SanUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 5.4.1.1

SanUI

This is an interface for the raiding druid, integrating all specs. Works for other classes, though a bit more configuration is neccessary (I'll help). It supposedly only works if your monitors resolution is at least 1280 x 1024 by virtue of Tukui. Suggestions and criticism welcome

See my Author Portal for some mods for SanUI (mostly about the action bars by now).

After your first login
  • The installation procedure of Tukui will start. Just klick "Ok" (or whatever's there for you) 4 times and let it reload your UI.
  • Type "/moveui" to move different aspects of the UI.
  • Configuration of Tukui (particularly the UI-Scale) can be done via typing "/tukui"
  • Besides the minimap is a box with an 'a'. Click it, a menu will appear. You can switch Modes there. Access to different addon configurations can be configured in SanUI/profiles.lua (dbm, altoholic and the world pvp frame visibility are configured as examples).

More on Usage
  • SimpleAuraFilter let's you reclaim your buff area by filtering. Simply shift-rightclick any buff you don't want to see anymore. It will be cancelled in this process, but never again show up, even if you have it. Note that there different profiles for Healer, Chicken, Bear and Cat mode, which have to be configured separately (just activate the right mode and go nuts shift-rightclicking).
  • Directly below the minimap to the left there's a box saying something like "1 Problem". That's from Energized. Mouseover to see the tooltip (which buffs you're missing from the group you're in).
  • On the right hand side of Skada's main window, there's a little cube. Right-click it to reset Skada's data, left-click to toggle Skada's visibility.
  • Click stuff. There are a lot of menus, go find them (special hint: middle and right mouseclick on the minimap).

Configuration

About Config\profiles.lua: Its purpose is to support user-made modes. A mode is a state of the UI consisting of several profiles for different addons or parts of the UI. It's commented well, so read there (and I'll help via forums). Important: If you're not a druid, you probably want to edit this. If you need help, let me know though the forum.

FAQ
  • Q: Is this a complete interface for a raider?
  • --> A: Probably not. You might at least want a boss mod, clique, and bugsack/buggrabber.
  • Q: In your screenshot, some of your actionbuttons glow. Mine don't. What's up with that?
  • --> A: You need to install Tukui_ActionHighlight (available on tukui.org) for that.
  • Q: You've skinned CoolLine and Skada. Will there be problems with AddOnSkins Tukui?
  • --> A: No. I did test, and nothing bad happens. You might want to disable the CoolLine and Skada skins of AddOnSkins Tukui, otherwise those will be skinned twice. That's not a real problem though, so if you like it that way, keep them enabled.

Included addons and credit

Great

I've enable my Author Portal. You could submit bugs or feature requests there, and from time to time I'll post requested modifications there that I don't want to make part of SanUI itself (e.g. adding action bars the way Riggins requested).

Tested warrior after editing oug_gcd.lua and the result was positive. No FOO! in the chat.

Tested priest by logging in and out after editing hank_v3.lua. No Shadow Orbs when not in Shadow spec.

Tested shapshifter / stance bar after I'd c&p'd the the entire coolline.lua file and can confirm no .lua errors and the bar no longer resets to the default position after spec change or logging in and out.

You're amazing and I really appreciate just how helpful you have been. Thank you very much.

Yeah that went wrong, might have been my directions though. Here's a c&p for the whole file:

Lua Code:
  1. local S,C = unpack(SanUI)
  2.
  3.
  4. -- executed  PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD in Misc.lua
  5. --Putting it above the middle action bar
  6. --Note the visible part is CoolLine.background, and it's anchored via
  7. --SetPoint("TOPRIGHT",S.Scale(-2),S.Scale(2)), so we need to adjust
  8. --Set coolline height via savedvar, updatelook updates it and the icons
  9. function S.modCoolLine(event)
  10.
  11.     CoolLineDB = CoolLineDB or { }
  12.     if CoolLineDB.perchar then
  13.         db = CoolLineCharDB
  14.     else
  15.         db = CoolLineDB
  16.     end
  17.
  18.     db.h = C["actionbar"].buttonsize
  19.     db.w = TukuiBar1:GetWidth()-4
  20.     db.inactivealpha = 1
  21.     db.bordercolor.a = 0
  22.     db.bgcolor.a = 0
  23.
  24.     hooksecurefunc(CoolLine, "updatelook", function()
  25.         CoolLine:ClearAllPoints()
  26.         CoolLine:SetPoint("BOTTOMLEFT",TukuiBar1,"TOPLEFT",S.Scale(2),S.Scale(3))
  27.         CoolLine:SetPoint("BOTTOMRIGHT",TukuiBar1,"TOPRIGHT",S.Scale(-2),S.Scale(3))
  28.     end)
  29.
  30.     CoolLine.updatelook()
  31.
  32.     if not CoolLine.backdrop then
  33.         CoolLine:CreateBackdrop()
  34.     end
  35.
  36.     --Move shapeshift bar above coolline, should be overriden after moving with /moveui
  37.     if not TukuiStance:IsUserPlaced() then
  38.         TukuiStance:ClearAllPoints()
  39.         TukuiStance:Point("BOTTOMLEFT",CoolLine.backdrop,"TOPLEFT",0,-15)
  40.     end
  41.
  42.     CoolLine:SetParent(TukuiPetBattleHider)
  43.
  44. end

I have a feeling I'm doing something incorrectly for this one. The others work perfectly, however, when I edit Coolline.lua I lose my Coolline's bar and get a lua error. This is what the file looks like after I've edited. Perhaps you can see where I've gone wrong. (Yes I know I've screwed up a simple copy & paste) :P

Ok, thanks So you don't have to wait for a new upload, do the following:

Open the file oUF_GCD\oUF_GCD.lua and find line 28. Replace the number "772" by "7386" (no quotation marks). Reload the UI, then no "Foo!" should appear anymore.

