DoomKittyUI

Version: 2.0.1
by: Thees [More]

I've decided to get back to my UI and World of Warcraft. I'm doing a full rewrite of the code to be an ElvUI edit.
// Thees

DoomKittyUI is based of Cynthara UI with permissions of the author to re-create his UI. We've changed alot of the settings and some AddOns for the sake of an easy one-click character based installation.

1. Backup your current Interface (World of Warcraft folder -> Interface + WTF (+ Fonts if exists))
2. Copy over AmexiUI Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.
3. Start World of Warcraft and use the UI installer.
4. Have fun!

healer layout

Hi, just saw the new healer layout. I like the idea of moving raid frames to the center but I think it would look better to leave chat and skada beneathe the player and target. Of course this is just my opinion. Thx for the great UI.

Re: Unit Frames

In current release, there is only a config file. File in question is in DoomKitty->core folder and is named config.lua.
Next release which will be 1.4 will feature an in-game configurator and you will be able to almost completely change the look of the whole UI. But it will take a week or two more to get it finished. Currently trying to create our own castbars for easier configuration and profiling.
If you for some reason can't do what you want to do with the config file, I believe that you'll just have to wait for the next update or check the source code to change the settings you want to change.

Well, what we could do is to add an option in the configuration file to change the font on unitframes and the rest of the UI. But that will not be out before the next update so I hope you can live with the pixel font for now. And thank you for the comment on this. We always want to know what people think about our UI and what we can do to improve it.

And as of the next update, it won't be pushed for a while now because I'm currently the only programmer and I'm working on getting rid of the configuration file and implementing it in-game instead. That way, it's easier to move or change things as people see fit.

Overall, I'm pleased to hear that you liked the layout. Even if we took over an existing UI when we started, there has been alot of changes over the course and there will be more!

First, Thanks!
Second, Do you want to change only for chat log or the entire thing?
chat log is /prat and you can change the font in there. But if you want to change on unitframes or whatever it's somewhere coded in the files. We will add the feature to change font for chat/unitframes in the config file(i belive).

However if you say where you want to change the fonts we can help you change it.

edit: However if you /install on a new character the font will be re installed for that character and you have to manually change it for each character.

Hey there just wanted to say I love your UI! But one question. I cant for the life of me figure out how to change the font of the entire UI. Although i really enjoy the font, but it hurts my eyes trying to read chat logs and such.

Is there any way to change the font?
Thanks!

Oh how nice! I'm going to upload 1.3-r5 update in just a couple of days which will contain some minor bugfixes and after that it may be a week or two before 1.4 is coming out with an in-game configuration so you can change fonts more easier. Thank you for the support joe427, those kind of comments is why I'm doing this.

Also as a side note. I will be playing in WoD and will keep this UI updated, atleast as long as I can!

If there is anything you wanna see in the UI, make a comment or send me a PM and I'll take a look at it.

Bugs & Suggestions

If you find any bug please write it here in a comment or better yet send a PM to me or Thees and we will answer as fast as we can.

Suggestions are always welcome and we are atm fixing with the config file which will go to in-game config later on.
Some of the options for customization is already there but more is coming.

We are looking forward to seeing some tips or even bug reports from you guys!

Hehe, thanks Zetix!

The thing is, I'm always in a hurry when it comes to stuff that I want to be released. That's why I've changed the release numbers to x.x-rx instead of x.x, some times it does need to be updated without any new features

All right Thees! This sounds really awesome! I'm looking forward to it!
Good luck man! Take your time by the way, don't stress out over this!

2. PitBull4 is not included, my bad for not removing it from the list. It has been replaced by oUF.

I'm currently working on both keeping the UI up-to-date and adding new features to it together with a website so people can see our plans with the UI, a roadmap, external download etc. It's kinda hard to keep everything up since I'm the only developer on both the UI and the website. I'll send a notice to Orjan to update our included addons!

And thanks, it did take a while to recreate it with alot of code to hold this UI together but it was all worth it. We have big plans for how to get the UI more attractive and easy-to-use for every player who wants to use it.

Cheers,
Thees

Just one simple question, is it possible to configure the "DoomKitty" addon itself? I want to move around with the unitframes, and it seems like it's not possible to enter the PitBull options, even though it is listed as an included addon (I'm assuming it has been implemented into the "DoomKitty" addon).

Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work!

what resolution do you use and do you use window mode? Please use windowed(fullscreen)/fullscreen or it won't work. We are working on ui scaling so you can use whatever but it's coming slowly.
