TotemTimers  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 11.0.18
by: Xianghar [More]
TotemTimers aims to help managing totems, shields, and weapon buffs, showing additional info about active totems (range, cooldowns) and provides additional totem sets. For enhancement shamans (and soon for ele/resto also) it provides additional timers displaying the cooldown of the most important spells and the number of Maelstrom Weapon stacks. TT supports ButtonFacade and rActionButtonStyler for customizing its appearance.

Manual (for TT 10.1 beta)

In TT the four totem timer buttons are referred to as Timers, the timer buttons for Reincarnation, shields and weapons are referred to as Trackers. The three "Call of ..." spell are referred to as multicast spells.

Hovering over a timer button opens a flyout menu containing buttons for all totems for that timer's element. Leftclicking a button casts that totem, rightclicking assigns that totem to the active multicast spell and to the timer button; leftclicking the timer button will then cast this totem. The assigned totem is displayed as a small icon (referred to as mini icon) in the lower right corner of the timer button. The last button of each flyout menu serves to delete a totem from the active multicast spell.

The multicast spell button works similar: Leftclicking a spell in the flyout menu cast the multicast spell; rightclicking selects it as the active spell, assigns it to the multicast button and updates the four timer buttons accordingly.

The weapon buff tracker also has a flyout menu: Leftclicking will cast a spell; rightclicking assigns it as the leftclick spell to the tracker button; shift-rightclicking assigns it as the rightclick spell to the tracker button (TT 10.1). The flyout menu contains two spell combos for enhancement shamans that can be assigned to the tracker button as leftclick only (by rightclick). Then the first leftclick on the tracker button casts Windfury Weapon, the second leftclick casts either Flametongue or Frostbrand.

Additional Totem Sets (TT 10.1)

The reincarnation tracker serves as an anchor for up to 8 additional totem sets. Rightclicking the ankh tracker saves the configuration of the active multicast spell. Leftclicking the ankh tracker opens a menu with all totem sets, each menu button displays four icons containing its saved totems. Leftclicking a menu buttons loads that set to the active multicast spell, overwriting the active totem configuration. Rightclicking a menu buttons deletes its set.

Additional totem dependant cast buttons

In TT 10.1 for each totem timer button 2 additional smaller cast buttons are introduced. Initially hidden they can be configured to show additional totems, which are then available to cast without opening a totem menu. The totem spell which they contain is always dependant on the active totem assigned to the multicast spell and totem timer button (and can/has to be configured for each totem). For each totem in the game two spells can be assigned as additional casts (options gui -> Totems -> Cast Button 1 and Cast Button 2). If a totem is then assigned to its timer button or the active multicast spell is changed, the two cast buttons change to the two spells assigned for that totem.

A possible configuration could be: The current assigned totem for the water timer button is Mana Spring Totem. The additional buttons show Mana Tide Totem and Cleansing Totem. The player changes the active multicast spell to Healing Stream Totem. In his configuration the cast buttons now change to Mana Spring Totem and Mana Tide Totem.

Whenever I move tracker or totem buttons to the bottomright edge of my screen they stop working. They still track cooldown but they become non-clickable. Reseting the position solves the problem, but as soon as I move them to the right edge of the screen the problem reappears.

You just have to do the class quests. The last one is available at 30 and awards the air totem.

Thank you for such a quick reply. Guess I got more leveling up to do.

Hi, I have been looking for a good timer/totem sets addons for awhile now and I do think yours is most fitting for my needs.

I do have a question though, I can't seem to create new sets? I have all the totems out and right click on the ankh timer and to no avail. I am not sure if it happens to be the fact that I do not have all the totems yet. I am level 32 on my shaman.

Please and thank you for any help.

@ashopedies: I'll think about it. Hiding them oout of combat should not be too hard.

@ereth: I'll added that line about class colors. It should work but I did not test it.

Two very very small feature requests.
Would love you to add support for Class Colors by phanx to the missing buffs. At the moment I've added this by replacing raid_class_colors in SetupTimers.lua with custom_class_colors but it should be as simple as adding "Local RAID_CLASS_COLORS = CUSTOM_CLASS_COLORS or RAID_CLASS_COLORS".

Also, I'd love it if you where to make it so that omnicc dosn't add cooldown timers to the bars as this addon already provides that.
Info on how to do that can be found at http://code.google.com/p/tullamods/w...27t_want_it_to.

Thank you for this great addon and keep up the good work

Would it be possible to implement hiding all timer- and trackerbuttons but show them on mouseover? I'm always looking for ways to clean up my UI.

@EllisDee: Yes, will add that in one of the next releases.

@richerich: I have heard that from several people though I cannot reproduce that error. Somehow it seems that faulty settings are saved for the trackers' positions, so I need to see the saved settings from someone else. Could you send me the contents of the TotemTimers.lua in the SavedVariables folder as a PM please? (WoW\WTF\Account\Accountname\Servername\Charname\SavedVariables\TotemTimers.lua)

Hide Keybindings

Any chance for a setting that would allow me to hide the keybindings?

@Malice: The macro always contains the totems assigned to the timer buttons. It sounds to me that the best for you would be to turn off the option "Recast last totem", the spells assigned to the timer buttons won't change then if you cast totems via your action bar.
But I'll implement the option to exclude hidden totems from the timer buttons.

@Tylius: I forgot to implement hiding OmniCC's and similar addon's cooldowns on the ankh button in 9.0 and 9.1, it's on my to-do list. (It's much less work then implementing options to hide individual timer bars and I think it looks better if all tracker buttons look the same).

@Great White Cow: I'm not sure if or when I'm going to implement support for rActionButtonStyler. The weapon tracker uses two textures instead of the usual one so implementing support for skinning addons is not trivial and takes time.

@happykd: Should be fixed now.

@richerich: I cannot reproduce that error. ButtonFacade and ButtonFacade_Onyx work for me without any errors.

@KowalskiAvesky: At the moment there is no way the reorganize the Enhanceer CD buttons.

@Puru: It depends on when the European servers are up. I'll most likely test the addon on the ptr and make fixes if necessary, but I want to test them on live first before uploading a new version.

Love This Addon

Great job and I just love this addon. I was wondering though how long it will it will take to update this addon when Patch 3.1 rolls around. I use this heavily in raids for the ease of use since I love the remembering of totems. I was wondering how long I will be handicaped since I can see my guild wanting to go into Uldar 'right' away.

Hi Xianghar,

It's possible to reorganize the EnhanceCDs buttons?

I would like to change the buttons to a order similar to my keyboard. It's not essential, just a cosmetic feature.

Thanks for such great addon. Looking forward to the "ShammyPower" feature for raids
