Ingame Slash Commands to:

  • Change the Shape to Square or Round
  • Change the Scale

All without going to the Lua to change it.

Know Bugs

Shows a Yellow Circle border sometimes, drives me crazy. If you know how to remove it please let me know. I have no idea what it is, slips my mind looking. Also, sometimes the Heroic Flag shows somewhere else, I haven't really looked to see what that was, I'll try to see if that is still an issue.

Issues

MAYBE I will add backdrop. I did before, but I always use kgPanels or the like to add to it myself anyhow. I may add an option to hide or show backdrop if I do add.

Updated for Cataclysm 4.0.1. Sorry for the wait. Got a hint to show the LFD tooltip no matter where you put the minimap from BgMinimap. Thanks! Added Time.

Issues - Shows round yellow border sometimes, drives me crazy. I don't know why it does that. *hint hint* if you can give me some :P

Made it to where the watch frame saves position now upon logging in and out per char, adding it to saved variables. Also added ingame slash
commands to change the strata. Will save upon logging in and out per char, adding it to saved variables as well. I'm getting better at this!

Got rid of the xml error, or so I think I did.... If I didn't please report! I also got rid of the other error with the minimapcluster. Also, your character pane or other panes like spellbook should not be overlapping now! YAY!

Made a few changes in code. Got rid of background, use litepanels or kgpanels for background :P I made it to where you can change minimap to round or square with ingame slash commands. /shape round or /shape square.

Also changed the mail icon, and changed some of the icons set points.

jump on the version! I've been working on it without release.I cleaned more code up, got rid of more than onevent handlers. removed the menu button, because it was being stupid. Scale saves now! This is now moved out of beta and into release. Please posts bugs if you find them. Thanks!

Cleaned the code a bit more, made a menu button on hover only below the minimap for ingame menu for your character pane, lfd, lfr, pvp, gm help, etc. THIS TIME FOR SURE I fixed the instance difficulty. IT WILL SHOW NOW! Sorry

Known issues fixed - Heroic Flag not showing. Is now showing. Ping while right clicking minimap now not doing that because I added the hover game menu button.

Cleaned up the code a bit. Made all ingame text green. Added slash command /midgethelp to display all slash commands for the minimap. Added right click function to show drop down menu for ingame menu i.e. Character, LFD, LFR, PvP, GM Help, etc. Thanks to Alza! Fixed the Heroic Flag Instance Difficulty, it should show now.

Tiny change in code thanks to Seerah! Made a paragraph of code down to a sentence basically. Now able to type ingame /scale or /mmscale to any scale to your liking.

Yeah this happens to me as well :O I never rooted it to be midgetmap though lol. I'll see what i can do about that.

Also, use |r to close out color tags (if needed). The |cff00ff00 at the ends of many lines is unnecessary.

Your addon does MinimapCluster:ClearAllPoints() on load
But blizzard has a function GetMaxUIPanelsWidth():

so you shall make sure MinimapCluster:IsUserPlaced() returns true before hiding blizzard frame - probably MinimapCluster:SetUserPlaced(true);
However in general is should be a good idea to reuse MinimapCluster as it would play nicely with the rest of UI relying on it then.

Okay thanks i'll probably be able to fix that. As for the XML error, I have no idea what is causing that, I'll get back to that one.

i got this error when i loaded in a few times

I did slowly disable all addons to pinpoint it to finally MM. I get it when I try to open my professions window alongside AH window.

I got rid of /gp and all the other slash commands except calendar and reloading of UI :P

I think I found a typo in the lua code. In the info it says that the commands for the calendar are /cal and /calendar, but in the lua, you have it set to /cl and /calendar. The command /cl conflicts with critline.

EDIT: Just found that /gp also conflicts with guppet.

Yeah, I think I'm going to just do that for now and make the scaling LUa only but movable ingame with the game menu dealy :P

Until I can figure out filly how to get the scaling to save. I figured out how to get the scaling to save, but the codes all messed up now, and I was just so tired of staring at my mistakes that I took a bit of a break from trying to fix it. It's something that will be on the list though for sure, first priority to fix it.
