I've tried messing with the minimum and maximum time to display omnicc as well as the other features and nothing seems to correct the problem I'm having, this is with the latest (3.0 beta12) version installed.

Anyway, I hope the issue with the aura display can be corrected soon. I love the mod and all of the new features you've added but not being able to see the time left on important (de)buffs like say, Essence of the Blood Queen, can be a big problem.

Edit: I think I've identified the problem, it was an issue with my shadowed unit frames. Glad to have the mod working, and like I said I love the changes. Please consider my suggestion otherwise sorry to trouble you with this post.

I used to do that all the time. Now my updates are like weeks apart.

3.0.beta10 is up. Hopefully this fixes all remaining known issues.
I expect this to probably be the last OmniCC beta, though now that I said that, it'll probably blow up in my face :P

The last option I'm considering adding to OmniCC would give it an "ActionBar Only" option. Basically, it would change this bit of code:
Code:
hooksecurefunc(getmetatable(ActionButton1Cooldown).__index, 'SetCooldown', cooldown_OnSetCooldown)
To this:
Code:
hooksecurefunc('ActionButton_UpdateCooldown', function(self)
	local cooldown = _G[self:GetName().."Cooldown"]
	cooldown_OnSetCooldown(cooldown, GetActionCooldown(self.action))
end

Cooldown not showing sometimes

Hey first I just want to say I love your mods. Use them for almost everything. I've been using Omnicc beta for awhile and sometimes the cooldowns show up and sometimes they dont. I'm not getting any errors or anything. I have been getting a Interface action failed because of an AddOn every once in awhile and right now I'm checking to see what the taint log says but I doubt it's from your addon. I am using dominos for my bars. I wish there was more to give you since it an intermittent thing. Please keep up the great work!!!

Yes I have removed all datas and folders of omnicc, inclusive at the wtf folder.
And no, i got no error, I come to the settings menu, but there is no cooldown or any animation at my bars.
I have tried only with omnicc and deactivate all other addons, but no change.
