Version: 11.0
by: Rekcinad [More]

REKCINAD UI

A custom interface for WoW. Usable for Tanking, dpsing and healing.

This UI uses mainly ElvUI with the Skullflower edit.

Core AddOns
  • ElvUI + Skullflower UI pack
  • BigWigs
  • Omen
  • Skada
  • WeakAuras
  • Parrot

Installation
  1. Backup your Fonts, WTF and Interface folders in the main WoW directory.
  2. Unpack the downloaded file.
  3. Copy the new Fonts, WTF and Interface folders to your WoW directory.
  4. Make sure you select the WTF folder corresponding to your resolution, and rename it to WTF.
  5. Go into WTF/Account and rename "ACCOUNTNAME" to your accountname.
  6. In "ACCOUNTNAME", rename "SERVERNAME" to your server's name.
  7. In "Servername", rename "Classname" to your character's name. You can copy this folder for every character you own and rename accordingly. As you can see there are already some class specific folders here.Take your pick from the Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Paladin, Death Knight or Priest folder instead if you are playing one of these classes.

Now that you're set up you can start up WoW and log in. Make sure Out of Date addons are enabled in the addon screen. Once you're in-game, you will have to set up some profiles.

Setting up the profiles
  • /ec -> Pick your class' profile. If your class isn't listed, pick Warrior.
  • /bw -> Default
  • /omen -> Default
Reload your UI after all this is done.

Version 2.1
- Both 1920x1080 and 1680x1050 resolutions are now supported
- Polished action bars. Various tweaks are: shadow under the main bar, tidied up the hidden action bars at the bottom.
- Replacement of the tooltip - it will no longer obstruct UI windows.
- Updates to the nameplates. Better castbar + castbar icon and a better look overall.
- Slight finetune of the two stat bars in both bottom corners.

Version 1.2
- Reduced overall memory usage through Aloft

The user interface is being updated at the moment. There is a new Layout included in addition to the already exisiting one, to make it more appealing to more mainstream users. Check out the screenshots!

@ Dreyden: I don't use a worldmap addon.

Love the look of this!

Actually, it's the first UI that's made me want to change my current personal edit of TukUI.

A Job well done sir.

Awesome

This is a very unique and fresh design of a UI, I love how unique and different it is from most, while still being sleek and stylish without over doing it. This is really well done. I don't play WoW anymore, but I still like to look at the UI designs people create. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed looking at it.

Memory leak

Hey, I love the UI, I'm currently using it, but I had to get rid of Pb4 because the dogtags were leaking memory, it spiked to almost 40mb (not the total, just dogtags). I just thought I'd inform you :]

Hey, I've just switched from using LUI to your UI pack, but I'm having a couple of problems.

I'm currently using a 17" monitor, which I understand is a lot smaller than what the UI is designed for. Some parts of the UI, such as SBF, the minimap, Skada, the unitframes and bartender are all in the correct place. However, SLDataText, the kg panels for the SLDataText and the chat frame, and Quartz are all in strange place on my screen, or just off the screen entirely.

Is there any way in which I can fix this, without manually having to drag everything in to place? Things such as SLDataText and some of the KG panels can't even be seen, let alone moved, so I've no idea how to move them.

So I ask again, is there anyway I can solve this?

Note: I have made sure I'm using the correct profiles for everything.

Edit: Coolline is also not working as intended.

This is the first time I've heard of this problem. Could it be conflicting with an addon of your own perhaps?

I won't be supporting lower resolutions than 1680x1050. If you want to make it fit on your screen, you will have to go into each seperate addon and move the frames yourself.

I use to have a very small monitor, I had a 19' monitor. I always had to re-adjust things to fit the screen when I used UI's. I had to do it through LUA, and you will to since you can't access the ones that are off the screen. I eventually bought a new monitor, and it's well worth it. You can get an Alienware monitor for $200... well I did. I don't know if they changed the price or not yet. Good luck, it takes some patience to figure out the LUA and move things. It's a little similar to CSS, if you know it.

Updated for both widescreen resolutions;

- 1920x1080
- 1680x1050

Other resolutions will not be supported. If you want to make it fit anyhow, then you will have to put the work in. :-)
