Question Help installing Titan Panel

Hi all,
I've been trying to understand how to install and use this app, but I can't even get it to show up. I dragged Mapquest and Questhelper files right into the add-ons directory and never had a prob, they showed up and i was able to use them right away. For some reason I can't get Titanpanel to work or even show up.
I am running Vista and Have the latest version or WoW-BC.

This looks like a really cool prog. would love to use it, can anyone help?

Thanks
WZ

Titan Panel was the third ever addon I ever developed. The first thing I did with Titan was to fix a conflict between Titan and Joev's "CleanMinimap" addon. I can't remember what I did after that!

Then Adsertor suddenly took over, creating the multi-panel features. He maintained it for quite some time. I helped him with the AuxAutoHide module and a few other things, and then he left.

And now HonorGoG has taken over. He has completely re-written Titan to use the LibRock-1.0 system and has done a fair amount of other changes without destroying it's original functionality.

I remember using Titan Panel back in the days of WoW version 1.3. It was the first addon I ever used in WoW.

Well done HonorGoG! Well done for keeping this addon alive. I'll keep an eye out now that I know it's still going. If you need advice, I may be able to help you!

Again, well done and thanks!

With love,
- Dark Imakuni
I'm not HonorGoG but since I'm responsible for the majority of code changes (and overseeing development of the addon since Adsertor's sudden disappearance from the scene almost a year ago), I'd like to officially thank you for your kind words. Of course I'm making a big deal out of my role (), fact is some of us code as a hobby, we are always on a learning curve, we are listening, we are open (but careful) to change and since there is a team behind Titan now (still LF coders pst though !), we are trying to do our best. But we did not create this thing out of thin air and thus it would be a travesty to forget or not give credit to the original people that took a lot of time, to give something to the community (and trust me I should know, I spend nearly 3 months back in the day, trying to figure out the structure of the damn thing and what each function does and why and how we can optimize it, without sacrificing functionality or break compatibility unless we really had to).

Let me take some of your time a bit longer?
I have to modify Cart:Notes slightly, to get ability to add notes at my current coords without bothering with entering these coords myself.
I have narrowed the part of code that doing with adding a slash command.
So I want a working construct that will return player's coords.
Can you please help me?

The subjected code is
Code:
	if first then
		local tmp = {}
		self:AddSlashCommand(function(command, text)
			text = text:gsub("[%s,]+", " "):trim()
			if text:match("^%d%d?%.%d%d? [^%d].*$") or text:match("^%d%d?%.%d%d?$") then
				text = text:gsub("^(%d%d?)%.(%d%d?)", "%1 %2", 1)
			end
			local x, y, title = (" "):split(text, 3)
			x, y = tonumber(x), tonumber(y)
			if not x or not y then
				self:Print(L["Usage: /note <0-100> <0-100> [title]"])
				return
			end
			x, y = x / 100, y / 100
So, at the part
Code:
			end
			local x, y, title = (" "):split(text, 3)
			x, y = tonumber(x), tonumber(y)
it should be like
Code:
			local x, y, title = (" "):split(text, 3)
			x, y = tonumber(x), tonumber(y)
else
  local title = text;
   ...get current coords into x, y
end

Thanks for pointing this out. It has been corrected in the svn and will be included in the next release (targeted for this weekend).

A small heads up on what we are working on, at the moment. First of all we intend to release one more version for the live servers with one major new feature and stabilize it. Hopefully that won't be necessary but who knows. Details on what will be on it can be found here : http://code.google.com/p/titanpanel/...ersion_History

Other than that, we are exclusively working on stabilizing the beta version and include new stuff, while maintaining backwards compatibility if at all possible. We have not forgotten about feature requests, but right now I have made it our top priority to stabilize the new functionality (as much as humanly possible) concerning Data Broker plugin support as we believe it will prolong Titan's longevity and allow people more "freedom" in what they can use in the bar. Other than that, we will be fixing bugs as we discover them and generally strive for the best. Stay tuned.

Last night I d/l the latest version, deleted all the old folders, deleted the saved variables, and installed the latest Titan from here...

I still had the open GM ticket

So I went to another site and d/l the newest again... Removed the folders... Installed the latest again... And I still have the open ticket...

My wife also installed it on her laptop and she still has the open ticket...

HELP..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT:
I just read a similar issue at another site. Poster replied to say it was caused by Mobile Frames which I am using. I will try removing that addon when I get home.

Another EDIT: Just remembered... My wife doesn't use Mobile Frames and she still has the open ticket problem... Any ideas?

Last EDIT: <lol> Turns out she did have Mobile Frames on her laptop...

The latest version of Titan Panel (3.2.5.20400) fixes the empty GM ticket bug.

Thanks to all who reported it and especially to jfperusse (on Google code) and Solos2 (here on WowInterface) for the helpful suggestions that allowed HonorGOG to fix the problem quickly.
