FAQ
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: Bartender4 buttons do not automatically inherit keybindings from the Blizzard bars (except for Bar 1), you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: Can I skin the buttons beyond the built-in options?
A: Bartender4 allows skinning through Masque! After installing both Bartender4 and Masque, you can customize the BT4 appearance in the Masque options.

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

I have mine set up so its hidden unless in combat, have someone targeted or on mouseover. Go in the visibility area for each bar check custom conditions and this is the code I use.
[combat][exists]show;fade

I believe so, at least that's how I used to have my bags and mini menu bar set.

E.g.
Shout macro
#showtooltip
/cast [nomodifier] Commanding Shout
/cast [modifier:shift] Battle Shout [/b]
Ya i do that for a few buttons. I can take it a step further as well. and do the whole stance modifier. So the button changes on stance, as opposed to the bar.

Options are there

Its just a good mod, low memory. And would not wanna see anything implemented to bulk it up. Stuf and this mod basically handle the majority of in game functions and their total memory are less then most singular mods of the same nature (respectively).

i design UIs/graphics for each of my toons. One of the "perks" in the game i enjoy greatly. So im always looking for things i can do better.

Thanks, now I gotta figure out why on the same window the bar for cat form and tree form is the same. When cat form bar is really 7 and tree form is 8. Thanks tho

Ah.. I can't count what I can't see

Either way, would like to make use of the lost buttons. Again, totally cosmetic, lol.
I agree it would be nice to display "Buttons 3-6" in one spot, and "Buttons 7-10" in another spot. Probably rough to implement though.

One thing I've done in the past is use macros that react to modifiers instead of having a modifer replace an entire bar. If you're dealing with a small # of related items, this is probably a cleaner approach.

E.g.
Shout macro
#showtooltip
/cast [nomodifier] Commanding Shout
/cast [modifier:shift] Battle Shout

Dual Spec works perfectly for me. Separate button configs for each spec. Even overloading Bar 10 for Tree & Moonkin worked perfectly..

.. now if someone is looking for completely different layouts per spec, erm, you're not going to find it.

Bartender4 error

So I downloaded and installed bartender4 today since it was 3.1 compatible and I am getting a strange error.

Interface\AddOns\Bartender4\ActionButton.lua:266:
attempt to call method 'SetFrameRef' (a nil value)

It occurs whenever I right click a mob to attack or when I try and loot a mob.

Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated. The game is still very much playable, but it gets annoying after that window pops up for the millionth time.

what can i say, i like spreading stuff out. With dual specs, ive already broke more things up, redesigned it a bit since technically I didnt need battle/berserker stance while Prot. Ok, kind of a cop out to use more bars for other things, lol.

Are there any plans to make Bartender more friendly with dual specs? Possibly making it switch settings with changed specs, etc... ? I believe that since Bartender uses the actual Blizzard Bars that it may be limited in making it so that your bars will change to reflect your new spells based upon your chosen settings when you switch, but stuff like that (and changed bindings) would be really neat.
