RaidFramesPlus  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.50a
by: Macniel [More]

RaidFrames+ is another set to improve the game experience with the standard interface provided with the latest version of World of Warcraft.

I have resumed this project (which started with the not so popular MacTools) because the current RaidFrames have been improved with Wrath of the Lich King but not as much as I wished (and other RaidFrames looks just deplaced in the default Interface).

What does this AddOn do to the RaidFrames

Currently this AddOn adds ( or improves ) these functions in the raidframes:

  • Debuff-highlightning : the frame of an affected Raidmember will glow in the corresponding debuff color also the Debuff is moved within the UnitButton to save screen estate.
  • Custom Aura-Highlightning : define in a special list in which color a Raidmember should be highlighted if it has a defined aura (by name)
  • Healthtext: over the Health and Manabar there is now a number that display the current Health of this unit
  • 4 Different displaytypes of Health:
    • absolute values,
    • deficite values (mainly for healers),
    • big k values ( values bigger than 1,000 will be represented as thousands) and
    • percent values
    • NEW : custom format (see below)
  • Aggro : the littel dot next to the healthbar is a nice addition by Blizzard, but for me it is hard to distinguish; so the Healthtext will be colored by the current ThreatSituation (Red : tanking; Orange: Winning on Threat; Yellow: hardly tanking)
  • RaidIcons: right next to the UnitButtons thier should be the current raid target icon (lucky charms) displayed
  • Fixed Borders: of Healthbars and Manabars
  • Graphical Interface Configuration Panel
  • Enhanced Healthar display modi:
    • Allways doublesize : this option will hide the manabar and increase height of the healthbar by 200%
    • No Mana: this option will hide the manabar if the unit has no mana as powersource (rogues, warriors, deathknights, non caster-pets, vehicles) and increase the height of the healthbar (in this mode those raidframes looks like xperl in blizzard style)
    • Never : the healthbar is untouched and the manabar is displayed as usual
  • Mass-toggle between debuff and buff display (this is useful during buffing the raid) inspired by lab1702 and his addon RaidPulloutOrganizer
how to configure this AddOn?

The configuration will be done via the interface options, but you have to use
/rfp -d

to mass-toggle between buffs and debuffs

If you have suggestions please post them into comments, bugreports please into my portal thank you.

bugfixes since v2.50a
Added a update_scale call in the configuration panel so the raid frames should be scaled when every you leave the configuration panel
since v2.50

since v2.30

since v2.20
A new algorithm has been implemented which will now consume less addon memory (but increased cpu cycles) this should do all the stuff more faster and more reliable

since v2.18
RaidTargetIcons function has been fixed now.

since v2.16
RaidTargetIcons implemented, to enable check the Interface options (experimentell)

since v2.12

Known bug: RaidFramesPlus prevents somehow clicking on the Targetframe of an unitbutton

since v2.10a
Fixed a strange typo (which cause registering events that are not existing thus leading to malfunctioning) : RAID_ROSTER_UPDATE was RAID_ROASTER_UPDATE (mmh tasty)

since v2.10
Improved and localed algorithms, this addon should now no longer impact the performance that much (in idle mode it has a footprint of 21 Kb)
New Feature added: mass-toggle between buffs and debuffs (inspired by lab1702 and RaidPulloutOrganizer)

since v2.00
GetOpt configuration Interface by seebs
3.1 compatibility changed
Bugfixed a strange behavior that result in flickering debuffbackground

Oh man I love this add-on, please some one make some very basic changes to this.

Raid debuff filters, I see ICC raid debuff across the board when able to see all debuffs. A filter would be fantastic. Options to make debuffs span into the frame mroe than just one into it, or outside to the right.

Man love this thing, great add-on.

Also does this use blizzard predicted health refresh rate like the base UI?

I love this addon, works great, love the scaling, and the text options.
The only Issue i find is the debuffs. I would love for debuffs to be displayed across the raid frame. Much like the compact version displays 1 debuff within the window.....just 4 across or what ever fits with in.
Also the raid icon display, can that be put within the frame as well.

All in all this is a great addon, Great job.

Anything I can do on my side to make those request available? I wonder if i missed something.

Praise and minor suggestion

Hi,

this addon is great! I've been looking for something like this for a long time.

While playing around a bit I noticed some minor things that would be a cool addition:

-I fully support the request for frame locking
-Frame positioning options would be great (you mentioned RaidPulloutOrganzier; something like this)
-The debuff-recoloring of the frame doesn't seem to be affected by the alpha settings for the out-of-range-check

Thanks a lot for this addon!

Ok,
With the scale set to 100% the positioning is good.
When I set it to 70%, or other small values, didnt try large ones, is starts to go screwy.
Something with the way the scale is being applied maybe?
Is it being applied to the origin/anchor of the frame or something like that?
Cos when I change the scale it moves on the screen when it refreshes and resizes.

Ok,
I blame Blizzard,
The MT and MA frames are fine now, but not last night.
Maybe my client was being special.
I know some other people were having strange experiences.

As for the positioning thing,
that is kinda what I figured...
either I have an interaction hapening,
or blizzard are causing it.
Thanks heaps.

It also does not seem to apply to the MT and MA frames? Is that expected behaviour.
There seems to be an issue with the x,y co-ordinates for positioning.
When I try to put it on the right side of my screen it is snapping to the top of the screen and left of where I am releasing it. Kinda like something might be overflowing, but I am not sure if you hare handling this or if Blizz is (mis)handling it.
it should actually apply to MT and MA frames since they are considered as pullouts. And this AddOn does not in any way change the positions of the raidframes.

Exclamation Scaling

I have only just installed RFP, and,
The scaling of the Raid Frames seemd not to be working.
And that is the main feature that I wanted it for.

definitly, my approach is a list where you can add debuff/buffnames and set the color that will be used to highlight the unit if this one has this given debuff/buff.

Oh, I think I figured out the duplicate raid icons as well. It is happening when 1 person has a target icon on them and they get moved in the raid to another party. The mark stays on their last position as well as follows them to their new position. ( I think ).
Its the fault of RAID_TARGET_UPDATE.
I had now encountered this bug yesterday, too. As I was killed while i was marked as Skull and the Targeticon stayed. So there is no other way to update these Icons more frequently - when a unit dies, when a unit is moved around etc.
