SacredBuff  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.5 (r30874)
by: Eternally777 [More]

** Version 2.5 has been released! **

This version includes a handful of changes. The biggest change is that the Mount button has been removed from the core mod, and made into it's own separate mod. I made this change for two major reasons. The first reason was to avoid loading the Dewdrop and PeriodicTable-3.0 libraries into memory if the player is below level 40. And second, to significantly simplify my code. Also coming with this new Mount manager is a small menu, which can be accessed by holding in 'alt' and right-clicking on the Mount button, to select which mount you'd like the button to use.

Please let me know if your mounts are still not being properly identified. Thank you!

---
SacredBuff was originally written by Damon (jje), up to version 1.0.3. After several months, SacredBuff was abandoned in favor of the Serenity mod. In search of something smaller and more efficient than Serenity, and with Damon's permission, I rewrote SacredBuff using the Ace2 framework and released it as version 2.0.

The goal of SacredBuff, from version 2.0 and forward, is to be as simple and as 'light' as possible while retaining its usefulness and convenience.

If you are interested in translating, you can find the instructions on how to do so at http://www.wowace.com/wiki/AceLocale-2.2. Just send me a copy of the "Locales\enUS.lua" file, or your location's localization file if it already exists, with the updated translations and I'll update it.

Current Features:

  • Holding in 'alt' while right-clicking on the mount button will bring up a menu to select which mount the button uses.
  • Sacred Candle count displayed in the blue circle.
  • Left-clicking on the blue circle toggles between group-buff mode and single-buff mode.
  • Right-clicking on the blue circle activates your hearthstone.
  • Clicking on the mount button while in AQ40 should activate your Qiraji Resonating Crystal.

To-Do's:
  • Add an option to display spell cooldowns.
  • Change circle's color if you're in combat, and again if you pulled aggro.

Use "/sb" or "/sacredbuff" to display this add-on's menu in the chat window.

The latest version can always be obtained through the website linked above, although I'm almost certain I'll keep this page up-to-date.

In the words of Damon, "Thanks to everyone who post comments to improve the mod!"

I have strange problem with the SacredBuff - it's interface isn't showing for my priest at all, even though I can modify options trough chat line and see them there.
Sometimes it could be seen, but only for newly created chars. And in that case it's un-movable and without any buttons (so basically only blue circle with "0" inside).

At the current time, there is no way to change it. SacredBuff checks to see if you have any of the 41-point talents first, and if you do, it uses that one as the button. If it doesn't detect a 41-point talent, it checks for a 31-point talent and uses that as the button. If you don't have a 31-point talent either, it checks for Inner Focus. I know I need to redesign it, but I've been so busy leveling that I haven't had the time. The only reason I started modding was because I got bored raiding, and modding kept my interest in WoW. Now that I actually have things to do in the game besides just raid at night, I find that I don't have the time to mod. I'm sure that'll change once I hit seventy and things stabilize in my guild a little bit though.

One more thing:

I was divine spirited specced, but then went full holy. Anway-
I now have circle of healing, which shows up now, but my inner focus button went away
(i'm in the expansion, so I do have both).

I miss it, is there a way there a way to get em both?

Shadowform and VT

Is there anyway to move the VT button to the same spot as the spirit button? I am a shadow spec'd priest and love this mod, for the longest time I was sitting at 40 points shadow w/o getting Vampiric TOuch until I was gonn abe in group settings more often. I got used to shadowform button being in the 9 o'clock position. Then when I got VT, it replaced the shadowform button. I now have a blank spot at teh 11 position and have to put shadowform on my regular bars. Was wondering how to do it on my own or if you can fix it to display both

othewise a really good mod, have loved it since I started using it.

awesome mod!

Great job on the mod, I love it.

one suggestion though, would be to implement a way to make the background transparent.

-or-

If I'm an idiot and can't figure out how to make it transparent, please enlighten me

thanks again for a great mod!

EDIT:

LOL, I could just lock it in place! Apparently, I am an idiot

Mounts

Well looks like if you only have a single mount in your inventory, it will default to that one. So if you only have an epic mount, it will call that out.

Thanks

Unfortunately, you're not missing anything. There really isn't an option to change which mount is summoned. I'm still working on that. :-(

Mounts

Seems to work fine with 2.03 patch. I have the AV Epic Ram and it still wants to try and call my basic racial mount? Am I just blind or is there a way to configure which mount is called?

Great work btw.

Thanks

@Astrophel
I never gave much thought to a Levitate button, but I think that's something that I could probably implement. Also, I'm working on a menu to select what information is displayed in the center sphere, and I'll be sure to make 'Light Feather Count' an option for you.

@Gener21839
Glad that fixed it for you. That means I can move it out of the betas and into the releases.

I just discovered this mod today after giving up trying to find serenity.
I basically only used serenity for the buffs and spelltimers anyway because I agreed it was too clunky.
Moving on- I have a question though.
I was wondering if there were any plans to maybe add leviatate on as a buff. its the only one I really miss seeing there, and as well, if maybe in additon to showing your candle count, also showing your light feather count. I never know how many i have and hate bag rumaging.
Thanks for the great mod!

Re: nil

@Gener21839
Ok, you're running into an issue that one of the users on Curse-Gaming.com was experiencing. I wrote a beta version with hopes of fixing that error, but the other user hasn't told me if that fixed his error or not. Could you please download SacredBuff from the following link and then let me know if it fixes your error? I'd really appreciate it. :-)
