Grid has been continued as Plexus by Doadin. Use that instead; Grid has not been updated since 2018 and will not be updated in the future.

Grid is a compact and highly configurable party/raid unit frame addon.
The compact grid of unit frames lets you select a group member quickly, while keeping a good overview of the whole group. It shows as much information as possible without overloading you. It allows you to customize what information you see, and how you see it. It works in both party and raid groups, and supports pets and vehicles.

Want more features? The Grid core tries to include only features which are generally useful for all classes and roles, but makes it easy to add new features with a simple plugin API for developers. Over 75 third-party plugins are already available!

Type “/grid” for options, or right-click the minimap button, DataBroker launcher, or Grid frame tab.

Language Support
Grid is compatible with all World of Warcraft localizations. It is currently translated into English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Русский, 한국어, 简体中文, and 繁體中文.

To add or update translations for any language, enter them on the WowAce project page. New and updated translations will be automatically included in the next version of Grid!

HINT: The WowAce interface for adding translations is quite cumbersome. To make the process easier, you can use the Export function on WowAce, copy the exported data into your text editor, fill in your translations, and then paste them back into WowAce using the Import function.
Credits
Grid was originally conceived and written by Maia and Pastamancer in late 2006. Phanx has been the primary developer since late 2009. Jerry wrote the original pet support code. Mikk designed the icon. jlam added some advanced options for auras. Greltok has helped a lot with bugfixing. Finally, lots of people have contributed translations!

OK I have a question. Now is there a way to keep the frame the same size no matter if your solo or in a 40man group and adjust the unit frames to fit that particular frame. Like if your in a 40 man raid the unit frames will adjust themselves to a smaller size in order to fit the assigned frame width and height, and will make the unit frames config if your in a solo, or in a 5 man party. I just want the frame size to be the same size for each different type of party/raid I encounter, so I am not spending 5 minutes adjusting everything before a raid or a battleground.

I think there's a plugin that does that, or you could set up different profiles for each group size and switch between them (either by hand through the menu, by hand with a macro, or automatically with a plugin). It's not something the core will do, though.

Not currently, no. Given the fact that I'm not the original author, and the number of people who contribute, or have contributed, to Grid's development and maintenance, I don't think it would be appropriate for me to take donations just for myself, and coming up with a fair way to split donations between everyone involved would just be too much work. We appreciate the thought, though.

That said, if you use the Curse Client to update Grid, all of the listed project members get author reward points, which we can redeem for Amazon.com gift cards.

Is it possible to add new Bar texture's to GRID?
I would like to add Flat, i have it now only if i got Recount activated, but
i wan't to remove Recount. But then i cant use Flat as texture.

Please help

plz plz plz add group and subgroup options for the auras list (buffs/debuffs). I use Grid since BC and my buffs/debuffs list is getting bigger and bigger. It would be really helpful if I could add my own groups and subgroups into that list, for example I'd like to add a PvPdebuffs group and into that PvPdebuffs group I would add a subgroup for every Class and into those subgroups I could add the debuffs of those classes... and on top of that if I could also use the whole group or subgroup as a status that would be really awesome ^^

and I got something else I wanted to ask, I took a screenshot: http://img198.imageshack.us/f/griday.jpg/
the frame options frame looks broken (i can't scroll down there) and I'm getting 2 texttimers for the center icon, any idea what could cause this?

Diagonal groups?

I logged in after the 4.0.3 patch (which wasn't really changing anything). And grid is suddenly displaying groups on a diagonal. I had horizontal groups set originally, then I tried going back to vertical, and instead of group 1 being stacked, the first member woudl be in it's normal place, but the 2nd member would be down below under group 2.. It would look something like this (forgot to screenshot it, and am at work atm)

So it was pretty near impossible to use due to this. Any tips?

There are two things causing that:

1. You're using an alpha version of Grid. The main description states quite clearly that if you're using an alpha version from CurseForge, that you should not post here. Alphas are often untested, unstable, or just plain broken. You should only use them if you understand that and are comfortable reverting versions or fixing problems yourself.

2. You're using plugins that haven't been updated for said alpha version of Grid.
