Further to my previous comment, the Action Usable method seems to work, but it isn't ideal, as the aura will disappear/reappear when I use something with the GCD (ie anything!). I would much rather use Debuff Type. Please help!

Debuff Type - Bleed
I've been trying to set up an aura for when I can use Hunger For Blood. I was trying to do this by determining when my enemy target had the debuff type "bleed". Unfortunately, I have had no success.
Version:st3.0.0E; gcd:bofalse; b:nu0; anim1:nu1; g:nu0.07843137254902; optunitn:bofalse; ignoremaj:botrue; stacksLower:nu0; target:botrue; icon:st; size:nu0.75; torsion:nu1; r:nu1; y:nu-30; x:nu0; customname:st; groupany:botrue; isAlive:botrue; timerduration:nu0; unitn:st; bufftype:nu3; stacks:nu0; focus:bofalse; raid:bofalse; texture:nu5; alpha:nu1; aurastext:st; symetrie:nu0; owntex:bofalse; isResting:nu0; duration:nu0; mine:bofalse; multiids:st; inVehicle:bofalse; speed:nu1; anim2:nu0; stacksOperator:st>=; realaura:nu1; threshold:nu50; exact:bofalse; spec2:botrue; textaura:bofalse; InactiveDueToState:botrue; wowtex:botrue; groupOrSelf:bofalse; customsound:st; combat:nu0; id:nu3; inParty:nu0; HideRequest:bofalse; Active:bofalse; aurastextfont:nu1; buffname:stBleed; inRaid:nu0; tooltipCheck:st; customtex:bofalse; stance:nu10; isSecondary:bofalse; thresholdinvert:bofalse; spec1:botrue; Debug:bofalse; beginSpin:bofalse; Showing:bofalse; UseOldAnimations:bofalse; begin:nu0; off:bofalse; party:bofalse; texmode:nu1; inverse:bofalse; ismounted:bofalse; targetfriend:bofalse; randomcolor:bofalse; sound:nu0; finish:nu1 I attack a target dummy, build some points and then rupture. The aura does not display. When I ctrl-click in /powa it says "Won't show because target doesn't have debuff type Bleed", although it quite clearly does. When I mouseover the text box for the name of the debuff type in /powa, all debuff types seem to be listed there except bleed. Is bleed supported as a debuff type? I have followed the steps in "Help! My aura doesn't show up!" but still, nothing. As an alternative, I tried using "Action Usable" and for Hunger For Blood but I receive the message "Won't show because not found on Action Bar". However, Hunger For Blood is sitting on Action Bar 1, button 5. I do use Bartender 4 - could this cause a problem? I love this addon, I've successfully set up a series of auras but this is the only one I'm having trouble with. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

still having a power aura issue
Hello,
this is like my 3rd or 4th post about this. my power aura wont show page1 of the auras and when i exported my set and a friend of mine imported it, his page 1 disappeared. we both had to move our sets to page 5 in order to use it. any idea what might cause that or steps we could take to resolve it? thanks ~Shay |

In need of some Aura Help.
I am playing a hunter right now and had this wonderful idea for helping me with it. I want to show a little square. I have the texture made. I want this square to be Green if the mob doesn't have Serpent Sting on it, and Red if it does. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!! |

