4.0 » The rise of Lordaeron!
2560 x 1600 resolution designed interface
It's been quite some time since I last touched CalaiUI--with the launch of Mists of Pandaria; it seemed befitting to update and bring something new to the community.
In the past, CalaiUI was built for every class. However, this time around it's only built for Paladins. What does that mean? It means you will need to do a little work on a few small things for it to work with other classes. The reason for this is that awhile back I decided to delete every level 85 character I had for every class. It was becoming too time consuming and I rather focus on my Paladin that I enjoy greatly!
So, to the show. I hope you enjoy the UI; it would not have been possible without the amazing support and careful programmers of the many addons used in my suite.
Most of all; my inspiration; Lui!
Always check the Change Log for update information!
Installation Instructions
Configure InGame
Once you load WoW and log into your character everything will be scattered throughout the middle of your screen. Do not fear.
Simply type /reflux switch CalaiUI (exactly how it's typed) and watch your UI reload.
The chat frame is not bounded to the kgPanels at the left and right--it is your responsibility to unlock and set your frames as you see.
If you wish to not use those frames:
Type /reload to reload the UI.
Reflux has been updated to work, but has been known at times to not. If you are having problems with your UI not looking like our examples, please open up an addon and check the profiles tab. You should see "CalaiUI" as a profile option.
There is a known bug that if you have an account name with numbers you must ensure you copy/type it exactly how it is or addons will not load properly.
Additional Information - please read this!
HELP! I need to update Deadly Boss Mods
I'm using a DBM template that another addon user created and put up on WoWI. The issue, every time a new DBM is released I have to backup some files before I replace.
So, if you are going to update DBM you need to do the following first!
Special Action Bar?
The Special Action Bar (introducted in Cataclysm) is located in the middle just above Grid.
What about more action bars, aura bars, shape shift bars?
You will need to enable and place them where you see fit.
Type /bt and choose the appropriate bar(s) you require.
Where is the Target Casting Bar?
My mainspec is Holy, therefore I do not need to see what my mates are casting.
To unhide;
Grid Layout - Healer and Tank/DPS
I have created two different layouts for you to use. The primary layout is setup for Holy; it's a simple centered above action buttons so that I can see what is going on and watch my cooldowns.
You will need to adjust the Grid profile for your taste; by default when you set this up it will automatically use the Tank/DPS layout.
Grid Profile Name
CalaiUI - this is a smaller more compact raid frame that sits mid screen far left.
CalaiUI - Healer - this is the layout you see in my screenshots.
Recount panel is way out of whack!
You may experience a small habit where Recount's window will move. Whatever you do, do not use kgpanels move panels option, all panels are tied to the addons so you need to move that specific addon. To do this with recount, follow these steps;
Recount is not coloring my class properly!
In recount we setup the coloring to show all classes outside of a Paladin as darker gray and the Paladin class lighter gray. The purpose behind this was visual reference at speed; locating a lighter bar against darker bar helps you find your place--especially when you need to monitor your HPS (Heals per Second).
To make this appropriate for your class outside of a Paladin, follow these steps:
Addons
I would like to thank these additional authors whose contributions have helped us develop a better interface for the community.
Thank you again for trying this UI out and I hope it serves the needs of you!

Course Client zeigt mir einige Addon updates.
Kann ich modified oder Unconfirmed Addons updaten oder schreddert das dann die UI? |

Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Addon !Beautycase eingeschaltet ist. Wenn es nicht ist, wird Grid nicht richtig zeigen.
Go to the addons screen ingame and check that the following are enabled; LibSharedMedia-3.0 SharedMedia SharedMedia Additional Fonts Then log into a character and open up tiptac (/tiptac). Click the font menu and verify that the font is select.
I know I had a ton of weird bugs popping up the last few days with QuestGuru after Blizz made some changes. Let me do some digging. |

