Zera UI  Updated less than 3 days ago!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v1.7l
by: MetalMusicMan [More]

My Twitter: MetalMusicMan_

This is the UI that I use on my Holy/Prot/Ret Paladin, Vengeance/Havoc Demon Hunter, Brewmaster/Mistweaver/Wind Walker Monk, Resto Shaman, Guardian/Resto Druid, Prot/Arms/Fury Warrior, Destro Lock, Preservation Evoker, Frost Mage, Assassin Rogue, and a few other alts. This is NOT an ElvUI-based setup, it is addons and WeakAuras that I have customized myself.

Do not change the "UI Scale" setting or things will be bad.

For non English clients: my custom nameplate colors are not working, due to being flagged by Unit Name rather than Unit ID. I am sorry about that, I may update them... someday... when I have time.

As of TWW 11.0.2, I am no longer using Shadowed Unit Frames for Player, Target, Target of Target, or Focus Frames. I am using my own Zera Unit Frames Addon with accompanying Zera Unit Frames WeakAura. Someday, I may eventually get rid of SUF entirely, but for now I am still using it for Party, Raid, and Boss frames. Please note, I do not support the ability to move/position the Zera Unit Frames at this time. I do want to make them draggable someday, but for now, they are just positioned as I want them. If you want, you could disable ZeraUnitFrames entirely and re-enable the Player/Target/ToT/Focus frames in Shadowed Unit Frames and use those, as they support dragging and the configuration is still set.

Installation Instructions:

  • In your "...\World of Warcraft\_retail_" directory, rename the folders "WTF" and "Interface" to be "old_WTF" and "old_Interface" so you have a copy of your old files in case you want to switch back

  • Place the Zera UI zip file's folders ("WTF", "Interface", "Fonts", and "Sounds") into your World of Warcraft "_retail_" directory.

  • Rename these folders to match your account name, server name, and character name:
    Code:
    ...WTF\Account\YOURACCOUNTNAME\YOURSERVERNAME\YOURCHARACTERNAME
  • Login to your character, type "/bt" and click "Profiles". Select the "Zera UI" profile.

  • Type "/oc" and click "Profiles". Select the "Zera UI" profile.

  • Open "Edit Mode" from the game menu and select the "Zera UI" profile.
    • Or, use this Import String:
      Code:

Change Log:

TWW 1.7l
- Added InCombatLockdown() conditional for ZeraUnitFrames to avoid some errors
- Added a few more kick and stop nameplates
- Added a new "Prio Mobs" nameplate group
- Fixed a few more OmniCD issues, added Ret Wake of Ashes to tracker (since they don't have real Wings in most specs now)

TWW 1.7k
- Disabled buggy new DBM nameplate icon zoom-in proc glow, left the icon/pixel glow tho
- Added a few new stop plates

TWW 1.7jj
- Zera Unit Frames WA: added a conditional script to show Raid Group Number before player name on the Player Frame (i.e. it shows "G2" if in "Group 2" of a Raid Group).
- Added Sentry Stagshell to Stop-Only Mob nameplates in TPTP
- Fixed several issues with Omni CD showing dungeon CD icons over Raid Frames
- Updated WAs and Addons

TWW 1.7i
- Added Drift addon to resize the absurdly large TWW spellbook (ctrl+left click to drag, ctrl+right click to scale)
- WA updates

TWW 1.7g
- Adjusted nameplate vertical spacing to 0.66 (was 0.5 -- man, there are so many mobs in TWW packs, lol)
- Added Bloodworkers from Ara-Kara to minor nameplate group in TPTP

TWW 1.7f
- Forgot my Lust/Brez tracker WA, added it back (whoops!)

