Error Handler

Error handler was designed to give you more control over which errors to show, by default it hides all errors but for each individual error you can choose wheter to show it either in the default position in the middle of the screen or to have Parrot, MSBT or SCT announce it, also supports blizzard standard combattext, default chatframe, raidwarning frame & bossemote frame

Upcomming Features:
-Possible option to add your own errors, let me know in comments if this is something you want
-Add more errors, if there's any you'd like to see in future releases, let me know in comments!
-Suggest more!

-Fixed a rather serious/annoying bug in the function that was supposed to update the database when installing a new version
-Rewrote the options to look better ( still missing the color picker though :( )
-Added Out of mana, no runic power and several other messages

-Added new options for redirection, now includes blizzard default combat text, raidwarning frame, bossemote frame, chatframe, MSBT, SCT & Parrot

-Scrapped the category idea, it didn't work out in practice after all
-Sorted error alphabetically instead
-Changed "None" to "Default" in redirection, and made default be the standard UIErrorsFrame
-Added 15 new errors, enjoy!
-Changed to .zip instead of .rar due to MMOUI minion

I'll update the description for the addon, by default every error is off, the ones on the list are the ones i could think of that you'd like to enable for various reasons but by default all errors are hidden

Meanwhile, after having a look at it, reporting to the default combat text of wow will be implemented next version since that is very easy to do. Last edited by morkesh : 07-05-10 at 07:38 AM.

Honestly, ErrorMonster was the best error handler out there, because it 1) blocked all errors from printing by default, 2) allowed you to "filter" (decide which errors to block) and 3) redirected to different sinks (MSBT, raid warning frame, chat frame, etc). Well, sometime ago the author took out the filter part and since then its only been a redirect.

Personally, I'd like to see you add all that stuff! But I understand if that is out of the scope of your ability or interest. I love the custom colors, and as long as your addon works with ErrorMonster, I'm a happy gal! Thanks a lot, keep up the great work!

Oh, also, now that I look at the comments on ErrorMonster, would this be something you could implement to not have to include the redirect yourself?

morkesh A Deviate Faerie Dragon Forum posts: 15 File comments: 17 Uploads: 3	oooh will look into that! currently working on redirection to a frame or your own choosing, found out how to interact with the default scrollingcombattext so depending on how MSBT works it might already function from next release (which should be tonight) EDIT: Alright fine Xtoq, you win! :P spent an hour implementing MSBT, Parrot, SCT, blizzard default combat text, blizzard boss emote text ("The lava surrounding Sartharion churns")-style messages, Raidwarning style messages.
