Mega Damage (Warlords Compatible)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.6.10
by: Germbread [More]

Inspired by Blizzard's blog post about the "great item squish", this addon brings to life the proposed "Mega Damage" system (or attempts to, at least).

What exactly does it do?
When a spell/ability deals enough damage healing in one hit, the MEGA DAMAGE display will flash on the screen, accompanied by the Arcanite Ripper sound.

The amount of damage/healing done by the spell is converted into "mega damage"/"mega healing" (at 1/1000th of the original value), which is then what is displayed on the screen.

Configuration/Commands:
Type /mdmg to open the configuration window.

Available options include (but are not limited to):

  • Toggling and changing sound effects
  • Frame scaling, opacity and repositioning
  • Damage thresholds

This addon is definitely not for Rogues.

Sad.

Yes, there are options to change what sound plays for both damage and healing (individual options), as well as an option to disable sound entirely. Either open up the Interface Options panel or type "/mdmg" to open up the config panel, and it's there.

Lol this will be a really fun addon if you are a mage/warlock that is a flyer on the Alysrazor fight. With all that haste + 75% to crit from flying through 25 rings, this one is gonna go off a lot, especially if you proc your trinks at this time.

I completely agree, I'd like to see a manual threshold setting in a future update. (This setting should be on a perCharacter basis)
I'd also like to see a draggable anchor so move the location of the mega damage frame around. I'd like mine to move up a big more on the screen.

Kudos!

Great looking addon! I might not keep it, but I'll definitely give it a spin.

awesome, but i rly think its too small. Can u enlarge the "mega damage" image x2 or 2,5?. The image for a mega damge must be mega and not only "big".
I'll probably just add a custom scaling option. I'd actually scaled it down at the last minute because I thought it'd be too big for some.

i knew someone would do this lol. but it should say MEGA HEAL for healing
I shall fix that too, that thought completely slipped past my mind :P
