Plater Nameplates  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v8.2.5.278
by: Tercioo [More]

Plater is a handsome and light addon for nameplates!

Plater and Details! are made by the same author!

Features:
- New nameplates for friendly characters.
- Unlock configs to modify the new personal health bar/power bar in the middle of the screen.
- Allows to change the size of the resource indicators such as the runes for Death Knights.
- Indicates when a npc is an objetive of a quest.
- Highlight detector npcs inside Suramar city.
- Color change by aggro and by player role (tank or dps).
- Dynamic sizing allowing to have two sets of size, one for combat and other out of combat.
- Allows full modification of textures.
- Allows to modify the clickable area of the plate.
- Unlock separate config for each type of unit: Friendly Player, Enemy Player, Friendly Npc, Enemy Npc.
- Show your buffs and debuffs, allowing to black list some of them.

Important: by default the health bar of enemy nameplates has a height 2 pixel when out of combat, but do not be fooled by that, each nameplate has by default 45 pixels of clickable area (vertical) and both the health bar and the clickable area can be modified.

I think this got fixed on r6, at least a similar thing was happening with my mage.

This happens if the spec you are currently playing cannot interrupt afaik.

Looking forward to this as well as "buffs" from other players. And having them sizable as well based on importance.

I got it, the issue is at the moment we are only tracking auras from the player it self.
For instance, at the moment there is no way to track a debuff placed from another player.
I want to make this feature before the release of the pre-patch.

Also, I'll take a look into those two new bugs related to the new out of combat color, thank you.

I found 2 bugs, one is a bit random and one I can reproduce consistently.

1. When tanking and in combat if my enemy target switches its target to a warlock pet or friendly npc with taunt (tried both) the nameplate color will swap to the new one you added - "out of combat nameplate color" instead of "lsot aggro" color. Have not tested this with a hunter pet nor as dps/healer spec.

2. This one is either random or at least I could not reproduce it at will - I noticed that it happened only when doing world quests though. When in combat as tank the enemy hostile npc nameplates who are not in combat with me will switch to yellow neutral color (instead of the new one you added).

Other than that the neutral and tagged nameplates seem to work properly for tanks now.

Let me know if you have a different scenario where this might be a problem.

Edit: working okay on my end, might be a out dated addon based on details! framework, try enable only Plater and see if the color works correctly.
Close, it was flashtaskbar that was doing it. Forgot I dumped an updated lib in that addon and was trying it out. Thanks for the solution

- plate colors for neutral/tagged mobs work properly only when performing a dps role. When I respec to tank the aggro colors overlap everything else even out of combat - all plates are red/blue (depending on aggro) both in and out of combat for all types of mobs - neutral, enemy, tagged regardless of texture or other options chosen. Colors work perfectly fine for dps spec. Have not tested it as a healer.

- the buff/debuff list populates only with currently active buffs and debuffs so you have to open the plater options in midcombat in order to modify the debuff/buff ignore list etc.
Found and fixed many bugs on the aggro for tanks, also, I had to add a new color for hostile mobs whose aren't in combat when the player is in combat with another mob.

The buff/debuff list shows your current buffs and debuffs and the new ones you get/apply while the panel is open.
I imagine players configuring this on a training dummy or on trash mobs.

I feel that the personal health and mana display should be hidden by default and plates should have the same size out of combat. 90% of the people i talked to that use the addon wanted exactly this.
Those icons are being fix on next version.
A side note, all spells are being reported as non-interruptable by the API, weird.

About the personal health/power/mana bar, we are following the default from Blizzard, they made this shown by default for a reason, so I'm just respecting this though.

The size is configurable, I do have plans to make a welcome screen to set up those standard settings.
