TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

Okay, here's the deal. The issue has everything to do with the nasty way Cartographer handles their frames. In particular they hackily set frame levels everywhere instead of using parenting and other frame leveling techniques. In patch 2.4, Blizzard changed the ways the frame levels work slightly, and because of the way the frame levels are hardcoded in Cartographer, they break.
** Specifically, I am referring to the issue with being able to mouseover and click on the world map waypoints ** I've reported the issue, but I really wouldn't hold your breath looking for a fix. There's been little to no activity on fixing Cartographer and I wouldn't anticipate any coming anytime soon (although I would like to be surprised). The best solution I can give you is: * Disable Cartographer Look & Feel in the Cartographer Options * Download and install Mapster: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...6-Mapster.html Mapster provides most of the same features as Cart's look and feel without being obtuse and obtrusive. If you want to drop Cartographer entirely (and don't rely on some of the more obscure notes portions), you may want to look at GatherMate, which can be found at http://file.wowace.com. To be honest, I just don't have a good solution for you guys that will fix these issues, and the onus is on Cartographer, since its the addon that is causing issues. Seriously, disable Look and Feel and enable Mapster, or just work on switching over to Mapster on its own. As for the framelevel stuff in Cart, the following explains why we have this issue: Code:
Cartographer.lua: WorldMapPlayer:SetFrameLevel(WorldMapPlayer:GetFrameLevel()+5) Cartographer.lua: PlayerArrowFrame:SetFrameLevel(PlayerArrowFrame:GetFrameLevel()+5) Cartographer.lua: PlayerArrowEffectFrame:SetFrameLevel(PlayerArrowEffectFrame:GetFrameLevel()+5) Cartographer.lua: poi:SetFrameLevel(poi:GetFrameLevel()+3) Cartographer.lua: poi:SetFrameLevel(poi:GetFrameLevel()+3) Cartographer_GuildPositions/GuildPositions.lua: poi:SetFrameLevel(poi:GetFrameLevel() + 4) Cartographer_LookNFeel/LookNFeel.lua: self.overlayHolder:SetFrameLevel(WorldMapDetailFrame:GetFrameLevel() + 1) Cartographer_LookNFeel/LookNFeel.lua: self.nonOverlayHolder:SetFrameLevel(WorldMapFrame:GetFrameLevel()) Cartographer_Notes/Notes.lua: frame:SetFrameLevel(9) Cartographer_Notes/Notes.lua: frame:SetFrameLevel(5) Cartographer_Notes/Notes.lua: frame:SetFrameLevel(Minimap:GetFrameLevel() + 2) Cartographer_Notes/Notes.lua: frame:SetFrameLevel(WorldMapButton:GetFrameLevel() + 2)

About Cartographer conflicts...
Hi,
I've noticed that Cartographer and TomTom are not compatible anymore. Obviously I can live without Cartographer, but TomTom is a must so I decided to completely disable Cartographer... ... but is there a way these 2 addons could live together? I think the problem is in waypoints management of both the addons... I tried to disable only the waypoint component of Cartographer, but I didn't get anything... Any suggestion?

The only problem I'm having is that, when I get to a point on TourGuide that TomTom creates a waypoint, once I clear that objective the waypoint on TomTom still stays up. I have to manually remove it. It didn't do that before 2.4. Just letting you know. It's no big deal, but something to look at.
Note: I've not played since I downloaded R121, so you might of fixed it with the new update, I'll check up in a bit then edit this if it's fixed.

TomTom nil bug (v121)
Also getting this error with v121. What happens is, I'll go into a new zone, and a mysterious way point arrow will show up on my minimap. Any attempt to select it to make it go away or to see what it is results in the following error:

waypoints going nuts (v121)
Here's a screenshot of what I mean:
http://www.geocities.com/mishikal/im...708_180132.jpg You an see that (a) The waypoint arrow on the mini-map is pointing the wrong direction (b) The green waypoint on the main map is correct, but the distance is whacked This will "self-adjust" after about 3-4 minutes. |

I can confirm this as well. Greendot on minimap appears to work fine, however it is not appearing on the main map as it previously did when using Cartographer. If I turn off the mini-map and main map indicators in TomTom and use Cartographers waypoints the "red x" it uses shows up on the main map but BOTH show up on the mini-map -- appears there is no way to disable the minimap greendot (as mentioned below) even when you disable it. Ideally I would love to see the green-dot back on the main map and mini-map because i do love tom-tom! hope that helps. Kudz |

I am also missing the "you have arrived" text in the chat box too. Last thing, the floating waypoint arrow is nice, but I stopped using it. I couldn't get it to change the quest it was targeting (ie, right click not working). Also I stopped using the Cartographer arrow too, because when I add 10+ waypoints on my map and I hated always having to move the point to the end of the queue. Can you make a dropdown list or something to select which quest I want it to target? Thanks for the great addon! Mottie
