AutoScreenshot

Version: 0.21
by: yuiggy [More]

Hello

This is a small addon that automatically and continuesly takes a screenshot every 30* minute. It can be altered to a more suitable duration, but I like the 30 minute mark.

The addon serves a single purpose for me, I'm nostalgic, and like to 'document' my gaming time. Random screenshots from the last 3½ years of my WoW career have been saved through addon functionality (I'm close to 8000 screens).

When i feel like it, i walk through the screens, and it takes me back to my glory days of MC, BWL, AQ20/40, ZQ, NAXX, KZ, ZA, PVP outdoor events, you name it, i probably have it saved.

I'm now offering the addon to others that may look for something like it.

* - To change the duration between screenshots, look in the lua file and change the variable called "delay"

Don't know anything about lua and xml neither but I did some research on wowwiki and found this page : http://www.wowwiki.com/Using_OnUpdate_correctly

So I replaced the following lines in AutoScreenshot.xml (line 9)
Code:
<OnUpdate>
        AutoScreenshot_OnUpdate(arg1);
</OnUpdate>
by :
Code:
<OnUpdate function="AutoScreenshot_OnUpdate"/>
and it's working for me !

I was looking through the UI errors and looking at he lua file. My complete lack of knowing anything about lua and xml though is a small barrier to being able to do anything useful to correct it though.

Re: commands?

Hoping for an update for this. I've loved this mod ever since I came across it. My screen shot folder is full of all sorts of awesome stuff I never would have taken on my own.

commands?

Are there slash commands or do you just edit the time directly in the LUA file?

I'm looking forward to seeing this in action.
