FuBar - GroupFu  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: r135
by: Rabbit [More]

GroupFu is a FuBar plugin that adds group management functions, loot method detection, and roll management.

Clicking on the panel icon will cause it to roll, shift-clicking will clear the last roll, and ctrl-clicking will cause it output the winner to chosen output channel.

It will normally show the group looting type unless there is a roll in progress.

After a roll is performed, it can announce the winner to any channel, or just locally to you. People can write 'pass' to pass on the roll.

The right-click menu also includes the standard leader choices like setting the loot method, threshold, leaving your group and resetting your instances.

I have been using Zekiel's fixed version as is with only the GroupFu and Compost2 library folders extracted from your addons.zip file. I have the latest versions of FuBar-2 and some plugins with embedded libraries, so they are probably supplying the remaining needed libraries. So far it works fantastic, and LootHog likes it even.

I wish I knew the first thing about LUA programming so I could help bring great add-ons like this into compatibility with 2.0.

I thank anyone who can do so!

Re: Rabbit

I don't know enough programming to mess with L[ ] removal lol (but I can write a simple Linux Shell script... wtf)
As for spellbinding, there's always Clique :P

The big problem is I don't see any Group Menu Functionality in there, and I'm not -near- savvy enough to add that in from the old one with updated code :'-( Anyone feel like working on this and putting out a new one? This mod is what allows me to bind my right click to a spell, handy for healers X-D

I branched GroupFu to clean up the code dramatically here:

http://svn.wowace.com/wowace/branche...roupFu/Rabbit/

I'm not done cleaning up yet, but it's alot leaner and cleaner already, and it works.

Re: Does this still wrongly announce a tie

The 1.4.8 stable version (used with FuBar 1.2) was great...except for one very large problem. When auto-reporting after a specific time (60 seconds, 30 seconds, etc.), it would announce a winner even if there was a tie among the two (or more) highest rolls. It also announced a winner during tied high rolls when no time was set and I manually CTRL-clicked to output.

Which means I had to move to a better, different roll mod that would recognize ties.

Do the 2.x beta versions for FuBar 2.x (now at 2.0.9) do something different in the event of a high roll tie (i.e. announce that instead of declaring a winner)? Or does it still mistakenly announce a winner when two (or more) highest rolls are tied?
It like Titan Rolls takes the first high roller as the winner. I'm working on changing that but have to rewrite the guts of the roll handiling to fix it. Its actually what I'm working on at the moment but this is going to take a bit of time to redevelop as I'm also adding in a roll history with it.

Besides I still want to play WoW so I'm only working on it during the weekends
