Lozareth's highly configurable Discord Unit Frames.
See the Change Log (tab above) for a list of all changes.
Updates.
10.2.1
27/10/2014. Rogues, Druids. Combo/Anticipation points and the WoD changes. DUF currenty/always has them "on the target" where available points dissapear out-of-combat and (in WoD) show up again when a new target is selected (as does the default WoD Blizzard frames). Since early Beta I've been testing a version with the points "on the player" ie. they act like a class bar, where available points can be displayed even without a target selected and also have an out-of-combat alpha option. Everything else is the same, with the exception of the actual settings moving from the target to the player class bar section of the options window. I'm thinking of implementing this "on-the-player" version and moving your current target combo/anticipation configuration to the player (no change of on screen position etc.) and setting the oocAlpha to zero (the points will "behave" as they currently do until you adjust the oocAlpha option if desired). Thoughts, concerns, better ideas? I have no implementation date in mind as yet, if at all. |

I'm not sure what's going on but WoWI is taking way longer than usual to release the update for downloading.

The copy frame is definitely still bugged (different bug I can only put down to pebcak before saving/closing the file for packaging).
Saved Variable files don't get written to until your character logs out or you /reload. I followed your initial steps including download the zip from your WoWI URL and I haven't been able to get the unlock/move error but I'm not sure if they are extending from one of the others. I'll keep looking but upload a fix for the copy bug in the meantime. The Custom Paths option was added so you could place your textures into a separate folder under Interface\Addons. The original DUF forced you to use the DiscordUnitFramesw\CustomTextures folder which might be problematic if during an update, you deleted the DUF folder before saving your textures somewhere else. Other than that, textures just have to conform to the game requirements for type, sizing etc. One of the overlooked option when using the movement arrow buttons if that right click them will bump the selected frame 10x the left click distance and holding down the mousewheel will scroll the frame until you let go.

Sorry that I keep breaking it :P
Hey Fizzlemizz,
I really love this UnitFrame addon because of the freedom it gives for configuration. I still want to check out the Custom Paths for textures, and just want to confirm whether I can use my own textures and if so, to what extent? My goal is to use the textures I created for the frames, instead of overlaying the WeakAuras on the frames. https://i.imgur.com/7yhUp2B.png <- Like this But for now I seem to have run into errors again. Firstly... I deleted any downloads I had of the DiscordUnitFrames 9_0_x.zip files (x being the version numbers), all the folders for DUF, as well as the files in the SavedVariables folders. I then downloaded the file from the below link, and copied everything into the _retail_\Interface\AddOns folder: (https://i.imgur.com/Kw5NnhW.png) https://www.wowinterface.com/downloa...cordUnitFrames From there I ran WoW and logged in with my Hunter, did a Safe Load on the default settings and then created a new profile. (Note: All the Lua errors mentioned below was resolved by reloading the default profile) From there I exited the game as I noticed the DiscordLibrary.lau and DiscordUnitFrames.lua files are only generated if you exit the game. I then ran WoW again and logged in with my Hunter, and set up the Self frame from scratch and unlocked the frames to move it manually. I then clicked on the Self Frame to move it, and it once again jumped to the top left hand corner and refused to be moved manually. Clicking the arrow buttons logged the below error: Lua Code:
Clicking the Frame to Move, and selecting 1 in the drop down logged the below error: Lua Code:
Adding the X and Y coordinates does move the frame, and then allows me to click the Arrow and Frame to Move buttons. I am also now noticing a smiley face icon on the left hand of the screen when in the config window, which is strange as I hid everything apart from the Portrait. (this did disappear after closing the DUF config window and opening it again) https://i.imgur.com/domL0KH.png - EDIT: This seems to be related to the Totem Bar, and pops up when I click to hide it. I then set up the Target frame, and did a Safe Copy of this to the Focus frame. This did not log any errors. I then did a Safe Copy from the Focus frame to the Pet frame (last time I copied from the Target frame, but wanted to check this as well). After clicking the button, this error popped up: Lua Code:
And this error kept repeating untill I hid the entire Pet frame: Lua Code:
This error popped up when I clicked the Hide button under the main pet frame tab: Lua Code:
And then closing the DUF config frame logged this error: (this only started after I broke it by copying Focus -> Pet) Lua Code:
And opening it via /duf causes this error: (this only started after I broke it by copying Focus -> Pet) Lua Code:

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Numerous LUA errors being logged.
Those images do look like the correct versions but the lines numbers you reported in the errors don't make sense/match up with the type of error that could be generated by those bits of code.
Is it possible these are from before you updated to the latest version? Maybe post the latest "version" of any errors, it's what I'm using to try and figure out what might be causing problems. Lua Code:
Thank you for you patience.

