  • IMPORTANT: if you update to version 4.x from 3.x and older, you must update cfg.lua because it was redesigned.

About
  • Originally inspired by zork's amazing work with rActionBarStyler and rActionButtonStyler.
  • m_ActionBars is a very flexible lightweight add-on that handles your action bars.
  • This add-on is making use of default blizzard's action bars
  • This add-on aimed mainly for people with at least some experience in using lua-configured add-ons as all settings located in cfg.lua.

well... the add-on is completely modular, so yeah you can simply delete RangeCheck.lua and you get rid of that functionality

And as for your performance concerns, it is quite efficient so unless you use your cell phone or calculator to play wow you should not notice a difference performance wise

Is it possible to remove the color function? I don't like the way all my buttons keep flashing in differenct colors constantly. It's close to being a lazer show on my actionbars, very distracting.

So yea, is there any way to remove it without having to modify the colorvalues, because that seems like a crappy hackfix since the function probably will trigger just as often?

1. Is it possible to fade the mainbar when you´re out of combat?

in cfg.lua theres no "show in combat" option for the mainbar.


2. I have no vehicle bar. When i´m on a vehicle the bars just stay the same as if i wouldnt be in a vehicle, theres no reaction.
How can i change?

I'm glad you fixed it, I don't play rogue and I always thought shadow dance bar is the same as stealth bar :S

after running some tests with solution I was thinking about I ran in few major tain issues and I can't be arsed solving them.

The only possible way to make this kind of feature work right now is very similar to what I have done with my totembar (destroys totems on right click), i.e. you'd have to hook into OnMouseUp script for _each_button_ and this's sort of insane if you ask me So for now sorry, but I'm not going to contribute more time into this question, try asking on forums, maybe there's already a standalone add-on which does what you need.

EDIT: on a side note... there shouldn't be more than just few spells that you need to right click, so why don't you simply make a macro for such abilities?

like this for example: /cast [button:2,@self]some_usefull_spell;some_usefull_spell

Do not report bugs until you properly tested it please, because it's rather pointless.
I respec dozens of times every day, and I have yet to see this problem. In fact out of few thousands people who use this add-on there's been very few reports concerning this issue, which I personally never experienced myself so far. Therefore I tend to think it could be a conflict with some other add-on, rather than m_ActionBars bug.

Keybinding problem happened again for me today, after several spec changes suddenly the keybindings stopped working and I had to reload the UI.
Not sure if it is related to bindpad, but it shouldn't be. Will test more.

Everytime i logon with this addon, no modifications it crashes my wow, whenever i disable the addon, everything works as it should.

Any ideas on what it can be? If you have an email or anything i could send you my logs.

Had a look at the code and I managed to fix my problem, if any other rogue has it, open the ActionBars.lua file, search for
Code:
    ["ROGUE"] = "[bonusbar:1] 7; [form:3] 7;",
and replace it with

     ["ROGUE"] = "[bonusbar:1] 7; [form:3] 8;",

Quick question, since i change pcs alot so i cant use Bartender due it using a different keybind system, does this use the standard blizzard system?

I would have liked to use it but it doesn't work as a subtlety rogue, every time I press shadowdance I get the stealth bar as main bar and not the Shadowdance bar

1. never had this one before, and I do respec allot, so unfortunately I have no idea how to fix something I can not reproduce
2. I'm aware of this, but it seems that it works just fine most of the time and only bugs out under certain circumstances which I was not able to reproduce, I'm looking into this though.

Not really the case, you see, it's very easy to 'skin' something, but it's much harder to interfere into secure functions' behavior. And by changing spawning method you'd do exactly that.

Yeah it's one of the features I would like to implement myself, but there's a problem... each and every time you try to interfere with MultiActionBar (totembar) you get overwhelmed with damn taints. The solution is probably there somewhere, but I have yet to figure it out.

i think tului atleast skins the flyout buttons, so maybe thats a starting point.

Great update, though some things keep happening to me.
- Changing spec as priest often stops the keybinding from working (a reloadui fixes it)
- Using the raid world markers results in a blocked event because of a tainted execution path,etc.

setting this option to false will unhide LeftBar and RightBar action bars, so unless you have

--[[disable bar:]] true
option set like this you should be able see the desired action bar all the time.

Yeah it's one of the features I would like to implement myself, but there's a problem... each and every time you try to interfere with MultiActionBar (totembar) you get overwhelmed with damn taints. The solution is probably there somewhere, but I have yet to figure it out.

Not so hard to implement, but I don't think this kind of feature belongs to the actionbar add-on as I personally would hate it
