I bet that's it! Prior to the instance I had been doing the Ring of Blood quests and helping another group so I'd turned it on for that -- just forgot about it until you mentioned it.

When you say "fix" players, do you mean to lock the targeted player into the list so when you retarget they stay there? Or do you just mean to heal them?

It's possible to autoscale outside of combat. In combat, it's not possible; a button can be bound to exactly one spell for any given click, and can't change spells or targets dynamically.

For example, I just got Flametoungue and it is active, but HealBot says it is missing and will re-cast it if I click my own HealBot frame.

Healbot doesn't auto-scale heals based on damage, because that's not possible anymore since WoW 2.x. because Blizzard made some very radical code changes to actually force people to think when they play, instead of making it easy mode! For each rank of a certain healing spell, you need to set a different key/mouse combination. It will show you the health the player has lost, but it won't adjust heals for that. So if your target has lost about 1500 health and you cast a healing spell with healbot that would normally heal for say 2500 health, then you simply overheal for 1000 health. Also when a player has lost say 2500 health and you cast a healing spell with healbot that normally heals for about 1500 health, then you simply underheal for 1000 health. So no auto-adjusting anywhere is done, and I think healbot never ever had such a feature to begin with.

By the way, I happen to know for a fact that it auto scales based on deficit. It would actually be easy to do, since it's possible to output the defecit to begin with. But yes, I have watched my heals very closely the entire time I used it, and not only would it auto-rank my heals, let's say my Flash of Light, but if the defecit EXCEEDED the amount healed by the top ranked Flash of Light, it would instead cast a Holy Light, even though I know for a FACT that I cast Flash. I have tested it through Kara and countless 5-Mans.

Now, it's possible this was changed with 2.2, or 2.3, but it wasn't any time before.

I downloaded it, and fell in love from the first click-cast. Could be quite possibly the single best piece of code ever written for Warcraft. Anyway, I'm no longer a healer, but I make it a point to mention this to every healer in my guild, because I know it helps that much. Thanks again.
