TotemTimers  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 13.0.6
by: Xianghar [More]

Show timers for totems and shaman spells (duration, cooldown).

There are 5 bars where you can place you spells as buttons, similar to action buttons. Those buttons will show timers for a spells cooldown or the duration for a spells buff if it is active.

Totems show their durations. Also supports timers for Windfury Weapon and Flametongue Weapon as well as a cooldown timer for reincarnation.

Shows a movable power bar and a bar for Flameshock duration on your target.

TT supports ButtonFacade and rActionButtonStyler for customizing its appearance.

A big thanks to all who kept the localization of TT up-to-date.

10.0
- TT can replace the new totem bar, you select one of the new multicast spells with the new multicast button,
Totems selected by rightclick in the totem menus are assigned to the selected multicast spell.
A rightclick on the multicast button casts Totemic Recall (middleclick if menu is set to open on rightclick.)
- Weapon Buff button now has a menu to choose buffs with a rightclick from
instead of its old GUI settings, atm this menu opens on rightclick only
(choose a weapon buff by rightclicking, cast it by leftclicking the weapon buff tracker,
if you selected one of the buff combos (wf/fl, wf/fb) cast twice).
- Spell assigned to the Weapon Buff button is saved for each talent spec and is changed on
talent spec switch
- Set totem order by shift-dragging, you should even be able to drag a totem onto your actionbars
- Frame positions saved in settings instead of cache only
- Reenabled textures for warnings
- Warnings now sent through LibSink
- The range checker should consider buffs with the same effect as the active totem's buff
(e.g. a player with Horn of Winter buff is considered to be in range of Strength Totem)
- Updated ruRU, koKR, and zhTW localization, thanks to StingerSoft, Sayclub, and a9012456
- Removed TT-Macro, the new multicast spells do a better job
- Removed "Recast last totem", totems are chosen by rightclick only (would be awkward to select a totem by casting it
when you're selecting it to be cast with other totems at once)

TT messes up when I switch specs

This has been happening to me for a while and I have just ignored it in hopes that newer versions would just fix it. That and I was lazy in creating an account to post a comment.

Whenever I switch specs the functionality of the Shield and Weapon buttons is not working properly.

While it does put on the shield and wpn imbue I want (in my case FT and Waster Shield) the timer portion and icon do not refresh.

What I mean is if I had Earthliving on and switched to elem I can use the wpn imbue icon to put on FT and I see the change and 30 min duration in my char buff screen. However, the time and imbue icon does not change to FT and 30 mins in the TT icons. It stays at whatever I had.

If I reloadui it works again until I respec again.

Useless complaint is useless.

How is it "bugged for 3.3". You see any error messages (turn on LUA error messages in Interface, Help)? Is something not functioning as expected? If so, what?

The author can't help without knowing what the problem is.

Macro for the active Multicast set?

Hi, I just got this addon and it's amazing.

I'm wondering if it's possible to create a macro that will use the active multicast set. Then I could use the same keybind for whatever "call of" is selected.

I use pages on my action bars so I can't use the keybind feature. But if I could make a macro, then I could just drop that on my bars.

Thanks

Multicast?

Hello - is the multicast "button" or "function" level dependent? I bound a key to "Open Multicast Menu" - nothing happens. I set the scale of the button to HUGE - I see no button - only the individual family of totems.

I currently only have earth and fire totems - but I "thought" I could setup the multicast button to throw both totems at once?

Thanks for the help - sorry if I am missing something obvious.

Yes, the multicast buttons are level based. You get them at levels 30, 40, and 50.

They are called "Call of the (X)". Where X is Elements, Spirit, and Ancestors.

Unless I am reading the instructions incorrectly the EarthShield recast ability isn't working.

Example:

1. Target NPC
2. Cast EarthShield
3. Target No-one
4. Use ReCast
5. Earthshield activates on myself

Of course it might be a raid/party only recast option so I will test again once we get going with the raid. I've only just noticed the option so have no idea how long it hasn't been working as I am expecting it to.

Edit: Okay, can confirm Players can be recasted on. Probably due to lack of unique identity.

hi,

rankwatch addon is always nagging about how i use flametongue totem rank 6 at lvl80 where max rank is 8. When checking spellbook, I do have latest (lvl8) totem in it...

i guess it has something to do with respeccing to secondary spec. what should i do to use the latest totems (with totemtimers of course)?

thanks

thanks
Rankwatch is correct there is a problem with TotemTimers and it is not related to dual specs.

The TT_ActionButtonkj buttons (the pop-out buttons) cast the correct max-rank totems.
The XiTimers_Timeri buttons (the totemtimer totembar buttons) cast downranked totems.
The TotemTimers_MultiSpell button (the call of .... buttons) also save and cast downranked totems.

Edit2: My comment comes from testing v10.2 Beta 1

Edit3: At the moment the way to make it work is after you visit the trainer and some ranks update is to delete and re-create the saved sets.
a. Right-Click the totem you want to save from the pop-out button to set it to the bar.
b. Use the Call of ... button to test that it puts down the max-rank totems.
c. Right-click the reincarnation looking button to save the updated set.

Edit4: I went into SetupTimers.lua and did a minor edit to the
function TotemTimers.SetupTotemCastButtons()
Where it says
Code:
for i=1,4 do
    XiTimers.timers[i].button:SetAttribute("Cast"..nr.."-"..id, TotemTimers.ActiveSpecSettings.CastButtons[name][nr])
end
edited to
Code:
for i=1,4 do
	XiTimers.timers[i].button:SetAttribute("Cast"..nr.."-"..id, TotemTimers.ActiveSpecSettings.CastButtons[name][nr])
	XiTimers.timers[i].button:SetAttribute("*spell1", id)
end
I will not know if it solves the issue until I level again though

This piece of code in the same function also seems unnecessary
Code:
for i=1,4 do
	local spell = XiTimers.timers[i].button:GetAttribute("*spell1")
	if spell then
		XiTimers.timers[i].button:SetAttribute("*spell1", spell)
	end
end
It checks if a timer button has a spell and then sets that exact spell on that same button again?

Yes, to eliminate lower ranks from TT you have to reassign the totems to the multicast spells and TT sets atm.

That function is for configuring the two small totem buttons next to each totem timer button not the totem timer buttons themselves.
The last piece of code is to invoke the _onattributechanged part of the secure timer button which handles the display of the small totem buttons.

Change order

Since I updated, my default earth totem got switch to the earthbind totem. How the heck do I make the stoneskin default? Also, is there a way to reorder the totem selection list?
