Version: v3.2.0

DISCONTINUED

  • /classbuttons3 or /cb3

Minimalism and low usage are key! This addon will display buttons which are not often used in neat rows for easy access.

To enhance this addon further, use the following addons:

BUGS:
  • None I know of.

05Aug2009: TOC Update

29July2009: Added a new feature: "Fly in stealth mode"

16July2009: Fixed the 'changing tooltip' issue that would occur each time the player learned new spell ranks or changed talent trees via dual spec.

30May2009: Fixed the occasional issue with ButtonFacade integration.

23May2009: Fixed the error that would occur when the player switched specs.

14May2009: ButtonFacade support up to 100%, fixed the issue with bars not staying hidden if the player chooses.

11May2009: Cleaned up button creation, it no longer uses a 'ClassButtons Template'. Added support for OmniCC.

06May2009: Fixed the issue with vehicles causing buttons to disappear, but not reappear. Updated Options code, to make it easier to add new features, and more seamless integration.

15April2009: Added support for Dual Specs, cleaned up quite a few spells in spell list and glyph support. Also changed how often, and the way buttons are refreshed to make the addon MUCH less CPU intensive during the loading process.

13April2009: Fixed the issue with low level characters.

09April2009: Reworked the button positioning code, should now work flawlessly. Also updated the Spells listing.

05April2009: Options now only load once after typing /cb3 multiple times.
#2: Fixed the mage conjur food/water issue

03April2009: I reworked the glyph checking, item counting, Shaman spells and updated a lot of other code. Also made the options 'load on demand' to avoid unnecessary memory usage.
#2: Fixed the options loading issue.

02April2009: Reworked the glyph checking code. Since this is mainly for Druids (so far) as they are the only ones with - reagent glyphs that I know of, if there is any issues let me know!

01April2009: Fixed quite a few lingering issues...

11March2009: Fixed an error that is given to classes which have no spells on their bars.

09Mar2009: Rewrote a lot of the code and legacy functions to make things much smoother, most notibly the button positioning and scaling. Also, partially added ButtonFacade support.

27Feb2009: Rewrote the button template, and updated the code for when buttons are created/moved/updated. Also adjusted some scaling code.

14Jan2009: Added support for character specific settings, scale horizontal bars & vertical bars independantly, and updated spells for most classes.

06Jan2009: Cleaned up options window, added more Alpha options, and updated Mage Portal: spells.

30Dec2008: Added mouse over alpha support and removed the reagent count for druids when they have the glyph. Also added the missing lvl 71+ mage and hunter spells.

08Dec2008: Updated some DK spells & so forth. I will be doing more adding/removing from this area in the future. As my DK is gaining more levels. =)

01Dec2008: Fixed the issues with vertical/horiz bars not saving the show/hide settings after relogging. Also added the new ranks of Priest consumables for Prayers, and Druids now have item counts on the Gifts/Rebirth spells.

18Nov2008 Fixed some anchor issues. Also, I added the easyPos option to the anchor itself, and removed '/cb3 easypos'.
23Oct2008 Fixed the scaling issue.

17Oct2008#2 Fixed '/cb3 easypos' bug. =\

17Oct2008 Fixed the options resetting bug.

15Oct2008 Cleaned up Pally spells a bit.

14Oct2008 Updated and released for 3.0.2. Also increased font size in Options window.

03Oct2008 Added a configuration window! /cb3 to change all your settings. I left in '/cb3 easypos' because it was a habbit of mine. CB3 will now auto update when you gain levels, train spells, and use talent points! No more /reloadui to get it to have the most up-to-date spells! Cleaned up a bunch of code, and fixed the shift-click on anchors error.

24Sept2008 Should now always position correctly to the anchors (mages saw this problem the most).

22Sept2008 Fixed WolTK error on line 345 - Added the self cast modifier to all buttons - fixed line 98 error.

Fixed Paladin (v3.0.2) spells and button colouring.

