oUF_mono

About:
oUF_mono is a layout for oUF 1.5.* by haste.
It was designed for my personal needs as hybrid class, so it should be comfy for either damage dealers, healers or even tanks.

This layout was made using zork's structure template from oUF_Simple and the raid module was inspired by Freebaser's oUF_Freebgrid.

This layout contains some basic configuration options via editing cfg.lua. However if you want to modify this layout beyond those settings you're going to need some lua knowledge and you got to read through oUF documentation. You may also find some answers and help in the oUF sub-forum on this website. Keep in mind that I will not modify this layout for you.

Supported Unit Frames:

Frequently Asked Questions:
  • Q: Is it a bad thing to shoot pedestrians with your bow through the back window of your car?
  • A: Yes it is, because you can't see the road then.
  • Q: How do I get rid of the raid frames?
  • A: Either turn it off in cfg.lua or just remove "oUF_mono\raid" folder.
  • Q: RAID PETS??????
  • A: DIAF.
  • Q: How do I remove duplicate timers on my buffs and debuffs?
  • A: You're running some sort of cooldown timer add-on, therefore you have to disable layout's custom timers by setting "cfg.auratimers" to "false".

Thanks for your time.
In cfg.lua you can modify placement and quite a few other things, have a look, it's all commented out.

Obviously its very possible to implement and in fact this feature is coming in the next update, you might give it a shot yourself, it's not that hard after all:

* modify the createDebuffs function in lib.lua (need to add another elseif f.mystyle=="boss" structure) describing how debuffs should look like and where you them placed.
* add to the CreateBossStyle function in core.lua lib.createDebuffs(self) call.

thats it.

One quick question:

On the player frame ONLY, I would like to only see the remaining HP. I checked out the tags.lua file, but it seems... complicated. I'd like to not see the deficit, percent or anything else concerning HP, just the amount I have left.

Thanks in advance! I love love love this layout. Just this one minor tweak.

It sounds like you may be talking about the AltPowerBar but it should not stay on unless you are in an encounter that uses it like Atramedes or Cho'Gall. You may want to try updating this mod as well as the main oUF mod. If you want, you can disable it by commenting out the two lines in the core.lua which contain "lib.gen_alt_powerbar(self)".

Those add up intellect therefore add up mana pool value, however they don't increase your actual current mana and you get those situations when your bar is like half-full, especially if your overall gear level is pretty low (means lower intelect base, i.e. procs, adding static value, contribute more to your mana pool).
The value text for that matter displays the ACTUAL MANA that you have, but the bar reflects relative amount to your current mana pool.

So there's nothing broken in power display just watch your procs and learn how they work.
The most recent time I've noticed this happen was on my paladin tank, sitting in org for a good half an hour, not using any abilities or anything. No procs. I was at maximum mana.

I glanced at my mana bar, and it showed me down to about 1/3 according to the bar. The number located inside the bar on the right had the correct amount of full mana listed. When I targeted myself, the mana bar in the target window was correct as well. It was only the bar in my player frame that was incorrect.

The other times I've seen it happen have been on my shadow priest however, so it could be a proc in those cases, though he is not in low level gear (mix of 359s and 372s currently).

I certainly do not need to "learn how my procs work". I have been raiding since early vanilla, thanks.

this is probably the only way to do this, so yeah, anyway, it should be fixed.

Again, probably not the best way to do this, but to fix the arrows for the Eclipse Bar, this is what I did.

Open lib.lua:

Replace
Code:
	if(element.directionIsLunar) then
		ebInd:SetText("|cff4478BC>>>|r")
	else
		ebInd:SetText("|cffE5994C<<<|r")
	end
With
Code:
    local direction = GetEclipseDirection()
    if(direction=="sun")then
        ebInd:SetText("|cff4478BC>>>|r")
    else
        if(direction=="moon")then
            ebInd:SetText("|cffE5994C<<<|r")
        end
    end

It's not pretty but you can go to line 619 in lib.lua and change "DRUID" to anything but a wow class like:

if class ~= "DRUID2" then return end

I have not yet found out why the arrow isn't changing direction though.
