SanUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.0.5.0
by: Pyrates [More]

This is an interface for the raiding druid, integrating all specs (other classes work with a bit more configuration). Find the most recent development version on github.

After your first login

  • You will asked if you want to import the WeakAuras of SanUI. It's save to say yes here. A reload will follow.
  • Configure tukui using the following commands:
    • "/tukui move" (move things around)
    • "/tukui config". To get the intended functionality of SanUI, do the following:
      • Disable auras, unit frames, party frames, raid frames
      • Enable action bars, enable "bottom right bar" and "right bar #1", but disable "bottom left bar" and "right bar #2", edit the settings for "bar #3" to 6 buttons per row and 6 buttons total
      Other settings might work or not and look good or not.
    • "/tukui dt" (configure data texts on the side panels)
  • Click the 'a' besides the minimap, a menu will appear. You can switch Modes there. Access to different addon configurations can be configured in SanUI/profiles.lua.

More on Usage
  • SimpleAuraFilter let's you reclaim your buff area by filtering. Simply shift-rightclick any buff you don't want to see anymore. It will be cancelled in this process, but never again show up, even if you have it. Note that there different profiles for Healer, Chicken, Bear and Cat mode, which have to be configured separately (just activate the right mode and go nuts shift-rightclicking). To make some buffs reappear, run "/sanui buffs".
  • About Config\profiles.lua: Supports user-made modes. A mode is a state of the UI consisting of several profiles for different addons or parts of the UI. It's commented well, so read there (and I'll help via forums). Important: If you're not a druid, you probably want to edit this. If you need help, let me know though the forum.

FAQ
  • Q: Nothing works. What could be happening?
  • --> A: You'll need to download and install Tukui yourself.
  • Q: Is this a complete interface for a raider?
  • --> A: Probably not. You might at least want a boss mod, clique/clicked, and bugsack/buggrabber. Maybe a Damage Meter (I use Details).
  • Q: I accidentally mucked with the weakauras from SanUI. How do I get them back?
  • --> A: Type "/sanui addweakauras" ingame to retrigger the import dialog.

I'm not gonna add it, but you can easily do it yourself. Add the following to SanUI/Modules/Unitframes/raidframes.lua, after line 730 but before line 732 (line 732 reads "return self" only):

Lua Code:
  1. -- Position and size
  2. local LFDRole = self.Health:CreateTexture(nil, "OVERLAY")
  3. LFDRole:Size(10)
  4. LFDRole:Point("BOTTOM", self)
  5.
  6. -- Register it with oUF
  7. self.LFDRole = LFDRole

For size change 10 to a suitable value, if you want it placed differently you can let me know (but first try exchanging "BOTTOM" by "BOTTOMRIGHT", "BOTTOMLEFT","LEFT","RIGHT","TOPRIGHT","TOPLEFT", or "TOP").

Yeah. Open SanUI\Modules\Misc\raidutilities.lua and find line 20, which reads

Lua Code:
  1. TukuiRaidUtility:Point("TOPLEFT", Minimap, "TOPRIGHT", 2, 0)

Change that to, e.g.

Lua Code:
  1. TukuiRaidUtility:Point("TOPRIGHT", Minimap, "TOPLEFT", -2, 0)

Then open TukuiAddonMenu\TukuiAddonMenu.lua and find line 102, which reads

Lua Code:
  1. MenuOpen:Point("BOTTOMLEFT", Minimap, "BOTTOMRIGHT", 3, 0)

Change that to, e.g.,

Lua Code:
  1. MenuOpen:Point("BOTTOMRIGHT", Minimap, "BOTTOMLEFT", -3, 0)

Don't worry about that blizzard frame for now, even small errors can wreak havoc among totally different parts of the UI.

I have included the error, but in the list it says it 1 of 22, I'm so far out of my depth here that perhaps I shouldn't have chosen this UI as it seem to require more user knowledge than I possess.
I'm here to help Only if you're still interested though.

If you are, the first thing I'd like to ask you is to check if the errors occur without the additional bars (i.e. stock SanUI). If so, please let me know the class of the character where the problem occurs.

(e) Ah, let me guess, you tried with a low level warlock? I have one myself, I'll fix this.

(ee) I think I'll also be able to fix that tooltip thing. I'll have a new version up tonight and I'll also update the hack for the additional bars. Hope that fixes things for you!

(eee) I fixed that tooltip thingy, check out the author portal again, I changed the code given there. A new SanUI fixing the warlock thing (among other things) will be up later tonight.

Which action buttons do you mean? Mine all do have tooltips.

PS: I'll be away for some days, not sure I'll be able to reply during the trip.

Extra Action buttons do not show tooltip

As mentioned above, adding the extra action buttons works and I love that it's mouse over too but they don't provide tool tips which can be useful.

P.S. I cannot say enough how much I like this UI.

As for the buttons, sorry, there's no such feature. Maybe search tukui.org for an addon that does this for tukui.

