    Gatherer is an addon for herbalists, miners and treasure hunters in World of Warcraft. It's main purpose is to track the closest plants, deposits and treasure locations on your minimap.

    The addon does not track like a tracking ability does, rather it "remembers" where you have found various items in the past. It does this whenever you gather (perform herbalism, mining or opening) on an item, and records the specific map location in its history. From then on, whenever the item comes into range of being one of the closest 1-25 (configurable) items to your present location, it will pop up on you minimap.

    When you view your World Map, you will also see the item locations marked on the particular map you are viewing there.

    INSTALLATION:
    --------------
    Extract the data to your "World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns" directory so that the "Gatherer" directory is a subdirectory of the "AddOns" directory.


    USAGE:
    --------------
    Just use the game as normal.
    When you gather things, they will appear on your minimap and your main map.
    If you want to configure the addon, click the Gatherer configuration icon floating around your minimap frame or type /gather options.

    Slash Commands
    /gather minimap (on|off|toggle) - controls the minimap tracking functionality
    /gather mainmap (on|off|toggle) - controls the world map tracking functionality
    /gather dist <n> - sets the minimap tracking distance to this number of units. (in game yards)
    /gather num <n> - sets the maximum number of items to display (default=20, up to 50)
    /gather herbs (on|off|toggle) - select whether to show herb data on the minimap")
    /gather ore (on|off|toggle) - select whether to show mining data on the minimap")
    /gather treasure (on|off|toggle) - select whether to show treasure data on the minimap")
    /gather options - show the configuration dialog

    Try actually deleteng the !Swatter, Gatherer, GatherHUD, and SlideBar folders and then updating.

    Gatherers,

    Gatherer 3.1.10 has been released and is up here at WoWInterface.

    Most importantly, the issues with the Northrend mining nodes should be all cleared up. The old nodes should show and new nodes should record, accordingly.

    Note, we still can use help with the localization of the renamed nodes for locales *other than* enUS, enGB, zhTW, frFR, and deDE, see http://forums.norganna.org/discussion/9605/ for more information on how to help.

    If you replace GatherNodes.lua with the attached GatherNodes.lua, you should be good to go. **English locale only.

    As noted below:

    We are aware of the changes to the mining nodes in Northrend, and are affected by the results in-game, the same as everyone.
    For the four that have changed, we are working to both keep the existing data and allow new nodes to be recorded, of course.
    Keep an eye out for an updated version (hopefully with a few other enhancements, too) as soon as our volunteers are able to code the changes and test them. "

    I seen the post, but I can't seem to open .rar files. Is there another format to download it in? Or could someone explain more detail of what needs changed to what?

    We do not include them, since, unlike the other nodes that can be found basically anywhere on the map, they are always along the shore.

    If you need to see the pools, recommend using something like Notes-U-Need to mark them.

    Hi,

    Don't know if this has been asked before, but could Fish Nodes please be added?

    I used to use GatherMate and it kept track of Fish Nodes, but since I switched to Gatherer, I can't find all my fishing places..

    The Gatherer SlideBar icon has the "full" help tooltip of what either that or the minimap button will do.

    Left-clicking activates/deactivates the HUD and Minimap node display
    Right-clicking accesses the settings

    Same as mentioned before, you most likely deleted the SlideBar folder, which is a dependency of Gatherer.

    The next version won't have the same dependency and, besides, the settings, such as moving or disabling the SlideBar will save between sessions.

    Most likely you deleted the SlideBar folder, which is a dependency of Gatherer.

    The next version won't have the same dependency and, besides, the settings, such as moving or disabling the SlideBar will save between sessions.

    everytime i log in or when i click the minimap icon ill get this:

    seems to not work well with MBB (MiniMap Button Bag) also witch i really do not want to change(keeps my minimap clean lol)

    So I feel kind of silly wondering but what does left clicking on the Gatherer minimap icon do? I notice it changes colors but it doesn't say anything about what it's doing..
