    LightHeaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest. This addon was inspired by qcomments and wowhead_quests, which both serve a similar purpose. Data is only loaded when you first request it, so you can be sure you're not using more memory than you need to.

    I HIGHLY suggest using this addon with TomTom, another one of my addons (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...32-TomTom.html ). This allows you to simply click any coordinate in LightHeaded to add it to your map as a waypoint.

    The following slash commands are valid:
    • /lh attach - Attaches the frame to the quest log
    • /lh detach - Detaches the frame, allows you to resize and move it
    • /lh sound - Toggles the open/close sound
    • /lh page - Toggles showing all comments on one page, or with multiple pages
    • /lh bgalpha <0.0-1.0> - Changes the alpha of the LH window background textures, so you can see the world.
    • /lh debug - Enables or disabled debug messages when loading quest databases
    • /lh config - Opens the LightHeaded configuration window
    • /lh autodetails - Toggle automatic opening of the Lightheaded window when clicking a quest in the objective tracker

    LightHeaded now includes the English descriptions and introductory text for most of the quests in the game. This is disabled by default, but can be enabled for those players that are not playing in their native locale.

    LightHeaded supports sending coordinates to TomTom, MapNotes, Cartographer2 and Cartographer3.

    IMPORTANT: Addon authors that wish to use this API and data should
    include the wowhead logo in the frame that displays this information.
    They are kind enough to let me continue parsing their database, and we
    owe them at least that much. Thank you.

    Hi sorry to add to your woes but i keep getting the same error when i load any of my chars, I have included the complete error report - hopefully this will help you to sort the problem :-

    Not that it's perfected yet either (though it works much better), you should get the newer beta version that's hidden under the "Other Files" tab (which gets rid of this and many other errors).

    BTW, personally, I'd rather the most working version for the current (pre-)expansion be shown on the main "Addon Info." tab (even if in alpha or beta) and all other versions available under "Other Files" tab. Doing it that way should reduce the number of people trying to use an older version not made for current WoW.

    It seriously doesn't like me.. :(
    Installed it but waited a few days before actually activating it til WoW settled down somewhat after the new updates.. now it says that it's all loaded and running, but I have nothing.. and typing in any of the /lh commands just brings up the base blizzard "type /help for a list of basic commands" notice. Am I missing something here?

    Thanks for the advice and i will get that asap but i am also suffering from a lack of response to slash commands.. more advice needed please.

    Could you consider uploading to Curse? I use their client for all of my addons and the last manually updated addon I had to keep an eye on for updates was CTMod sometime earlier this year and it was taken up by a prominent Curse author. This looks like a fantastic addon, but not really inclined to revert to manual updating. If not, I understand.

    Hi Cladhaire,
    Firstly thankyou for all the effort you put in to this addon but after getting the beta file and installing it I got no response from the slash commands, however I have now discovered that if i l/click twice on lightheaded in the addons list (esc - interface- list of addons) the options appear ( i can live with that) however if i try to click the 'attach' button i get this :-

    A few things:
    • Don't use the beta file, use the release
    • The "attach" and "detach" functionality has been removed, so don't click that button =)
    • You can open the config by running /lh or /lh config
    • You can show the frame using /lh show

    Dear Cladhaire,
    I am trying to use LH for the first time. Downloaded current file and installed according to instructions.
    In the Addons screen in the character selection, Lightheaded and all its data modules appear as updated addons.
    However, after logging in a char it simply will not appear in the Addons list in the Interface menu. Typing /lh or any other /lh command displays the typical message "type /help for a list of available commands" as if the addon simply was not there.
    Tried reinstalling LH and also disabling all other addons, but it's all the same.

    Any suggestions on what to do will be deeply appreciated.

    Hrm, that's really really weird. This is on 6.0.2 with the 6.0.2 version of the addon? Do you have Lua errors enabled (under Interface -> Help). There might be an error happening that could help us figure this out.
