ColdUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0.3
by: Coldkil [More]

As everyone has realized now, i have stopped working on the UI basically because i have stopped playing WoW altogether.

I feel sorry to not have written here before, there is a lot of people that has shown a lot of support on my work and i didn't thank you enough for that.

I had a lot of fun playing with the UI and following your feedback to improve my work.

I hope that something in the future (maybe another game) will let me do another work similar to this, as it's been by far my best WoW experience during my play time.

See you on next journey and projects.

All-in-one UI pack, working for every resolution, just try it and keep it if you like it! Mess with the code, but i don't support any edit.

Features:
- healer layout available: just set the option to true and /reload ui
- you can enable/disable pretty much any plugin
- extended focus frame available, with portrait and castbar
- datatext can be enabled/disabled too, and background panel can be toggled on/off
- change textures/fonts as you please
- you can setup your personal layout, and if you mess with thing, reset everything

SLASH COMMANDS:
/ch will make appear the help - everything is there
/align brings out a grid, very useful to move things around

Other options can be found in the relative addon config.lua file (or in game if it's provided).

AURORA:
i use an edited version of this addon to match all the Blizzard frames with the ones i designed. In game you should disable all options but the map reskin and the "replace normal game fonts" one.

ACTIONBARS:
just open config.lua in ColdBars addon, it's everything there. There are the same options as before plus some additional functionalities like vertical bars and the possibility to costantly hide pet/stance bar.
Button skin is embedded into the bars addon.
NOW PLUS MOUSEOVER!

About screenshots: they may show MSBT and an aura tracker addon, they aren't included in the package. Sorry, i still havent updated them, hope to do it asap.

CREDITS:
All credits go to respective addon authors.
Thanks to haste, for creating oUF.
Thanks to Caellian, since i've learned destroying you awesome layout.
Thanks to Tukz, i've taken some features from your incredible work.
Thanks to WoWInterface, MMO-Champion and WoWHead for their communities which have helped me a lot.
Bags are a stripped down and reduced to the bone version of Stuffing.
Cooldowns are a "same of above" version of OmniCC.
Runebar is a "same of above" edit if nibRunes.

HOW TO INSTALL:
- Make a backup of your Interface and WTF folders, then move/delete them from WoW directory.
- Unzip the archive.
- Put the folders in the ZIP archive into you Interface/Addons folder.
That's it!

ADDONS LIST:
- alDamageMeter

- oUF_Smooth
- oUF_Coldkil
- cError
- ColdBars
- ColdPlates (a very very heavy rDiabloNameplates edit)

I love this UI but the font makes my eyes bleed and I tried to change it but just messed up whole UI. So if it could be possible to get some plugin to change it I would be happy to use it

finally Blizzard has turned on addons for MoP beta!!

I'm already working on ColdUI 5.0, now i'm basically loading everything and look at every lua error that gets thrown out. When i'm done with the biggest part of the work, i could probably release a beta version for ColdUI - it all depends on the time it takes me to implement all the new mechanics.

To do list:
- fix every lua error (obviously)
- fixing the nameplates
- plugins for lock bars/shadoworbs/harmony bar (i think oUF will implement them sooner or later, but i'd like to write them myself)
- finally, ColdAuras (the project for live was nearly done, when i discovered a completely new a better way to do it, so i ditched everything and i'm redoing it)
- a new plugin tied with buff/debuff tracking (thanks carebear).

If anyone wants to test ColdUI in MoP beta or PTR (tehy're coming online soon) PM me and i can send the files - keep in mind that anything could go really bad).

Yeah, i use 2 separate addons for styling buttons and buffs - they're rButtonStyler and rBuffStyler.

They have their separate options, you just need to edit them.

Hi there!

Great work you're doing here!

I have a quick question: Trying to change the font to a 8px one (Semplice Regular). It seems to be working everywhere, except that the hotkeys and personal buff fonts will not resize after changing the master font config in the config.lua.

Any idea how to solve this?