TWW 1.7e
- Adjusted ZeraScaleFrames to keep Extra Action Buttons and Zone Action Buttons closer together (why on earth does the default Blizzard UI space them out so much?!)
- Also made ZeraScaleFrames make the Extra/Zone Action Buttons deadspace CLICK THROUGH (again, why default Blizzard UI?!)
- Updated WeakAuras and Addons
- Added Handinotes back with Handinotes Dornigal plugin to show certain things on the city map (lost in the new town :D)

TWW 1.7d
- Further addon updates for TWW launch
- Removed several WAs for affixes that no longer exist

TWW 1.7c
- Updated addons for 11.0.2

TWW 1.7b
- Added Events for "CLIENT_SCENE_OPENED" and "CLIENT_SCENE_CLOSED" to Zera Unit Frames because those events for some reason cause the default UI's Target Frame to reappear... spaghetti-ass game lol

TWW 1.7a
- Adjusted Zera Unit Frames' Player Frame to move down slightly for classes/specs with a Resource Bar on top (yay, LUA conditional statements!)

TWW 1.7
- Swapped from away from SUF to my custom Zera Unit Frames Addon & WeakAura for: Player, Target, Focus, and Target-of-Target frames. SUF is buggy AF and my frames are like 99% the same/better, so sure, why not?! I still am not cool enough to make good Raid frames (close on Party and Boss tho, actually!), so for now I am using SUF for: Party, Raid, and Boss frames.
- The new UFs are so similar, you might not even notice. But there are some slight differences (check the screenshots of my Warrior, videos to come... sometime...).
- Adjusted several Zera UI General WAs to match ZUF more
- Adjusted Bartender and Default Edit Mode to match ZUF more

TWW 1.6n
- Adjusted non-bar version of SUF combo point tracker and made that the default instead of the bar version. This is due to an SUF bug, so while I would rather use the bar version, this is a workaround for now until SUF fixes it.

TWW 1.6m
- updated Threatplate nameplates for kicks/stops/frontals based on quazii's beta spreadsheet (quazii the goat)

TWW 1.6l
- fixed script error from ZeraHideFrames by changing the default frame strata of titan panel rather than using a script to force it (because, apparently, that setting exists in titan panel and i just never noticed it 🙃)
- updated addons (still waiting for an update to Scrap and Angry Keystones tho)

TWW 1.6k
- Added TipTac back as it was updated

TWW 1.6j
- Restored SUF as it has been updated
- Therefore restored previous Bartender and Edit Mode profiles ("Zera" for both)
- Updated other addons
- Still need to be deleted/disabled for now: Angry Keystones, Handynotes, Scrap, TipTac, RIO

TWW 1.6i
- Additionally removed Tip Tac (again, for now)
- Updated Details, Titan Panel, and a few other addons
- Adjusted stock bossframe layout and stock tooltip layout

TWW 1.6h
- Early TWW Pre-Patch version
-- Removed SUF and using a custom addon/WA for Player/Target/Focus/ToT frames
-- Using default party/raid frames
-- Temporarily Deleted(can disable if you don't want to delete): Shadowed UnitFrames, TipTac, Scrap, Handy Notes, Angry Keystones
-- Make sure you choose /bt "Zera (New Working)" profile
-- Make sure you choose Edit Mode "Zera UF" profile

- Further 9.2 Addon Updates

4.7
- Further 9.2 Addon Updates
- Repositioned Extra Action Bar/Buttons and Flight Path Cancel button
- Repositioned that weird Cosmic Energy Bar in Zereth Mortis
- Added Tazavesh Console weakaura.

4.6
- Updated addons for 9.2
- Disabled sounds in the SL Dungeon WA (not sure when they got turned on, whoops)
- Switched to frozn's community version of TipTac as the main addon is no longer maintained. Thanks to frozn for doing great work!!! Please note that this version does not update via apps such as WoWUp, so make sure to disable updates for TipTac if you use such an app.

