WoW Launcher PLUS

Important Note: I am currently working on a completely new launcher for Warlords of Draenor and the first alpha should be available for testing soon.

WoW Launcher PLUS (WoWL+) is the successor of "WoW Manager". Its purpose is to replace the default WoW Launcher and give you some additional features.

Now supports 32- and 64-Bit Live- and PTR-Clients!

Current features:
- View the latest News from the original Launcher or use a custom Homepage
- Open your Guildpage with a single click
- Create backups of your important WoW related files
- Launch your favorite Voice Chat Application with a single click
- Check the Status of your favorite WoW Realms from five regions
- Delete cache files on startup (useful for addons which track rare mobs via cachefiles)
- Launch WoW immediately after launching WoWL+
Additional "Tools" in the Menu on top:
- Visit popular WoW Websites (more to come!)
- Launch the original Launcher and the Repair Tool

Installation:
Just download the .zip file and extract it into a new folder. To launch WoWL+ doubleclick on WoWL+.exe or create a new shortcut for it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: WoWL+ does not change any WoW Files. It is a separate application.

Updating from a previous version:
Just unzip the new file in the same folder and overwrite all files. All settings (stored in "Settings.ini") should be preserved.

Hello and Thanks. I noticed the same issue a few times and got the English (US) launcher content instead of the German one. I try to find a solution for this to fix it in an upcoming version. If it happens more often let me know, please.

I run linux, and unfortunately the default launcher wedges badly and never does launch WoW - which means I launch it by right-clicking wow.exe in the graphical directory browser window and choosing 'run with wine' - it works fine. I'm interested in the various things the launcher lets one do, so I'm wondering if you can tell me if this works with linux, wine, or in any way may work better than the default launcher. Hoping for good news...

But the runtime engine needs the following: Minimum Windows 2000 Pentium 120 MHz 32 MB RAM Minimum for Web Object The web object will only work if the Internet Explorer ActiveX control is installed on the user's system. Also cant copy paste directly the full path. Any help to set it up.

well, once I could download it (something weird, admin fixed it)...

I extracted it to a folder on my desktop, and launched it with wine. it asked me where my wow folder was, and I told it. I prodded around a bit, checking the settings and such (many of which don't seem to be working) and then hit the big play button...

and it said file not found.

I'm happy to do more digging if you'd like, I wouldn't mind being a linux-test person, let me know. I'm *not* a coder, tho, so I'm not sure what help I can be, other than 'dumb user' - which I do think is valuable, but you may not need that now.

(Things that didn't work: launching WoWhead.com, moving the 'check realm status' slidebar; pressing the 'home' key on the front did nothing, nor the arrows to either side, but I'm not sure what that's supposed to do at all so I may not have something set up right. All of the other buttons were grey. I *had* expected the websites to launch using the system default web browser. What I have, now that I've killed it, is three processes called plugin-config eating up lots of cpu.)

ETA: One of the things I'd tried was 'submit a bug report'. After I killed two of the plugin-config processes, the browser finally opened with this page - listing bugs. Which has... a bug listed on it that the launcher can't find the file.

I downloaded it just now, tho, so I should have the version that is fixed, according to that page. My WoW is a download from Blizz, I haven't done anything weird inside the World of Warcraft folder (except install AddOns).

Hi. I believe this is a new bug introduced in v0.2.1. When I fixed the missing "\" at the end of the paths I forgot to update the code for the Launcher and Repair tool. It will be fixed with the next update. Thanks.

To select the paths for WoW, PTR and BETA Clients just hit the "Browse" button on the right side and select the folder. You don't have to select an .exe file. Only the Voice Chat App needs to point to an .exe file.

Do you have the latest version 0.2.1? Do all paths have a "\" at the end? To be able to help you and to fix it in a future version I need the exact error message, please.

Ah NvM my mistake was to overwrite the previus version with he new one I delete the old one dload the new and now it works Tx.

Can you tell me the exact error messages, please? Did it tell you a line or more details about the error when a file could not be found? The "Play" button should be working, maybe the AMS Runtime Engine does not like Linux or some settings need to be changed.
