Headline (Nameplates)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: r13
by: senomar [More]

Very lightweight nameplates addon.

Nameplates for hostile players are classcolored.

Nameplates for hostile mob's are threatcolored in combat!
green: low or no threat
yellow: medium threat
red: aggro

/headline for basic settings:

- width
- font size
- level display
- amplified target

Since this is a forked overhead: credits to p3lim.

r13
- removed 4.0.1a obsolete hook
r12
- option to amplify target
r10+11
- bugfixes
r9
- toggle level via /headline level
r8
- bars are threatcolored for hostile mobs in combat only. so, hostile mobs are red out of combat
r7

r6
- basic settings via /headline
r5
- fixes
r4
- fixed theatplates on mobs
r3
- wow 4.0.1 fixes

I don´t want to "change" your addon in a big way, it´s just another color i want to see there.

Dont know whats your problem. I´m not asking for other scripts, forms, fonts, textures or anything else...
and what exactly is holding you back from changing it to your liking?
dig the lua line 80 changes the background color.

for non-german folks: just told him that hostile mobs are threatcolored.

love the addon, but... why the hell are those green on the mobs? only gets red on aggro... thats unusual. green should be on friendly/npcs only..

green means: no aggro or low aggro.

do you people really play with nameplates on friendly targets? mine are only visible for hostile units, so: nameplate -> something that can attack you

i understand that this is confusing for some people. but i really like it that way. this behavior is intended and will very likely stay that way. maybe other colors, but actually i do not see a need for a change.

no, thats not the point. mines where always red, enemy=red and then they gets more red on aggro, thats my point

the picture looks fine to me. you are out of combat: the bar is green.

In r8, bars are threatcolored for hostile mobs now in combat only!
so, hostile mobs are red out of combat.

thx to linkszwodrei for the suggestion.

wait for r8 to be approved by the admins here.
for the color: change frame.hp:SetStatusBarColor(1, 0.35, 0.2) to frame.hp:SetStatusBarColor(1, 0, 0)

Would it be too much to ask for an option to show mob/player level? I am leveling a shaman and like to see via nameplates if I am about to attack something that is too much for me to handle. It is just more efficient for me to have it on the nameplates rather than to have to mouseover or target the mob and rely on the target frame or tooltip to let me know.