4.5
- Removed Who Framed Watcher Wabbit as it has not been used in some time due to a lack of updates
- Repositioned Pet unit frame to be a thin bar above Player unit frame. Also hid pet bar (I prefer to just drag pet abilities onto my main bar).
- Adjusted BM Hunter WeakAuras

4.4
- Addon and compatibility updates, nothing exciting :)

4.3
- Reduced vertical spacing of stacked nameplates from 110% to 80%
- Reduced range of visible nameplates from 60 to 40
- Added resource bar to Target-of-Target and Focus unit frames
- Various minor WeakAura updates that I am too lazy to detail :P

4.2
- Adjusted "honkie honkie" noise for knockback warning to play sooner for all knockbacks
- Updated addons
- Switched back to Gladius again :D

4.1
- Updated all addons for patch 9.1
- Removed Who Framed Watcher Wabbit as it's buggy with 9.1 (rescaled Quest Objective Tracker window with MoveAnything)
- Updated WeakAuras for Tormented affix (fixed a bug with stun indicator and added a counter for Melt Soul stacks when greater than 1)
- Manually repositioned Tormented Anima Power button and anchored it to M+ Enemy Forces percentage counter

4.0m
- Replaced Gladius with Gladius EX (Gladius no longer supported?)
- Added two invisible action bars to the left/right of player frame (on the edges of the existing ones). Just in case you need extra extra extra buttons.
- Various WeakAura and addon updates that I am too lazy to note.
- Swapped Skada for Details (I hate Details' UX, it's awful... but it tracks things like explosives and gives better breakdowns, so I guess I'll use it. Barf)

4.0l
- Updated Explosive Orb nameplate weak aura appearance
- Updated Zera UI statusbar texture again

4.0k
- Created a custom statusbar texture (previously had used Glamour 4 from Shared Media). New texture is basically the same as Glamour 4 but without the weird "swooshie" stuff on it. Glamour 4 still available.

4.0j
- Resized and tweaked Glass settings a bit
- Minor Weak Aura updates
- Added Venture Plan

4.0i
- Added Glass because it makes chat pretty (have been meaning to do this for a while, it was finally updated with some features that I wanted, yay!)
- Weak Aura updates for dungeon/raid mechanics
- General addon updates

4.0h
- Updated Who Framed Watcher Wabbit to the latest version
- Changed position and height of WW Monk Chi bar to match Holy Power, Combo Points, etc.
- Repositioned/resized Pet Frame and Pet Action Bar a bit
- Updated other addons

4.0g
- Addon updates and minor weak aura tweaks/cleanup before shadowlands

4.0f
- Added additional party weak auras for Resto Shaman and Resto Druid
- White-listed personal Resto Druid HoTs for Raid Buffs on Raid frames

4.0e
- Addon updates for 9.0.2
- Added Brewmaster Monk Purified Chi Weak Aura to track stacks/duration for Celestial Brew shield increase

4.0f
- Removed addon "LibGroupInspecT" as it was an accidental leftover from testing and having it installed interfered with my interrupt weak aura and prevented it from working properly.

4.0e
- Added Guardian Druid Weak Auras
- Priest Atonement Party Weak Auras updated
- Addon Updates (TipTac now using the official updated version)

4.0d
- Re-repositioned party class role/leader/pvp flag/combat indicators again (still not sure what I prefer lol)
- New icon for DPS role in Party (Miir Gui edit)

4.0c
- Updated to new community version of TipTac (manual, don't update it with addon manager)
- Completely overhauled my Zera Interrupt Tracker WeakAura (click here for full information on Wago.io)

4.0b
- Added MoveAnything back as it has been updated
- Repositioned party indicator icons and added Miir Gui textures for them

4.0a

- Manually updated Who Framed Watcher Wabbit with community code changes
- Updated Chatter
- Updated a few Weak Auras
- Updated Dominos (Loot Frame and Alert Frame work normally again)

4.0
- Chatter, SexyMap, Dominos, and ThreatPlates updated to new developer releases that work with 9.0.0 Prepatch
- Skada and Tiptac are currently using community-made manual fixes so do not re-install them or update them from this .zip's files or they will revert to the currently non-working official release
- MoveAnything disabled as it is currently breaking everything. Replaced with "MoveTalkingHead" addon. Shift-Left-Click the Talking Head frame to move it manually. Shift-Scroll-Wheel to shrink/grow it.