Hmm, I'm unsure of what to tell you. I cannot replicate this issue. The slider bars in the windows use the exact same variable to set them self's, as the bars do to change their sizes. You are using the latest version right?

I have deleted the SavVar's, and trying it out now.
I deleted them, and again my horizontal bar is at 0.9 scale (=good) and so is my vertical bar (=bad, set it to 1.0).

Did you delete your saved vars while logged into the game? or were you logged out, deleted them, and ran wow.exe?

I've got 300 addons installed, and downloaded >1250 approx. I know how the addon mechanism works

I booted my computer, deleted the savvar's, started wow, changed the scale and options, quit wow, restarted wow, and they had wrong scale.

I had same issue with ProcBorders, here's a link and a fix in the comments:

http://www.wowinterface.com/download....html#comments

Of course his code is completely different from yours, but maybe you'll see the light after reading that =D.

Ah, yeah. The problem with his addon was that he was setting the
Code:
table = {}
every load. Which, if you used that as your saved variables table, would be saved on every exit, and then would be erased each time your addon was loaded. My problem is not as similar. As my variables are being saved, and used on the buttons. Here is what I've done to try and replicate your issue:
  • Set button scale to 2.0, logged out, and back in
  • Set button scale to 2.0, zoned in to rage fire chasm, and back out
  • Set button scale to 2.0, and did a /console reloadui
  • Set button scale to 2.0, and switched characters, then logged back on my main
  • Set button scale to 2.0, exit game, and log back in
After doing all of that, the settings were saved at 2.0 scale.

Did you set the buttons at different scales? The problem is not that they reset to 1.0 or 2.0, but that the one (0.9 or 1.0) resets to the other value (1.0 or 0.9).

Try setting the horizontal bar on 1.5 and the vertical bar on 2.0, then try those things again

You'll be glad to know I found the issue. =)

!

Also got any idea on why you couldn't reproduce it or was it just that you didn't set the sliders at different values?

The problem was during the button creation/update. There was an error with one of my 'for loops'. Yesterday I rewrote the entire button update sequence from scratch, and so it's running quite a bit better now =)

I don't know how much time I'll have this weekend to finish my updates. I really want to get the ButtonFacade integration 100% before I release the latest version. It shouldn't be any later than Monday at the latest.

I've released the update today, including the positioning and scaling bug fixes, and a few other code rewrites. Also, i have partially added ButtonFacade support, for those who use it. See note on 'Addon info.' page.

Hiya Giving the ol' noob question on this paticular addon, since no one else has v.v lmao. This doesn't replace the Blizz UI does it? If it doesn't, does that mean it adds 1 extra bar on top of Blizz's 2, and 4 (?) Oo next to the Blizz's 2 side ones? (and can you decide what goes where, how many, etc) ?

If you could (please ) put up a screenshot(s) of the config menu, and if you can do Blizz's with this, a screenshot of them all together? (a mage one *grins* lol jk...my main is a lock, but been leveling a mage recently ^^)

Thank you so much ^_^ It looks awesome

* This does not replace Blizz's UI.
* 1 to 4 (depends on your class) extra bars are added on top of Blizz's 6 action bars (2 action bar, 2 under, 2 right). You can have 2 vertical and 2 horizontal bars, movable and customizable.
* It is customizable up to a point, editing the Spells.lua works fine for changing vertical-horizontal bars, adding/removing spells and/or changing the order in a bar
* If you're on your mage ClassButtons will generate 4 bars, as seen in the file Spells.lua.
It makes
One bar for Teleporting ("Teleport: Dalaran", etc.)
One for Portalling ("Portal: Dalaran", etc.)
One for Conjuring ("Conjure Food", "Conjure Mana Gem", etc.)
And one for Buffs ("Mage Armor", "Molten Armor", "Fire Ward", etc.)

It rocks, download it, and check it out

out.

Edited because I can

I'll check it out

Also, in Spells.lua at Paladins:
Code:
            "Seal of the Crusader",
has been removed since WotLK.
