Advanced Trade Skill Window  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.8.0
by: Slarti [More]

ATSW is a complete replacement for Blizzards tradeskill window with more overview and special functions.

This replacement (works for all tradeskills, including enchanting!) provides you with:

- a better overview
The ATSW is bigger than the standard window, resulting in a much better overview over the thousands of items you can produce. Additionally, it lets you sort your recipes either by groups (as in the standard window), alphabetically or by difficulty. Alternatively, ATSW even lets you create your own groups and sort the recipes the way you like!
ATSW also has a filter function: enter something into the filter line and ATSW hides all recipes that don't contain the text you entered. But this filter function can do more: it's a powerful search function that can filter for minimum/maximum level requirements, producable item counts, item rarity (color) and reagents necessary. Check out the readme for details on using this function!

- more comfort
The ATSW has a production queue: you can queue several different items and have them all produced automatically by just clicking one button.
The ATSW is able to consider items you have to produce in order to use them as reagents in the production of other items. So: if you need item A to produce item B, you don't have to manually produce first item A, then item B. The ATSW does that for you: you just tell it to produce item B and it automatically queues the production of item A and - afterwards - item B. If you are missing some reagents to produce both items you get a message telling you exactly which reagents you need.
ATSW helps you telling your friends what reagents you need for a specific item: just click on a recipe with your shift-key pressed and the chat line opened and the reagent info will be added to the chat line.
ATSW shows you what reagents you need to process the whole production queue. It even tells you how many of each reagent you have in your bank, on alternative characters on the same server (in this case, it can even tell you on which characters) and which reagents are buyable from merchants. In case of buyable reagents ATSW can automatically buy all missing and available items from a merchant when you are speaking to him.

ATSW explicitly supports ArmorCraft, LS3D craft info and Fizzwidgets ReagentCost. Other addons that change the original tradeskill window will probably not work with ATSW.

v0.8.0:
- changed: ATSW updated for patch 4.0

Any ideas how to display the character name? I can get it to show that the mats are on a different character, but I can't get it to show which one.

I could be wrong, but I thought i remembered being able to like shift-click or something an item, and it would output the components needed to party chat, or whatever you wanted. Does this still do it, if so, how cuz I couldn't get it to do it. And if not, anyone know of an addon that will do this.

Today I noticed something happeneing on a lower lvl alt of mine. She does enchanting and tailoring, and when I would open her tailoring window everything would be fine. But with her enchanting window it would show reagents from either Tailoring or First Aid (if that window had been opened last) no matter what enchanting recipe was opened.

One thing different between her Tailoring and Enchanting windows is that she has enchanting set to custom sort and tailoring is default sorted. So she could tailor fine then go to enchant and the window would freak out and throw some enhtooltip and stubby errors besides show reagents for which ever profession had been opened previously.

If I turned custom sort off everything went back to normal. Is there something I can do to fix this so that she can go back to her custom sort of Enchanting and leave tailoring set to default sorting?

To use the Shopping list with Auctioneer do the following

1. Open astw.lua in word pad

2. do a search for "-436" (without the "")

3. change it to -466

4. Save file and close.

This will move the shopping list down below the buttons so that you can click the buttons without any trouble. -- Trying to put it someplace else would have been more work, and really up to the author to do or not. This is just a work around.

I am having the same problem to a point it locks my puter up and I have to cold boot and restart the the puter just to get out of it. What a shame since I have increased my GUI screen and this is the only window I need to see everything.

Wonder if there is a Complete uninstall some where in the WTF file that needs to be removed.

Clickable recipes in the queue?

I've got about a half dozen vital addons and this one tops my list. Great work!

I don't know if Slarti looks in here for enchancement ideas, but I thought I'd post anyway.

It's nice that when you have a filter in place and queue up that recipe it disappears from the recipe list (when that is appropriate due to the filter).

But if I have queued several things and then need to check one of the recipe's details, I have to clear my filter to find it again.

I'd like the ability to click on a recipe name in the production queue and have the recipe details show up in detail area.

Re: Freezing

Yeah, I'm having issues too since the latest patch. The mod doesn't seem to be able to update the quantities of resources or components anymore, it simply goes by what you had in your inventory when you logged in.

Has this been addressed? I'm having the same issue.

Edit- figures. It takes me two minutes to find it after I made the post. It's under options - display shopping list.

Reagent Search

There is already a reagent search incorperated. To use, in the search field type:

:reagent (reagent name)

and it will display all recipes that use that reagent.

I would LOVE an option to disable the "to make X, the following reagents are needed" thing. As an optional behavior, sure. But 90% of the time, if I shift click something, I just want the link.
