oUF BrethrenRaidFrames  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.3.8
by: xenios [More]

About
oUF_BrethrenRF is a layout for oUF 1.6.x (included) by haste.

This layout was created for my personal needs. It is a recreation of the default style in my RDX package that I maintained a long time ago. This layout only includes raid/party frames (pets and MTs included). If you need player / target frames feel free to combine this with another layout. Type /brf to move the frames. (now includes boss encounter bar. ie. Sound bar)

Supported Frames

  • Party
  • Raid
  • Raid Pets
  • MTs
  • MTTs

Features
  • Customizable buff monitoring areas and bars
  • Boss ability highlights for Cataclysm bosses
  • Texture colors are editable with three level color gradients
  • Heal prediction (thanks blizz for not making this a pain anymore)
  • All sizes and scales are easily editable
  • All frames are movable, including blizzard's special boss ability bar (ie. sound bar)
  • In-game customization

Supported Plugins
  • oUF_Smooth (included)
  • oUF_MoveableFrames (included)
  • oUF_SpellRange (included)

Customization
type /brf config for ingame options. For the advanced aurabar settings check auraBarSettings.lua

There are 5 areas which can represent buff / debuff information on the frame, here is a list of them:
  • Base border color when buff / debuff is present
  • A border bar that can be used to track the time left in a buff / debuff (I use it for weakend soul)
  • Two bars on top of the health bar (top and bottom) that will track buffs or debuffs. The bottom bar is reserved for buffs cast by you.
  • A numerical indicator that can show group number / buff occurances (numbers of a hot from different players) / buff stacks (from yourself)

Each buff / debuff has its own customizeable color, alpha, and priority. Highest priority in each configuration area wins.

Todo
  • o_O

No worries, I just thought I'd give my PoV in case you were considering implementing them

I have played a healer (Druid and Shammy) but have always used Grid showing green/blue/purple border on poison/magic/curse and a single icon in the middle of the frame for boss debuffs (like Freebgrid does as well).

Stack counter is a nice idea, would work well in conjunction with the border.

I'll have a look at bossfilter, thanks

Really like these frames, the border color and bar ticking down solution is very elegant. The only thing missing for me is debuffs since as a tank and raid leader I need to know how many stacks people have and what the time is on them (taunt rotations, warning people about stacks in case they get tunnel vision, announcing things on TS, etc). What InaUI posted is a perfect example:

and I would really love to have this with your layout.
Not sure which addon that is btw? Anyway nice job on the addon

No easy way to do this. The border changes color only for buffs (mainly healers) / debuffs and focus target. Getting the border to change color on agro would be alot more than one line. The name of the person does turn red when they have agro though.

And in the new version, when I set a focus the glow effect just disappears but no focus border is showing up.

And there is one thing, I do not now if it is possible, but I like the unit frames wich have debuff icons on the right, so that it looks like this:

Again, thanks for the new version and the work you put into it!
I have fixed focus and added an option to show non mana powerbars. I will upload it in a few days in case something else comes up.

As for debuff icons, I have to think about it. For me they are not needed. When you can dispel something the border changes colors. When a player gets a debuff on a boss fight that is important their whole frame changes color. Only time it would be useful would be on new bosses when you don't have the abilities programmed in. If I am missing a boss debuff that you want to have added let me know.

There is also the issue of spacing. Due to the way things are grouped up, the only orientation you could do this in is when the frames are laid out vertically. If you do this in any other orientation it will result in overlapping or very large and ugly gaps between groups or players.

In the next version I will have a 100% in game configuration window. I have been meaning to do it and I have had a few people ask me for it so I finally put in most of the work yesterday. It should be up on the site some time later today.

Thank You so much for helping.

Makes me feel so stupid as i dont understand codeing at all

(Aye, before asking Your help with this, i tried to look at the config, but it doesnt seem so easy to work with, makes me feel i would mess something instead of doing something that i planned and now, as you gave me Your help, its how i wanted it to be and im happy)

Thank You, thank You, thank You!

Edit:
As i deleted the few lines about the raid from the .lua, dont know if You ment it by 'comment the lines', but thats what i did and now the raidgroups dont show, like i wanted - its great.

The problem at the moment is that i cant get the /brf to work + party frame sticks with Blizzard layout.

Ive totally messed it up now
Actually that makes sense, don't know why I didn't think of that before. I am using the raid frame to show party so commenting or deleting that part will prevent the party from showing up.

To fix since you deleted those lines, at line 941 paste this:

Code:
local party = BRFHeader("Raid_BrethrenRF")
party:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", "oUF_BrethrenRFRaidFrame", "TOPLEFT")
ns._Headers[party:GetName()] = party
party:SetScale(ns.settings.scale)
then on line 922 set showraid to false.

Or redownload and check out config.lua there are alot of options to make the windows look however you want for the most part.