Hi Calai,
First off, great UI. Sort of like a lightweight LUI (which is also a fantastic UI). However, I'm experiencing a bug with my quest tracker. It doesn't seem to show any of my tracked quests (and using add-ons that show quest objectives don't work either). Also want to point out that this only happens on one of my characters (a rogue). On my priest it seems to work just fine. Here's a dump of the error: 1x Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:866: WatchFrameLine2:SetPoint(): WatchFrameLine7 is dependent on this: Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:866: in function `?': Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:387: in function `WatchFrame_Update': Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:250: in function <Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:238>: Locals: lineFrame = WatchFrameLines { 0 = <userdata> numFunctions = 0 updateFunctions = <table> {} AutoQuestShadow = WatchFrameLinesAutoQuestShadow {} } nextAnchor = WatchFrameLine7 { 0 = <userdata> dash = WatchFrameLine7Dash {} text = WatchFrameLine7Text {} frameCache = <table> {} Reset = <function> @ Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:1227: } maxHeight = 140.00006318981 frameWidth = 192 _ = nil questTitle = WatchFrameLine2 { 0 = <userdata> dash = WatchFrameLine2Dash {} text = WatchFrameLine2Text {} frameCache = <table> {} Reset = <function> @ Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:1227: } questIndex = 3 line = nil lastLine = nil linkButton = nil watchItemIndex = 0 numVisible = 0 numPOINumeric = 0 numPOICompleteIn = 0 numPOICompleteOut = 0 text = nil finished = nil numQuestWatches = 2 numObjectives = 2 title = "Threat From Above" level = 80 questTag = "Group" suggestedGroup = 3 isHeader = nil isCollapsed = nil isComplete = nil isDaily = 1 questID = 13809 maxWidth = 0 lineWidth = 0 topEdge = 0 playerMoney = 63315436 (for index) = 1 (for limit) = 2 (for step) = 1 i = 1 questFailed = false requiredMoney = 0 filterOK = true link = nil item = nil charges = nil showItemWhenComplete = nil WatchFrame_ResetQuestLines = <function> @ Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:194: WATCHFRAME_SETLINES = <table> { 1 = WatchFrameLine2 {} } WatchFrame_GetQuestLine = <function> @ Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:182: IS_HEADER = true DASH_NONE = 0 DASH_HIDE = 2 DASH_SHOW = 1 questLineIndex = 2 WatchFrame_GetLinkButton = <function> @ Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:62: WatchFrame_ReleaseUnusedQuestLines = <function> @ Interface\FrameXML\WatchFrame.lua:198: --- Best of luck

I have that addon attached to a panel so what you need to do is join a party as a leader. That will auto load the markings. When you do that type /wmarkup and set the scale to 65%. Move the bar to where you want it (you will see the black panel background I put behind it) I normally put mine above the Grid panel at the top left corner. Once you get it set hit the "lock" checkmark and those two side boxes will disappear giving you a clean black box with the markings. The '?' icon initiates a readycheck for your raid. This is one of the best marking addons I have used, I love it. |

CalaiUI 2.0 -- Preview
I'm already planning ahead on some changes with CalaiUI for the big version 2.0
Here are some sneak peaks of a few changes; now none of these are permanent. They may change over the course of time from now until 2.0 is released. I didn't get a whole lot of actual raid time when I built version 1.0 as the patch was still buggy as all get out, but I hope with 2.0 to release a full running package from the get-go. I still can't thank all of you that downloaded it and those of you who needed my help. I hope that I have answered and fixed everyone's issue with getting the UI running smoothly. I look forward to the many more improvements down the road. Don't hesitate to send me your ideas either! |

If you are getting an error when mousing over someone you may need to go download the new TipTac and replace it in my addons folder. There was a blizzard paperdoll bug that would trip tiptac.

Really nice and clean UI! I had to adjust it to reflect my play-style some but, overall, very pleased. Nice job!
One thing, though - how do you turn off this little gnome saying "Vitality" in the background (or something to that effect) everytime I mouseover a NPC or someone else's toon? Really annoying.
