Possessions keeps track of gold and items across all of your characters on each server. Its primary utility comes from being able to use a slash command to instantly show you where you already possess an item on the server without cluttering your tooltips all the time.

Some of you still using old versions of Possessions may see an error when looting items since patch 2.0.3 was released. Please update to 2.0.2h to fix this issue. The error is caused by items which have a negative uniqueID which I did not expect.
I had to release some of the new features (character data clearing, Lite Mode) a little sooner than planned, so if you run into any problems with 2.0.2h, please let me know. |

Krimson: yes, the original Possessions 2.0.2 has been updated by two different people. Lauchsuppe has posted his versions to ui.worldofwar.net and to curse-gaming.com while I've posted mine here.
There are currently some differences between 2.0.2g and 20000.5, here are some that I have noticed:
This list is from my perspective so there may be other differences. Both versions work and have very similar functionality. Different people just posted to different sites independently. Dridzt: Thanks! Those fixes will be in the next release.

How is this version different than the one over on curse?
http://wow.curse-gaming.com/en/files...4/possessions/ That one is being actively maintained also (just updated last night) and the version info says "Possessions v20000.5". I see from your screenshots that this one is 2.0.2g. Is this really the same mod being maintained by two different people? We (the users) just pick whichever maintainer we like better? Thanks in advance for any clarification. |

Possessions_convertDB1to2 needs pairs() added to table iterators (2.0.2g)
Great to see this addon back on its feet |

Haven't tried to chat link items out my old database yet. But item tooltips for old items seem to be messed up here.
The proper item name appears in the list line. And the tooltip shows the correct character the item(s) is on as well as the correct quantity. But the other tooltip information is wrong. For example: "Lunar Wand Of The Owl" shows "Lunar Wand" only in green and stats not belonging to the item below that. This is having logged on the character that possesses the item and opening the character frame, then checking those items from a different character (on the same account/faction). Same issue with unique blue/purple items. As to the disconnect-on-link issue...item ID numbers have all changed in WoW 2.x. Additional numbers have been added to all existing items (and new ones) to make room for future changes (gemcrafting, etc.). The disadvantage of this: any mod that uses old item IDs to store data will disconnect you when you try to chat link the item. This is because WoW doesn't recognize the item; it doesn't understand the old item IDs.

Nope. What's the item name and does the tooltip appear to be correct when you mouseover the item before trying to link it?

Zidomo, I didn't realize this at first, but the Item String Format used in links was completely changed in WoW 2.0. This is why old data will not work. There are now 8 fields in the itemString instead of only 4. This is likely to store information on gems that are in an items sockets and other things.
I've posted an updated version (2.0.2e) which properly handles this change so that items like "Raider's Boots of the Bear" now show the correct stats instead of no stats at all.