It requires a little file edit. Anyway on the unitframes\layout.lua go to line 196 for player castbar, line 379 for target castbar, line 519 for focus castbar if you use the extended frame.

made a small update in preparation for MoP.

nothing fancy, moved minimap and datatext, fixed some bugs.

atm i'm working on ColdAuras, but it takes more than expected (i'm a perfectionist )

Yeah, there are options in the config file specifically for chat bubbles and nameplates since they use a different scale (i want to find what this scale is, so i can fix this and use a single option for everything).

MoP beta is out! I'm going to start the work asap to the MoP version of the UI, hope that a working oUF version will be available soon, otherwise i need to make new things by myself :P

Excellent UI, one of the best i've seen on here in a long time.

Just a quick question, how would I go about re-sizing the chat bubble font?
It seems to be a pixel size smaller than the rest of the UI. Thanks in advance.

Edit: nvm got it sorted.

Nice additions.

I suggest you to make them a separate file, so you won't lose the edits if i put out subsequent releases (apart to adding the fline to the .toc file).

Can you provide a screen? I think it's a bar size thing, afaik the standard bar is for 5 different forms, i need just to change the number just in case :P

Or it's a buttonskin problem?

Cold,

In an effort to spice things up a bit I have added a few slash commands to hammertime.lua

Code:
SlashCmdList.FRAME = function() print(GetMouseFocus():GetName()) end
SLASH_FRAME1 = "/gn"

SlashCmdList.GETPARENT = function() print(GetMouseFocus():GetParent():GetName()) end
SLASH_GETPARENT1 = "/gp"

SlashCmdList.DISABLE_ADDON = function(s) DisableAddOn(s) end
SLASH_DISABLE_ADDON1 = "/dis"

SlashCmdList.ENABLE_ADDON = function(s) EnableAddOn(s) end
SLASH_ENABLE_ADDON1 = "/en"

SlashCmdList.RELOADUI = ReloadUI
SLASH_RELOADUI1 = "/rl"

SlashCmdList.RCSLASH = DoReadyCheck
SLASH_RCSLASH1 = "/rc"

SlashCmdList.ROLECHECK = InitiateRolePoll
SLASH_ROLECHECK1 = "/rolecheck"
SLASH_ROLECHECK2 = "/rolepoll"

-- simple spec and equipment switching
SlashCmdList["SPEC"] = function()
	if GetActiveTalentGroup()==1 then SetActiveTalentGroup(2) elseif GetActiveTalentGroup()==2 then SetActiveTalentGroup(1) end
--[[
	local spec = GetActiveTalentGroup()
	local newspec, oldspec
	if spec==1 then SetActiveTalentGroup(2) newspec=2 elseif spec==2 then SetActiveTalentGroup(1) newspec=1 end
 	local sf = CreateFrame"Frame"
	sf:RegisterEvent("ACTIVE_TALENT_GROUP_CHANGED")
	sf:SetScript("OnEvent", function()
		local mt = GetPrimaryTalentTree(false, false, newspec)
		local mt2 = GetPrimaryTalentTree(false, false, spec)
		if mt and mt2 then
			local _, newspec = GetTalentTabInfo( mt, false, false)
			local _, oldspec = GetTalentTabInfo( mt2, false, false)
			if newspec == oldspec then
				if spec==1 then UseEquipmentSet(newspec.."1") elseif spec==2 then UseEquipmentSet(newspec.."2") end
			else
				UseEquipmentSet(newspec)
			end
		end
		sf:UnregisterAllEvents()
	end) ]]
end
SLASH_SPEC1 = "/ss"
SLASH_SPEC2 = "/spec"

SlashCmdList.GROUPDISBAND = function()
		SendChatMessage("Disbanding group.", "RAID" or "PARTY")
		if UnitInRaid("player") then
			for i = 1, GetNumRaidMembers() do
				local name, _, _, _, _, _, _, online = GetRaidRosterInfo(i)
				if online and name ~= UnitName("player") then
					UninviteUnit(name)
				end
			end

end
SLASH_GROUPDISBAND1 = "/rd"

SlashCmdList.TICKET = ToggleHelpFrame

Thank you SO much! I fell in love with the UI, and I just had to use it ... again. :P
