Grid has been continued as Plexus by Doadin. Use that instead; Grid has not been updated since 2018 and will not be updated in the future.

Grid is a compact and highly configurable party/raid unit frame addon.
The compact grid of unit frames lets you select a group member quickly, while keeping a good overview of the whole group. It shows as much information as possible without overloading you. It allows you to customize what information you see, and how you see it. It works in both party and raid groups, and supports pets and vehicles.

Want more features? The Grid core tries to include only features which are generally useful for all classes and roles, but makes it easy to add new features with a simple plugin API for developers. Over 75 third-party plugins are already available!

Type “/grid” for options, or right-click the minimap button, DataBroker launcher, or Grid frame tab.

Language Support
Grid is compatible with all World of Warcraft localizations. It is currently translated into English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Русский, 한국어, 简体中文, and 繁體中文.

To add or update translations for any language, enter them on the WowAce project page. New and updated translations will be automatically included in the next version of Grid!

HINT: The WowAce interface for adding translations is quite cumbersome. To make the process easier, you can use the Export function on WowAce, copy the exported data into your text editor, fill in your translations, and then paste them back into WowAce using the Import function.
Credits
Grid was originally conceived and written by Maia and Pastamancer in late 2006. Phanx has been the primary developer since late 2009. Jerry wrote the original pet support code. Mikk designed the icon. jlam added some advanced options for auras. Greltok has helped a lot with bugfixing. Finally, lots of people have contributed translations!

Is there any chance you could add a raid layout setting for Class - 25man? I vastly prefer to sort my raid frames by class but in doing so, I can't exclude groups 6 - 8 which I really prefer. A friend had modified an old version but it doesn't function with Death Knights so right now I'm at an impasse.

getting these errors and my grid squares are completely blacked out instead of class colored, I'm guessing it has something to do with clearfont? any ideas?

Did anyone notice an issue recently where it's pretty hard to target people on grid? sometimes it takes me up to 2 or 3 clicks on the person's frame before I can actually target them...apparently its also hapenning to other people in my guild who are using the same version that I am (latest)

If the error still references line 281 of Special Events Aura, then you have an addon that is using an out-of-date version of that library.

I got this error after unlearning my talents.... once I've re-talented it goes away... and I didn't even have grid at the time.

Hey there, i'm looking for a way to sort the player's healthbar by name, even when i'm only in a party. i wonder if there's a not too complicated way to do that (like making grid think i'm in a raid when i'm not).

This is to make my attempt at clique casting while multiboxing easier.
Having my party frame in the same order over multiple wow client is what i'm aiming for.

Yeah, something that does the following:

1. Shows party inteface in arena instead of Grid
2. Follows the default ui setting of showing party interface in raid everywhere else.

Also, an option to display the "time elapsed" on effects like Curses (no need for plugins like GridStatusKalecgos in the future!)

Grid would PWN all other raid frames then

can u maybe add an option to turn auto-turn-off (or hide) grid in arena? i want it for raids and bgs but not for a 2-5 man raid party like they are in an arena group ^^

That's almost possible. You won't be able to get the spacing between the groups.

You'd need to create a custom layout where group1 includes raid groups 1-5 and group2 includes raid groups 6-8 and then set grid to horizontal. Take a look at GridLayoutLayouts.lua in your Grid folder to see how the existing layouts are created.
