SSPVP3 is mostly improvements and recodes to sections of code, along with adding support for 3.0.x features.

Herald yells inside Alterac Valley are changed to be more consistant and will be colored by the faction that triggered it, you can also see how many resources are gained via the Mines inside the overlay along with chat alerts when the Captains are slain by a faction. Timers for how long until graveyards, bunkers and towers are included for Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley.

Includes match information like time left, nodes to win, final scores for Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm. Along with flag carriers inside Warsong Gulch and Eye of the Storm, including coloring by flag carrier class and carriers health (when available). Other features are things like modifying the players arena panel to show both weekly and seasonal stats instead of having to toggle them as well as displaying team leader even if they're offline, or showing break down by server/class on the battlefield scoreboard and more, see configuration for a better list on all the features SSPVP3 has.

See, /sspvp ui for configuration, /arena for different data functions like games required to hit 30%, points -> rating or rating -> points conversions.

nm i figured out what the problem was; my comp was saving the modules and libs folders as files; being that they were saved as files first the folders wouldnt be exrtracted because of them having the same name. in between the blab blah blah same name window that pops up i opened my sspvp folder(in my wow directory) and deleted the libs and modules files that were created then clicked try again in the window that stated the name confliction, i also had to do this for all the files/folders inside the libs and modules folders. im running a 32bit vista home premium so that may have been partially (if not completely) the cause of the issue.

im having a major problem with sspvp2; it auto ques but there is no overlay, no capture bar nothing; the config ui will not appear either

Positioning of the capture bar isn't working for me. =(

I basically just want it slightly beneath the score at the top.

the bug where it doesnt save overlay, pvp info, etc is getting really annoying. If you place the overlay\pvp info anywhere, it moves to some random spot and never saves the position. Can someone find the reason to this problem?!

Thortook: I don't see much use in that beyond a fun little stat, but reinforcements don't specifically mean you win anyway so it'd require adding in things like mine or base calculations which I'd rather not do.

Go into SSPVP.lua, find

SendChatMessage("[SS] " .. msg, self.db.profile.general.channel)

Replace with

SendChatMessage(msg, self.db.profile.general.channel)

Greetings,

First, thank you for your work with SSPVP/Arena. A long while ago, you used to be able to display the current "team" size in the overlay. If, say you were in AV, and the Horde had 38 People and the Alliance had 40 it could be shown in the overlay. If both teams were full strength it would go away until one or both dropped below max.

Now one has to open the PvP screen to get that info.

Is there some way to turn this back on that I am missing?


OH, as of 2.4.2 shift-clicking the timers is giving me an error about an invalid Char. Not sure if it is just my setup or not. I haven't disabled other mods to test it yet.

I just thought of something that'd be cool for Alterac Valley. 'Chance of winning'.

Take the current reinforcements of both teams to find the 'current total'. Then take the current of Alliance and divide by current total, and that's the chance of winning (same for horde). Having this percentage displayed next to the reinforcements score at the top of the screen would be neat. ^_^

It can handle it, but that's where the 2-second delay or such comes in, because it checks the database, then returns it without turning it into a link. I was able to modify the [ss] part so there's only one [] in the message, and it's now like a quarter-second delay. Removing both would be awesome.

Even if it's just something I can change myself and you don't make it a feature (like $efc/$ffc). I'm trying to fix it myself, but I'm not quite able to figure it out because of the way you're doing localization... I think I've almost got it, though. I'm still a newbie to LUA. =(

Since you're here, I've always wanted to move the capture bar, but when I click, drag, and let go, the bar moves itself halfway across the screen. I'll check to see if that's an addon conflict too, now that I think about it...

Edit: I'm looking back and I see myself mentioning this bug several times. Ack. Did you reply somewhere and I missed it? I'm sorry. =(

Thortok: Ultimately thats an issue of whoever did that mod, if it can't handle anything with [] between it then they should make it so it's not so strict.

I have a mod that detects [] characters and attempts to turn them into a link. Is there some way I can change SS messages to use anything except [] characters? Every time I try, I get an error message.

Re: Trouble with team rating reports

How would I go about editing the mod to give me a delay before attempting to release after dead? I have looked at the code and I am just not a lua expert. Reply in a PM if you wish.
