Grid has been continued as Plexus by Doadin. Use that instead; Grid has not been updated since 2018 and will not be updated in the future.

Grid is a compact and highly configurable party/raid unit frame addon.
The compact grid of unit frames lets you select a group member quickly, while keeping a good overview of the whole group. It shows as much information as possible without overloading you. It allows you to customize what information you see, and how you see it. It works in both party and raid groups, and supports pets and vehicles.

Want more features? The Grid core tries to include only features which are generally useful for all classes and roles, but makes it easy to add new features with a simple plugin API for developers. Over 75 third-party plugins are already available!

Type “/grid” for options, or right-click the minimap button, DataBroker launcher, or Grid frame tab.

Language Support
Grid is compatible with all World of Warcraft localizations. It is currently translated into English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Русский, 한국어, 简体中文, and 繁體中文.

To add or update translations for any language, enter them on the WowAce project page. New and updated translations will be automatically included in the next version of Grid!

HINT: The WowAce interface for adding translations is quite cumbersome. To make the process easier, you can use the Export function on WowAce, copy the exported data into your text editor, fill in your translations, and then paste them back into WowAce using the Import function.
Credits
Grid was originally conceived and written by Maia and Pastamancer in late 2006. Phanx has been the primary developer since late 2009. Jerry wrote the original pet support code. Mikk designed the icon. jlam added some advanced options for auras. Greltok has helped a lot with bugfixing. Finally, lots of people have contributed translations!

Well, not quite. I tried to use Grid in AV, and I got a never ending stream of error messages. Had to just disable it.

Trinity interaction

I'm having the same problems with Grid wanting to lock to the top when Trinity is running. This is with the latest version of trinity and the release version of Grid and the latest off of wowace. It's really annoying problem because Grid is a really amazing mod but at the same time so is Trinity so I would like to be able to use them both.

alright, i reverted to the version of grid currently posted, deleted my saved variables file and turned on the debugging option (as requested) and still don't see any poison/curse/disease/magic debuffs on anyone BUT myself. aggro works, target works, heals incoming works -- just none of the debuffs.

in order to see if it was an interaction with other mods, i logged and turned off everything BUT grid and that still didn't help.

the debug log shows that things are being processed (it would say stuff like 'player 3 gains debuff ... -- icon ... loaded') -- it just doesn't seem to display.

That sounds very strange indeed. In GridFrame.lua, find the line that looks like

ok, done. i had to use 2 people dueling each other while in raid to get some results. i dunno if that taints anything, but when i tried to record some data in arathi basin, the debug info scrolled off faster than i could see anything.

anyway...

all i got was 'showing status for <name> on [bar/text]' and 'showing status [-hp] on text' -- no debuffs (i had 2 warlocks duel each other. curses galore.)

I'll look into the problem with trinity, but if bongos and bartender3 don't cause the same problem, it's likely that the author of trinity will have to fix something.

For what it's worth, r19528 is showing debuffs for me just fine. Turn on debugging for the GridStatusAuras module and check your combat log (or whatever your ChatFrame2 is) for debug messages.
Awesome mod. I grabbed the version from here today and can confirm missing debuffs on raid frames. Running ZG, not picking up any in Grid but decursive is.

Feature Request

I was wondering if you could work a feature to customise the layout of the Grid, similar to the way Player Targets work in SRaid/CTRaid.

I want to be able to define the 'top most' or 'own party' shown in the grid to the people I want to see at the top of the grid, as priorities to heal/decurse in my mind and as a way of sorting the raid.

It'd be nice if they still appeared within their groups in the raid in the rest of the grid, but this isn't entirely necessary.

Edit: It'd be even nicer if there could be more than 5 people that can be designated 'player targets'.

Really Nice mod! Thanks, just wondering if u can help me. Not being into pastels myself I would like to make all the bars green with red for the health missing part so the red increases as the health decreases.
Is this possible and if so how?

Thanks. I tinkered around for a while grouping with random grinders at Gahrons Withering (lots of debuffs). I could not isolate the issue to a conflict with another mod or my Grid configuration. I do observe my debuffs in the grid, just no one elses. Really looking forward to using Grid instead of other unit Frames as it is much cleaner as a healer/cleanser.

Been using it for a couple of days and think it's looking like a winner. Although I am also suffering from the problem below, that it currently only shows my debuffs and no one elses.
