SealBar  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.4.0-0.1
by: Cilraaz [More]

SealBar is an adaptation of CRiSPyToWN's AspectBar for Paladins. It creates a bar consisting of each of the available Seals for the Paladin. Credit for the vast majority of code goes to CRiSPyToWN.

Change Log:
v2.4.0-0.1 (TOC 20400)
-- Updated TOC
v2.3.0-0.2a (TOC 20300)
-- Actually included the proper SealBar.lua that has the cleaned up internal button code
v2.3.0-0.2 (TOC 20300)
-- Fixed SealBar.xml to use Buttons instead of CheckButtons, which fixed the issue with hilighting
-- Cleaned up some internal button code
v2.3.0-0.1 (TOC 20300)
-- Updated TOC
v2.2.0-0.2 (TOC 20200)
-- Cooldowns are now fixed. There are no numbered representations (a la OmniCC), but the visual representation is back!
v2.2.0-0.1a (TOC 20200)
-- To stop the errors the mod was producing, I've temporarily removed the global cooldown timer from showing on the buttons. This is only temporary until I figure out how to stop the errors. Otherwise, this is identical to v2.2.0-0.1.
v2.2.0-0.1 (TOC 20200)
-- Updated TOC
-- There may be potential issues in this release, but I saw none upon testing (no updates from v2.0-0.4)
-- I did notice a LUA error when clicking a spell. I am working on a way to stop this, but it appears something in the code is conflicting with the FrameXML LUAs, which are programmed by Blizzard. Until then, if you have no method of capturing LUA errors, it might be a little annoying.
v2.0-0.5
-- Fix for "attempt to compare number with boolean" error
-- USERS WILL NEED TO DELETE THEIR SAVED VARIABLES FILE WITH THIS RELEASE!!
-- This file can be found at <WoW Installation folder>\WTF\Account\<AccountName>\SavedVariables\SealBar.lua
v2.0-0.4 (TOC 20003)
-- Added Seal of Vengeance, Seal of Blood, and Judgement
v2.0-0.3a (TOC 20003)
-- Whoops! Uninitialized variables are fun! There shouldn't be any errors referring to GameToolTip any longer.
v2.0-0.3 (TOC 20003)
-- Added a handle to the SealBar to prevent accidental casting of Seals.
-- This handle will not require a control-right-click any longer. It will take a simple left-click to move the bar using the handle
v2.0-0.2 (TOC 20000)
-- Fix to stop errors relating to protected functions
v2.0-0.1 (TOC 20000)
-- Updated to work with WoW 2.0

v0.1.0 (TOC 11200)
-- Initial Release

To do:
-- Add Localization

help has arrived!

As anyone who tried it knows, this AddOn is broken with WoW 2.1.

Good news: a temporary fix for an identical problem with ShamanBuffBars
http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=2967
was posted by charlierocks. I tried the same changes on SealBar and BlessingBar
http://www.wowinterface.com/download...essingBar.html
and they work perfectly, at least so far for me.

Look for the charlierocks post at the ui.worldofwar.net URL above, if interested in trying the changes.

Update soon?

Cilraaz, Please tell me you are updating both seal and blessing...that would rock...any new info would be great.

I deleted my SavedVariables but I am still getting the first 6 icons of my main action bar, not the seals/blessings (the same thing happens with both bars).

Hope to see updates soon! Great mods...nothing else like em!

While the "handle" makes moving the bar very easy, it also leaves the bar moveable by accident! Recently I've noticed that sometimes after a lengthy and/or intense fight my SealBar has moved, obviously from my clicking on the bar to cast whichever seal I wanted. While it's easy enough to move the bar back to where I want it, this becomes a little annoying after a while, so maybe it would be possible to add an option to lock the Bar where the user has positioned it?

Useful Feature

I with this mod had a feature where I could right click on a seal and set it to a binding. For example, I would have a binding for "seal 1" and another for "seal 2". I could right click a seal and set it to the binding. Of course, the same seal could be for both bindings. I think this would be better in a "TrinketMenu" style, but would also work for this interface.

I, too, am getting an error with the newest update (2.0.0.4). By the way, the TOC for 2.0.0.4 says "2.0.0.3". Here is the Bugsack dump of the error:
[2007/01/31 15:05:20-33-x1]: SealBar\SealBar.lua:126: attempt to compare number with boolean
SealBar\SealBar.lua:159: in function `SealBar_OnEvent'
<string>:"SealBar:OnEvent":2: in function <[string "SealBar:OnEvent"]:1>

After installing the latest version (2.0-0.4) when I logged on with my Paladin I noticed that the SealBar seemed to have shrunk itself slightly. Figured it might be due to the new version so I opened up the config and when I moved the scale slider the bar itself seemed to revert to the size I had previously. I experimented a little and noticed that if I moved the scale slider either up or down and then placed it back where it was the bar itself did indeed "re-size" to my preferred scale. However, after logging off and logging back in later, the SealBar had once again "shrunk" down! Opening up the config again and moving the scale slider slightly resulted in the bar "re-sizing" back to the scale I preferred.

I also use BlessingBar, which I've set to the same scale as SealBar, but there's no problem with the latest version of BlessingBar. Out of curiousity I took a look at both BlessingBar.lua and SealBar.lua in my SavedVariables folder. Both show that I've set the scale exactly the same:
["scale"] = 1.299999952316284,
But when I log my Palading in, my SealBar is smaller than my BlessingBar and I have to open the SealBar config to correct the scale. Not really sure what's going on, but it's a little annoying to see this weird behaviour.

Also, as the previous 2 comments say, I'm getting that error as well.
I submitted an updated version (2.0-0.5). This should resolve the "attempt to compare..." error. The one caveat is that you will need to delete your saved variables file for SealBar. The error was based on something I tried to add to avoid needing users to delete their saved variables file (basically, if the file saved variables file isn't deleted, the settings for the new seals in BC, and now judgement as well, will not be saved).

Keep on posting any problems or suggestions!

["type"] = "error",
["time"] = "2007/02/01 13:01:33",
Mayber this error is related to the scale issue I'm getting?

Re: Keybinding?

First off nice mod. Maybe i am just dumb and overlooked it, but are there keybindings for this or the blessings bar? So far this mod has potential, but is useless as of now for me without bindings. Maybe this can be added to both blessings and seal bar?
At this point, there are no keybinding options for either mod. This may be added at a later date.

Also think having Judgment listed as like the first button or a offset button would be nice.
I added Judgement as the first button. Good suggestion. I also added Seal of Vengeance and Seal of Blood. I can't confirm these as working, since I don't have a Paladin that high at my disposal, but they should.
