    Mapster is a very simple world map enhacement addon, which was designed to work in conjunction with all other map addons out there. The idea to create Mapster originated from pure lack of a simplistic addon that only modifies the world map, without adding a full scale feature set.

    Features

    • Map Style (Scale & Alpha)
    • Coordinates
    • Fog of War removal
    • Enhancement of the raid/party group icons

    You can access the Mapster configuration menu through the new button on the world map, as shown in the screenshot.
    All features (except the style) can be turned off individually if you do not need/want them.

    If you're looking for a replacement to Cartographer, i also recommend the following addons:

    • Disable multi-version packages
    • Remove Classic support
      Maintaining Classic support has become a huge burden for this mod, since
      it is designed to modify the Blizzard UI, and the UI diverges even
      further between Retail and the different Classic variants with every
      update.
      Hence, I rather focus my efforts on Retail, and other mods.

    The odd problem that has prevented me from being able to use the LK version is that when I press my map keys, nothing shows up. I hear the page-flipping map opening sound, but the map itself is at 0 opacity, and nothing I do alters this.

    Is this just me?

    Update on Ctrl-Right click
    My fault on previous post...

    It is not Ctrl-Right click to add a note, but a way point with Tom-Tom...

    Not sure if this is a Mapster bug or Tom-Tom bug so will post on both places.

    How to remove Mapster configuration button on the world map? Or move it to left side? This button overlaps Questhelper button

    Just like Rellikcro, I'm unable to make notes.

    Say, would it be posible for you to enable basic Instance maps while maintaining the low memory footprint? If you can do that, you'll be my hero

    No Ctrl-Right Click
    I have not been able to "Ctrl-Right Click" on the map and make a new note. Not sure if this is a known bug, not a bug with Mapster, or something else.

    ok, with the scale I can set it to 1.0 but it still doesn't take up the full screen like the normal map would, is there any way to change that or disable the resize completely like I could in cartographer?

    Anyone else having trouble accessing the WotLK version?

    I just had the page up not ten minuets ago and now it's gone. Google still has the page cashed, but when you try to download it you get thrown to the "Find" area instead.

    I just tested this as replacement for Cart, but im getting a strange error here aswell (got it with cart to).

    If i try to look at any other zone then the one im in after a few sec it swapps back to the zone im in.

    Anyone know what might be causing this?

    Does this have any type of feature like the "hotspot" from cart?

    The only thing that keeps me using cart atm is the possibility to have 2 diff sizes of map. ! small that i have open to chech instances and loot without loosing koversight, and 1 fullscreen (hotspot) to check more precise locations of things.

    Im trying to find a good replacement since i try to move away from all addons using Rock since i hate that thing more and more...