I get the feeling you might have tried DUF before . I'm glad it brings back memories of good times. I've been maintaining/working on it for almost 10 years now. How good that makes it is up to others .

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Numerous LUA errors being logged.
Hey UnavengedAvo,
It seems like you should have downloaded to correct version but the errors you posted don't match the current version of the code (the version in the UI package is certainly out of date which happens with compilations (not always a bad thing until you start getting errors )): The first one points to line 1372 of the DiscrodUnitFramesOptions\DUF_Options.lua file and says if an improper use of the function DUF_FrameOptions_YOffset:SetText Line 1372 of my version is a call to the function DUF_Initialize_FrameLoc Similarly line 1319, your error says attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'yoffset' Line 1319 of my version is an end statement which would not generate a math error. To double check I didn't mess up, I just download the zip from WoWI and checked it with the same outcome as above. To double check you are using the latest DUF version (maybe WoWUp installed it to the wrong AddOns folder): If you go to the [WoW]\_retail_\Interface\Addons\DiscordUnitFramesOptions folder and open the file DiscordUnitFramesOptions.toc in a text editor (NotePad or similar), it should show a ## Interface: of 90002 and a ## Version: of 9.0.6. You could also check those line locations in the DUF_Options.lua file in the same folder.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Numerous LUA errors being logged.
Hey Fizzlemizz, I first heard of the DUF addon from griddark, and his SlimUI addon. I downloaded the Zip file he has in the below link, and copied the addon from that directory. (SlimUI 1.48a.zip) https://www.wowinterface.com/downloa...?id=25622#info When I first ran into the errors I decided to look for the DUF addon myself just incase to one in his Zip file was outdated or had been corrupted in my download, and then downloaded it from this page and copied it to my addons folder and replacing the files that were there. https://www.wowinterface.com/downloa...o.php?id=20607 When you mentioned that you were going to release an new update after my previous logs, I decided that it would be a good idea to add the URL to the WoWUp addon manager to download any updates automatically in the future. And when the update was released, I just hit the update button on WoWUp. I hope this can maybe point to where I could have gone wrong, which lead to my current predicament |

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Numerous LUA errors being logged.
Hey there,
I'm having a look at some of the errors and the error location specified are not consistent with the current (uploaded yesterday) code. It would seem like you are not using the current Retail version of DUF or at least the DiscordUnitFramesOptions folder of DUF. It looks possibly like it might either be an old version or quite possibly a folder from a DUF for Classic zip. Because of the now very different versions of the API, DUF has a two distinctly different versions, One for Retail and one for Classic and they are not interchangeable. Or possibly you are reporting problems happening in Classic with Classic DUF? I assume reports here are for Retail and Classic problems are posting on the Classic DUF page.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Numerous LUA errors being logged.
Can I ask how you're attaching the WeakAuras to Self etc? Being secure, Unit frames can be a bit touchy when not in control of themselves or child frames they don't know about. DUF is possibly a bit more so than other because it was created in an age when these things didn't really need to be considered. I'll take a look at the errors and see if I can determine what's going on. Again thank you for taking the time to report these

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Numerous LUA errors being logged.
Hey It's me again... Seems like I have managed to break the thing again
I downloaded the update, and then deleted the configuration files again to ensure that I am not working from a broken config file. I managed to set everything up without a hitch, and then started working on my layout again setting all the config options and attaching my WeakAuras to the Self, Target, Focus, and Pet frames. I sized and scaled the Pet, target, and Focus frames without any issues... But when I tried to set the scale the Self frame it jumped up a bit, and when I click on it to manually move the frame, it jumped to the top left corner and is now throwing this error when I click on the arrows or "Frame to Move" option in the config window: Lua Code:
I can't seem to move it at all now Edit: I relogged and attempted to move the frame again, and I am also seeing this error: Lua Code:
Edit 2: So adding adding the coordinates into the "x" and "y" fields seems to move the frame around, and then also allows me to use the arrow buttons and "Frame to Move" option.