I'll have a look at the other stuff.

(e) Ok, got that shadow orbs stuff. Find oUF_hank_v3/hank_v3.lua and go to line 1279. After that line, insert a line saying

Lua Code:
  1. talentUpdate(self,'PLAYER_TALENT_UPDATE','player')

Should work now

(ee) Just to make sure, it's just that stance bar issue that's missing, right?

(eee) Wow having moved to an SSD makes me so productive b/c game reloads are fast \,,/ Stance thingy:

Open SanUI\Modules\AddonMods\coolline.lua, find line 36. Delete _everything_ after it, and then paste the following _after_ it (of course, start on a new line):

Lua Code:
  1. if not TukuiStance:IsUserPlaced() then
  2.     TukuiStance:ClearAllPoints()
  3.     TukuiStance:Point("BOTTOMLEFT",CoolLine.backdrop,"TOPLEFT",0,-15)
  4. end
  5.
  6. CoolLine:SetParent(TukuiPetBattleHider)

I.e. what's line 1 here should be 37 in your edited file. Reload, enjoy (you might need to use /moveui again after the change). Thanks for any feedback, it did work for me, but let's hear if it did for you

(eeee) Sorry for asking for so many edits by yourself, but you seem comfortable with them, and preparing an upload takes quite a bit of time for me because of testing.

Weird, I don't get it on my warrior. Prot spec? Please, log on your warrior and scroll up and down a bit directly after, there should be lines different from "Foo" that give a (or mor than one) spell ID. That's the one I'd like to know
This is what it looked like when I logged on my warrior a few mins ago. I expanded the chat box so you can see everything that was shown. Protection spec currently however I get the same "FOO!" message in Arms spec.

I did not yet find time to work on the shadow orbs, sorry. Hopefully tomorrow

There's a couple of other things I'm trying to work out other than the shadow orbs being present when I first log in. Was hoping to get your input on them. In the screenshot below can you identify what the spam in the chat is? When I'm on my warrior is happens constantly which is rapidly scrolling my chat up. Also now that the extra bars have been added the "shapeshift/totem" bar is in the way. I've moved it using /moveui but each time I log back in it's relocated back to its default position. Is there a way to lock it into position?

Phew, nice it's ok

One other thing if I may. Is there a way to not show the raid frame when I'm solo. You may noticed in my earlier screenshots there's the one raid frame that shows when I'm solo and I'd like to turn off that feature and only have the frames show if I'm in a group or a raid.
Sure. I'll assume you'll just use the healing profile, if not let me know and I'll tell you what to do in that case. Find the file SanUI\Modules\Modeswitch\raidframes.lua and find line 144. Add the following lines after it
Lua Code:
  1. frame:SetAttribute("showSolo", false)
  2. pets:SetAttribute("showSolo", false)

Also, find line 64 and replace

Lua Code:
  1. pets:SetAttribute("showSolo",show)

by

Lua Code:
  1. pets:SetAttribute("showSolo",false)

I did this out of my head, so make a backup before changing the files, and let me know if that works.

Thanks for the detailed report, that gave me a good idea what is wrong. Unfortunately, I won't be able to work on it before the weekend, but seeing you have a workaround I hope that's ok for you

Btw your buffs are placed wrong, doesn't that bug you? I have no idea why that's the case though, but you could install bugsack and buggrabber and enable lua errors to see if something comes up. The minimap looks wrong, too...

When I log on, regardless if I'm in Disc or Holy spec, the orbs are visible. When I reload the UI the orbs are no longer visible and they do not reappear during game play. If I log off and then log back on the orbs are visible again. In which case I have to reload the UI for them to no longer show. The orbs only show when I log on or if I change characters and then log back on my shaman.
For example:
Log into the game on my Priest,
Shadow Orbs are visible.
Reload the UI and the orbs are no longer visible.
Log off of the Priest and log onto my Shaman.
Log off of the Shaman and back onto the Priest,
Shadow Orbs are visible.
Reload the UI and the orbs are no longer visible.
Log out of the game completely.
Log back in later on my Priest.
Shadow Orbs are visible.
Reload the UI and the orbs are no longer visible.

Wasn't trying to be sarcastic or offensive. I apologies if it comes across as that. I'm just trying to break it down to show when the Shadow Orbs are visible and when they are not. Below Is a screenshot. I have just logged into the game as Holy spec.

Many thanks.
