Prettier, pixel-perfect nameplates with auras. Configurable through interface options (open with /knp or /kuinameplates).

Class colours on hostile players can be enabled in the default interface options, under "Names" - check "Class Colors in Nameplates" at the bottom right.

If you're having issues with nameplates being in incorrect locations or being unclickable, first try unchecking the "Fix aliasing" option in configuration.

More up to date versions can often be found on Curse. Please try using that version before reporting a bug.

Current features:
  • All of the default nameplate features
  • Pixel perfect!
  • Auras!
  • Combo points
  • Tank mode - recolour health bars when you have threat (enable by checking "Enable tank mode" in options)
  • Customisable display of health for friendly or enemy units
  • Pretty fading in/out of frames (disable by unchecking "Smoothly fade" in options)
  • Automatic toggling of nameplates when you enter or exit combat (enable by checking "Auto toggle in combat" in options)
  • Cast & incoming healing warnings, useful for PVP (disabled by default, check "Show cast warnings" in options)
  • Configuration profiles
Health display patterns:
The text to display for health on different frames is determined by two simple patterns: one for friendly frames and one for neutral and hostile frames. These patterns can be changed in the options dialog (/knp). They must make use of specific conditions and results, in the following format:
condition1:result1;condition2:result2;condition3:result3;
There must be at least one condition (and one result). Any other conditions are optional.

Possible conditions are:
"=" When the unit is at maximum health...
"<" When the unit's health is less than maximum...
"=<" When the unit's health is either less than maximum or at maximum...
Possible results are:
"m" ... Display their maximum health (i.e. 123.4k).
"d" ... Display their health deficit (i.e. -46.5k).
"p" ... Display their health percentage.
"c" ... Display their current health (i.e. 76.9k).
"b" ... Display nothing.
The patterns used by default are:
Friendly units: =:m;<:d;
Which means:
When the unit is at maximum health:Display their maximum health;
When they're below maximum health:Display their health deficit;
Hostile units: <:p;
Which means:
When the unit is below maximum health:Display their health percentage;
Planned features:
  • Frame blacklisting
  • Stuff I can't remember

hi Kesava, can you finally add this small list just to every class if you see no chance in adding it as an "all class list"? Its easy just copy past in every classes list and it works, had to do this now since the start of this addon :/

TODO spells regardless of class: Silences/stuns/legendary cloak:

Thanks! Personally I use my own oUF layout, oUF_Kui. However the version I've uploaded here is woefully out of date and there are modifications to my local version to make it fit more with my own UI, in a way that wouldn't really fit if you used.. any other layout, really.

Hi, first off, gorgeous nameplates. I really really like them.

Second thing, what unitframes do people use with these nameplates?
Or unitframe setup if using something like Shadowed Unit Frames, oUF or Pitbull Unit Frames.

I've browsed the unitframe section here and on curse and I haven't really found anything that seems to fit.

it would be neat to have the functionnality from arenaplates. what it does is replace the leveltext of the nameplates with the ArenaID. could be a nice features for us pvpers using these plates ! cheers

Unfortunately that's not possible, partially as Blizzard's floating combat text isn't exposed to lua. The same applies to speech bubbles. They can't be modified or even found by addons. This is a problem with the default UI and I can't do anything about it (the default nameplates do the same thing).

There are things that can be done to sort-of "work around" it, like making custom floating combat text implementations and trying to connect it to the right nameplate.. but that quickly becomes unmanageable. I might play around with it as a plugin, though.

Hey there,

First- thank you for this addon, it's by far the best plates addon there is, hands down.

Frame width can't currently be changed reliably. Auras can't be resized without code changes but I've been planning to make configuration for that for.. a while. Might play around with it tomorrow.

Question!

Huge fan of the addon, was curious if their was a way to increase the size of the debuffs on the frames, and is it possible to increase the width of it as well, and not just the height?

Yep, shouldn't be difficult to add. At the moment I believe the threat glow changes colour to orange when you're losing threat, but I can add an option to customize that and expand it to the health bar too.

yep at the moment the glow changes, but with a high number of plates + high res and during intense fights, its quite hard to spot ^^

After using Tukui/ElvUI since later WOTLK I've finally swapped to a different UI (RealUI) which comes with this addon.

So far I love it. It's very sleek and sexy. My only issue with it seems to be the lack of a "filter" feature like ElvUI nameplates and Tidy Plates seem to have. This is a very handy feature for raiders, it allows you to add names to a list and have their plates be hidden or have their plate color be different and a larger scale (useful for banners in SoO as well as mind controls on Heroic Sha and Garrosh).

Is there a way to obtain this functionality or is it already planned?

Small problem with your addon:
Some times it shows the auras in PvP, some times it doesn't.

A few people have also documented the same problems here: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...y-players-(PvP)

Any chance of a fix? Thanks heaps for your addon, I love it except for this small problem!

Weird. Tried it again and it seems to work on some classes in PvP. For instance hunters. :s
