Big Wigs is a boss encounter add-on. It consists of many individual encounter scripts, or boss modules; mini add-ons that are designed to trigger alert messages, timer bars, sounds, and so forth, for one specific raid encounter. These encounter scripts are activated when you target or mouse over a raid boss, or if any other Big Wigs user in your raid does. In most cases only one module will be running at any given time.

If you're looking for boss encounter scripts for 5-man dungeons, these are not in Big Wigs, but live in their own add-on; Little Wigs.

Question,

I'm looking for an alternative to DBM just for the Memory usage, even though I don't really need something less.

Saw this app and it looks easy to use and set up, my question is;

Do I have to reset the addon every time I log in to get it to work?

I have yet to even see it work aside from the test feature. Mind you I've only tried it in one of the new instances .. but just curious cause I didn't reset Big Wigs when i logged in

Bigwigs and cooldown bars

I recently upraged to windows 7 and for some reason my wow addons got broken.

I installed the addons back and now eveything seems to be fine expect the problem with bigwigs not showing my spell bars.

I'm using Parrot as my combat text addon. I've tryed everything from bigwig's customize tab but nothing seems to get them back.

i had the same problem. just make sure BigWigs is disabled or alternatively u can just turn off the tips and put em back on when ur raiding or whatever.

Could Pain Suppression be added to the Common Auras? It would be very handy to see if someone else has cast PS or not in a screen text way.

Test Mode?

Nevermind! I found the button to create test bars.

I seem to remember a time when one could turn on a "Testing Mode" of big wigs.
That is, there would be some fake bars and countdowns that would occur.
It really helped me in setting it up how I liked it.

Now that I've redone my UI, I need to set it up again. I know how to move the anchors and turn on the proximity but...
Is there a way to activate the old test mode anymore?

the last lua error appeared immediately after engaging 25man Iron Council(normal difficulty), not sure when the first ones appeared, but i got the " too many addons have crashed! disable all / ignore?" popup appeared during razorscale..

Any potential solutions around ? i believe i'm running the latest version downloaded from wowinterface ^.^

I got an error with the BigWigs Versions since 5750

I'm still mystified as to why strengthened iron roots and Eonar's gift (the crucial portions of Freya) are not part of the default Blizzard boss emotes. That said, one suggestion would be to add an "Eonar's gift" spawn warning for Freya via BigWigs.

I was trying to add some warnings for Vezax, but I looked into the file and couldn't find what fires a Flash and shake.

What i wanted to add is a flash when he begins to cast his Surge, and maybe a small ding 5 seconds before the cast.

Could you help me do that ?
