BobUI Classic (v6.1 beta2.1)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.1.0b2.1
by: 10leej [More]

BobUI is a Default UI modification/replacement/enhancement (call it what you want it really is just a skinned default UI) addon written and intended to be efficient and bug free while still retaining the functionalities of a fully usable UI. To break it down that means BobUI is the default user interface that's been modified to look better while being extremely flexible (practically every part of this UI can be modified in some way).

Addons:
!Beautycase --Link is to NeavUI download as that contains latest version
BobUI --Core UI addon
Click Menu
oUF -Tukz modified version
oUF_Bob

Installing BobUI:
Backup your "Interface" folder. Then place all the files included in the download in your "Interface" folder. Some aspects may be out of place and requires moving but should work fairly well on any screen resolution.

Non-wide screen resolutions will have to move stuff, I suggest either disabling panels/or just moving everything around to suit your needs. Keep in mind BobUI is built to be flexible and is easily one of the most flexible UI's out there.

For the exact setup in the screenshots I use.
  1. Make a New chat frame call it "G,S,W"
  2. type "/uisetup" this command auto sets the chat windows position and channel.
Bear in mind /uisetup only adjust the first two chat windows (skipping combat log)

Configuring BobUI:
BobUI is built to be flexible, aka I put in as many config options as I find I can implement.

Thus as I'm always find new ways to allow you guys to tinker with the config I have no plans for in game configuration in my own core addons (the ones with Bob in the name generally) and all config is done via the config.lua files listed in each addon.

However if there is a config question merely ask and I'll do my best to tell you how it can be done.
Incompatible addons:
Anything that modifies the default user interface's Actionbars/Unitframes/Clock/Minimap/Loot Frames
Certain parts of MoveAnything

Initially no, I just had your UI loaded. It seems to happen as I gain or loose Holy Power. I will test again with a fresh load just in case. Would I need to clear the cache? I have renamed the Interface and WTF folders.

Scale can be changed as well but only in the config.lua file in BobUI towards top top in the enhancements section. Just disable the autoscale by changing it from true to false then the option directly underneath sets a manual scale.
Thanks for the quick reply!

UI Error and a Couple of Questions

First off, I like what I see and I am trying it out. On my Pally I get this error.

6x oUF_Bob-1.1\embeds\oUF_HolyPowerBar.lua:21: attempt to index field "?" (a nil value)
oUF_Bob-1.1\embeds\oUF_HolyPowerBar.lua:21: in function <oUF_Bob\embeds\oUF_HolyPowerBar.lua:9>
(tail call): ?
oUF-1.6.6\ouf-1.6.6.lua:158: in function <oUF\ouf.lua:149>
(tail call): ?

Locals:
(*temporary) = "PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD"
(*temporary) = "PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD"
(*temporary) = <function> defined =[C]:-1

I did a clean install (renamed the Interface and WTF folders), so that should not be an issue. I logged in on my hunter and did not get any errors.

I have old eyes, can I make the unit frames bigger without throwing the UI out of whack? Am I able to use a different font (again eyes)? I'm not blind...

Thanks.

I dunno how you missed it. It's been on the front page of the minimalist compilations for a while. Then again it doesn't quite have the impact Tuk Elv or RealUI has so I suppose thats understandable.

If it helps any I am in the process of taking all the modules of BobUI and making them standalone

There's an option in the config.lua file called "hidehotkey" change that from true to false.

You can hide the blizzard frame just open the raid manager and select "hide" but yes I do know the big wigs skin doesn't work.

Not a problem, I did notice a few issues with the mail icon and the raid manager. I just posted an update to fix those and even get the raid frames working.