Moving it slightly down, sure, take just the same code below, but take line 10. Replace the -5 by a lower number to your liking.

Thank wow that was fast, I did edit my post with another question relating to the buttons around the minimap, can they be put into a bar like elvui does because the minimap is so small at the moment they crowd it badly, also can the minimap be moved slightly downwards?

I found 200 to be perfect for me by the way, the buttons didn't move out so they are actually on the minimap instead of on the edge which kinda relates to the above questions.

Yeah, that's it. Just change it to

Lua Code:
  1. local S,C,L = unpack(SanUI)
  2. S["UnitFrames"].Enable = function() return end
  3.
  4.
  5. local S,C,L = unpack(SanUI)
  6.
  7. -- Minimap
  8. hooksecurefunc(S["Maps"]["Minimap"],"Enable",function()
  9. Minimap:ClearAllPoints()
  10. Minimap:SetPoint("TOPLEFT",UIParent,"TOPLEFT",5,-5)
  11. QueueStatusMinimapButton:ClearAllPoints()
  12. QueueStatusMinimapButton:Point("BOTTOMRIGHT",Minimap,"BOTTOMRIGHT")
  13. Minimap:Size(200)
  14. end)
  15.
  16. hooksecurefunc(S["ActionBars"],"Enable",function()
  17.
  18. local TukuiBar1 = S["Panels"].ActionBar1
  19. local TukuiBar2 = S["Panels"].ActionBar2
  20. local TukuiBar3 = S["Panels"].ActionBar3
  21. local TukuiBar4 = S["Panels"].ActionBar4
  22. local TukuiBar5 = S["Panels"].ActionBar5
  23.
  24. -- Bars: Bar 1 will contain all main Buttons, Bar 2 is just moved on top of it, background made invisible,
  25. -- 3 and 4 must go, Bar 5 stays at the rigt, 6 & 7 anchor to it
  26.
  27. TukuiBar1:ClearAllPoints()
  28. TukuiBar1:Point("BOTTOM", UIParent, "BOTTOM", 0, 3)
  29. TukuiBar1:SetWidth((C["ActionBars"].NormalButtonSize * 24) + (C["ActionBars"].ButtonSpacing * 27))
  30. RegisterStateDriver(TukuiBar1, "visibility", "[petbattle] hide; show")

and play around with the number that's 200 now to find the right size for you.

Thank you for your reply, I did go to edit that file but I saw no numbers and I was hesitant to change anything when I am unsure. I have included a bit of the file you suggested editing to see if this is what you mean.

Can the minmap be moved slightly, i did get an add-on called moveanything but it still thinks the minimap is on the right side so that was no help at all, one other thing, is there a way to put all the minimap buttons that appear from add-ons such as atlas loot in to a bat under the minimap like elvui does?

Sorry this is a lot of questions but I really love your ui and I'm just trying to make it fit for what I need I really appreciate your time and effort.

The lua file looked like the following:

local S,C,L = unpack(SanUI)
S["UnitFrames"].Enable = function() return end

local S,C,L = unpack(SanUI)

-- Minimap
hooksecurefunc(S["Maps"]["Minimap"],"Enable",function()
Minimap:ClearAllPoints()
Minimap:SetPoint("TOPLEFT",UIParent,"TOPLEFT",5,-5)
QueueStatusMinimapButton:ClearAllPoints()
QueueStatusMinimapButton:Point("BOTTOMRIGHT",Minimap,"BOTTOMRIGHT")
end)

hooksecurefunc(S["ActionBars"],"Enable",function()

local TukuiBar1 = S["Panels"].ActionBar1
local TukuiBar2 = S["Panels"].ActionBar2
local TukuiBar3 = S["Panels"].ActionBar3
local TukuiBar4 = S["Panels"].ActionBar4
local TukuiBar5 = S["Panels"].ActionBar5

-- Bars: Bar 1 will contain all main Buttons, Bar 2 is just moved on top of it, background made invisible,
-- 3 and 4 must go, Bar 5 stays at the rigt, 6 & 7 anchor to it

TukuiBar1:ClearAllPoints()
TukuiBar1:Point("BOTTOM", UIParent, "BOTTOM", 0, 3)
TukuiBar1:SetWidth((C["ActionBars"].NormalButtonSize * 24) + (C["ActionBars"].ButtonSpacing * 27))
RegisterStateDriver(TukuiBar1, "visibility", "[petbattle] hide; show")

Resizing the minimap is not supported per se, but you could open SanUI\Modules\AddonMods\tukui.lua and make a new line after line 12 (i.e. before 13, that's really important), and on that line write

Lua Code:
  1. Minimap:Size(200)

Save, reload the UI, and see if you like it. Fiddle with the 200, of course

edit: minimap resize

Another issue, how do I make the minimap a little bigger?

Edit: Solved - I found a small tab on the minimap and was able to select chicken, ty.
Hello there, you UI is fantastic only the eclipse bar is missing on my balance druid and I cannot find it in the settings anywhere, could you please point out where the setting is?