Quirky Purgable Spells Aura
While fighting PvE world mobs with my Elemental Shaman, an Aura for alerting on Purgable buffs works great. It even (and unexpectedly) alerts when the mob begins casting that buff on itself -- before the buff is even active -- which allows me to interrupt the cast, preventing the mob from achieving the buff, at all. This behavior is excellent (though quirky), however it works only when not in instances.
This issue specifically relates to heroic WotLK instances whereby every single mob I click on pops the aura, even when they have no buffs at all and they are not casting anything. As a test, I've attempted to Purge them repeatedly and even cast-interrupt them (both when they are and are not casting) but to no avail. The aura repeatedly fires for no obvious reason. The Power Aura reason for activation reads something to the effect of, "Should activate because target has purgable buff *." This is in no way helpful for troubleshooting. It could be if the message actually reported the spell/buff name that the aura is tripping on. I'm forced to disable this aura when in instances, but I'd really rather have it work like when in combat with PvE world mobs! I truly hope that I just configured the aura incorrectly. If this is my mistake, then great! Please correct the aura (below) and I'll be more than happy to incorporate the fix. If this is a bug, please see to correcting it. Thank you! Post add note: This is easily replicated in Stormwind (Alliance) against the target dummies. The same problem occurs: this aura is perpetually up even though the dummies have no "purgable buffs" (and they certainly aren't casting anything). The only buff they have is definitely NOT purgable. An export of the aura in question follows: Version:st3.0.0E; gcd:bofalse; b:nu1; anim1:nu7; g:nu0.35294117647059; optunitn:bofalse; ignoremaj:botrue; stacksLower:nu0; target:botrue; icon:stInterface\Icons\INV_EssenceOfWintergrasp; size:nu1.3199999332428; torsion:nu1; r:nu0.54509803921569; y:nu-24; x:nu1; customname:st; groupany:botrue; isAlive:botrue; timerduration:nu0; unitn:st; bufftype:nu17; stacks:nu0; focus:bofalse; raid:bofalse; texture:nu10; alpha:nu0.80000001192093; aurastext:st; symetrie:nu0; owntex:bofalse; isResting:nu0; duration:nu0; mine:bofalse; multiids:st; inVehicle:bofalse; speed:nu1; anim2:nu0; stacksOperator:st>=; realaura:nu1; threshold:nu50; exact:bofalse; textaura:bofalse; sound:nu17; wowtex:bofalse; groupOrSelf:bofalse; customsound:st; combat:botrue; id:nu2; inParty:nu0; HideRequest:bofalse; Active:bofalse; aurastextfont:nu1; buffname:st*; inRaid:nu0; tooltipCheck:st; customtex:bofalse; stance:nu10; spec2:botrue; isSecondary:bofalse; thresholdinvert:bofalse; spec1:botrue; Debug:bofalse; beginSpin:bofalse; Showing:bofalse; UseOldAnimations:bofalse; begin:nu1; off:bofalse; party:bofalse; texmode:nu1; inverse:bofalse; ismounted:bofalse; targetfriend:bofalse; randomcolor:bofalse; finish:nu1

so im sorry if this is another simple thing ive missed but is there a way to set certain auras ive set up to appear or activate only when i have one of my dual talent specs active?
my problem is i have both tank and dps sets that use completely different sets of displays but the way i have alot of them set up for both they have a not active and active animation that conflict with the other specs one and every time i switch i need to manually disable and enable them again. so, just wondering if there is a way through macro's or options i missed or anything like that i could use to cut down on spec swaping time. |

Increasing the FPS slider did indeed make it the fluid animation that I enjoy. Thanks again! Update: My only issue with the New Animations is that the Secondary Animation continues to play while the End Animation does after an aura has faded. (It turns off once the End Animation completes.) Originally it stopped playing the Main Animation and Secondary Animation while the End Animation was playing.

I've ran into a new problem. I just transfered my character to another realm and changed its name in the process (don't know if it matters). I've lost all my auras on that character and so far I haven't been able to find the place where they are saved. It's been a while since the last time I played around with powa and I don't feel like doing all the auras again if I don't have to. Is there a way to recover my old auras?
Thanks in advance. edit: I found the files. Just had to go to wtf folder and search from my old servers and characters folder for a powerauras.lua and copy it to the new folder.

Re: Re: Lightning Overload
Looking at the combat log, the Lightning Overload proc shows up as a Lightning Bolt (since there is nothing else listed in there except for the rotation that I use). I did try to set it up as a buff, spell alert, and/or usable action.
