SnootyLooter

Version: B2.0 - 30300
by: Geneticus [More]

Snooty Looter - Because you're too good to loot THAT!
Instead of managing items when you are out of space or at a merchant, SnootyLooter lets you avoid looting items based on quality.

FYI:
Auto loot or other addons that simulate auto loot should be turned off.

Known Issues:
Well there was my childhood, oh! you meant issues with the addon...

To Do:
Add a "Never Loot" list. (no need to get lvl 1 mushrooms when farming at lvl 30)
Add an option to loot but delete items after, so you can loot the bottom mob on a stack
Add an On/Off toggle - LDB

B2.0:
Added config options in Interface Options
Added Localization Framework, but: No hablo espaņol, Ich spreche kein Deutsch, 我不講中文.
B1.1:
Adjusted logic a bit, made changes to fix(hopefully) non-cached items being seen properly.
Loot window should not stay open if everything is working.

Skinner mode will be:

Loot everything then delete Junk items from your inventory, If selected in options. I'm just not there yet. Patience grasshopper....

rethink

After experimenting tonight in Mana Tombs I have decided to abandon the not looting Grey items approach partially. To make it workable I'm going to need to loot then delete items. Trying to get to the bottom of a pile was really annoying when the top guy has a gray item on him.....

When farming certain mobs for an odd drop (like small eggs or something) it would be great to make a list of what not to loot from the white and grey items that the mobs typically drop.

It has the double-bonus of covering off an area that the existing junk selling addons don't have 9that I know of) - they don't deal with things like low-level food, either.
I did find an addon that kinda did that. It has "Always Delete/Sell" and "Never Delete/Sell" but it only allows you to delete one item at a time (the cheapest). The reason I wrote this was because clearing out the junk when farming took 20 Shift+clicks to free 20 bag slots. And I manually had to add everything I wanted on the Delete list that wasn't gray. Now that I have proof of concept I can work on features like custom lists, and filter by things like level or type categories(food, Mats, item Levels etc).

It might not be Ideal for skinning groups, but farming Humanoids for cloth, doing instance runs for green stuff, etc.; it's just easier not to pick up the junk.
Although, If you aren't the skinner in the group, then THEY get stuck looting the junk and having to delete it

If the skinners are in your group, they can loot the crap themselves after you've left it behind. If they aren't in your group, then they're going to have to kill their own mobs.
