TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

Just started using this mod today and ran into this error, though I'm unsure if it's TomTom's fault or mine with another addon. Figured I'd post it just in case.

Re: Nice addon, but!!
Also, I have difficulty understanding your grasp of the written English language, you are not very clear with your thoughts. You present fragments of sentences without any details or further information which makes actually taking action based upon your reports very difficult.

I recently updated to the latest version of TomTom after not having updated since 3.0 and now, when I put a waypoint in a different zone, it won't display a waypoint arrow (even if I manually set it to the arrow). Is this intended?

Secondly, you will find that most addons in fact do not check the type attribute properly right now just because addon authors are not properly using it. 'type' was optional in the original LDB spec, but when authors updated to LDB-1.1 they didn't adjust.. they simply upgraded without even remotely paying attention. Displays should be checking type, and only displaying those types they know about. Unfortunately, this means checking "data feed", "launcher" and then testing every other data object that has a nil type. I agree authors would be able to skip my feed if it was labelled as a TomTom feed, but the fact of the matter is they should be able to trivially support the new attributes and I would rather push for a wider adoption of those. Having .icon, but no way to set the color or the TexCoords just cripples the addon author trying to right feeds without having to create new art for icons.

Re: Allow Group quests to so up for Individuals
What you are asking for is a modification to the default quest log, and I'm not interested in making those sorts of modifications in my addons, I'm happy with where they stand.

Allow Group quests to so up for Individuals
I have a small suggestion, I am not sure if these are already in the comments as there are so many of them.
Make it so that you can see locations of group quests when you are not in a group. Maybe a slider in the properties that gives the options of doing group quests for X number of people. For instance, if you think you can do group quests that only require 3 in a group, set it to 3 and then group quests of 3 or less show up as way points. If you set it for 1 only non group quests show up. Does this make sense? Not sure if the quests have the data available to tell you how many it suggests. So this could be a problem. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite addons. Keep up the great work! |

I've confirmed this to be a bug in Astrolabe and have sent the information on, hopefully it can get fixed relatively soon. Sorry for the inconvenience guys!
These waypoints WILL display once you've reloaded the UI, its just when you set them the first time via the world map.