3.9n
- Added Shadowed Unit Frames Inline Heal Absorb (makes shields/absorbs go over Health bar, more like default UI for absorb shields)

3.9k
- Same as 3.9j except LOL I accidentally left in two unit frame addons, deleted the unused one (accidentally left it from testing)

3.9j
- Redid anchoring of Party/Target frames to player frame (hopefully this helps with things being positioned correctly in other resolutions besides just 1920x1080?)
- Created some new Weak Auras for Brewmaster Monk and Resto Shaman
- Updated addons

Ah, yes, I do not have the actual unit frames set to be movable at this time. I realize now that I note that on the addon listing but not on my main UI package listing, so I will ad that note to my main UI package listing as well.

You can move them with script commands (SetPoint), though for it to save between sessions you'd want to save the changes in the ZeraUnitFrames addon LUA file. If you don't want to change the layout of the cluster, you can just move "ZUF_PlayerFrame" via SetPoint and the Target/ToT/Focus are all anchored to that (as are the WAs for displaying things). You would also need to update the new positioning in the conditionals that re-position the frames downward based on class resource bars (the code is pretty thoroughly notated in the LUA). If you want to change the layout of the cluster, you will also need to de-anchor "ZUF_TargetFrame" from the Player frame.

Alternatively, you could disable ZeraUnitFrames entirely and re-enable the Player/Target/ToT/Focus frames in Shadowed Unit Frames and use those, as they support dragging and the configuration is still set. It just means you'll have to deal with some of the oddities of SUF's player frame resource code flagging a few script errors.

I do plan to make them moveable/draggable someday. I have the dragging figured out, but not the saving (still working on how to save those variables). I do not have an ETA yet for that, but it is on my to-do list for down the line.

You mean the Zera Unit Frames addon/WA? It definitely supports right-clicking for Player and Target. Here's a video of how it should look.

There was a very old version of it that didn't support that, but I don't think I ever uploaded it publicly... but maybe I did and I forgot and you're on an old version? Regardless, the one in the current package definitely supports it, so I'm not sure why that wouldn't be working. I would try deleting the 'ZeraUnitFrames' addon from your Addons folder, then redownloading Zera Unit Frames directly, then also deleting the Zera Unit Frames WeakAura and reinstalling it as well.

For Party/Raid frames, you should have Shadowed Unit Frames still, which are also right-clickable.

I did this and it works for a minute and then by the time I'm done re positioning the frames to my liking it no longer works. IT seems that the invisible frames are not lined up with the WA display. Any way to show me how to move the invisable ones to line up?

Same, unfortunately it's on SUF's end. You can do "/console scriptErrors 0" in chat to hide it, it doesn't seem to cause issues other than the initial flag.

There are a few SUF bugs still remaining that they have not fixed, I have reported a few but I am not sure when they will fix.

It sounds like you're missing the Kick/Stop Custom Nameplate groups, or they're disabled somehow. Do you see the "Important Kicks" and "Stops" groups in your Custom Nameplates in TPTP?

yes I'm not all that and I know why. You put the names in English and not the IDs so any interface other than English doesn't work
Oh noooooo, I'm sorry about that

I will update them... someday.

If you have my full UI, they should look exactly like mine with no adjustments needed right out of the box.

Are you just missing a few mob color categories? I do update the categories every now and then. If so, you can download the latest version of my UI and grab the Threat Plates files from it. They're in:

Code:
..WTF\Account\YOURACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables
And you're looking for "TidyPlates_ThreatPlates.lua" and "TidyPlates_ThreatPlates.lua.bak"

It's just a setting in DBM itself:

-- "Core Options" tab
-- "Global Disables & Filters" on the left
-- "Disable DBM Features"
-- Un-check: "Do not show text or play sound for ANY general (non-emphasized) announcements
-- Un-check: "Do not play special announce sounds"

I find DBM audio and special announce text to be too spammy, so I disable them. If you prefer that on, those two options should enable it again. There are also other settings in there you can enable/disable to your preference.
