TinyDPS  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.1.5.1
by: Talyrius, Sideshow

TinyDPS is a lightweight damage and healing meter.

Looking for an addon to measure damage and healing without adversely affecting your gameplay experience? TinyDPS should suit your needs. By excluding unnecessary features (graphs, pie charts, extensive data collection, etc.) and offering a minimalistic interface, TinyDPS attempts to maintain a balance between information and performance.

Usage

  • Options are available by right-clicking on the frame or minimap button.
  • To move the frame or button, while holding the Shift key, click and drag to the desired location.
  • For resizing of the frame, click and drag the bottom-right corner.
  • Toggling frame visibility can be accomplished by clicking on the minimap button or typing /tdps.
  • In addition to the option in the right-click menu (under Fight), all data can be reset by middle-clicking the frame or minimap button. Similarly, the back and forward mouse buttons will allow for quickly switching between displaying overall or just the current fight's damage/healing.
  • Available slash commands (/tdps <command>):
help or ?, reset or r, damage or d, healing or h, visiblebars <number>, whisper <name>, reportlength <number>
Known Issues and Limitations
Intended Behavior
  • Pet data is attributed to the owner.
  • Vehicle/mounted combat data is ignored.
  • Overhealing is ignored.
  • Absorbs are added to healing.
  • Unlike damage, healing won't start a new fight.

Thank you! I wish everyone understood that... I get tired of pointing that out to the almighty XP’s crew.😁

Help on the figures?

LOVE this addon! It gives me what I need without all the bloat I don't need. I do have a question, and I'm probably just either not understanding, or I've got something set wrong.

When I look at the DPS meter, it will show me as number one with the most overall damage (the first number that's usually long), but the second figure I'm reading (that I assume is my DPS, its short, shows what I would consider low for dps. I have it set to reset data with a new fight, and on the short format. I have reset the data numerous times, still the same thing. Am I reading the figures right? Or are they the opposite of what I think they are? I don't know why it would list me number one if my dps is much lower, but don't understand how I could do that much damage on a bossfight and be last in dps? Or why, as a DPS meter, it would list me first if my dps is lower than others. And yes, I'm not always first on it, so I know its working correctly, I'm just not sure if I'm reading it right.

Obviously, I am confused. Any help is appreciated.

@X33STORM
An issue has already been opened for this. In the meantime, you can quickly resolve the situation where you're unable to interact with other game elements by typing /reload. There is no need to close the game.

Thanks for the update!

--

Has anyone else had the rare issue where some of the settings would zero themselves? Rarely, I will have my number of fights saved go to 0. I'll keep an eye on this for this most recent release.

Tracking Discipline Priest smite damage removal

When a Discipline Priest applies Smite to a target, that target deals reduced damage. This acts something like an absorb mechanic.

Is this taken into account by TinyDPS?

I'm a long-time user, and just took another look at Recount, Skada and Details! and boy is this one way better.

For the past several months, I've let my subscription to the game lapse. I'll inevitably return at some point and yes, there will be more updates.

change -1 to -5 for example

and also dummybar.fontStringLeft:SetPoint("LEFT", 1, tdpsTextOffset)
change 1 to 5

Okay, I feel sorta stupid because that solution was very simple! Thank you!

This question may be a bit more complicated and it's possible you have no interest in humoring an answer but I'll give it a shot.

I would like to change the "text inset" slightly. Basically I'd like the left text (rank #, name, etc) to be a bit further from the left side of the bar, and the right text (damage values, DPS) to be a bit further inward to the left from the right side of the bar. The meter sits in line with my player frame and it would be visually impactful if I could allow the TinyDPS text to align with the name/hp value text in my player frame. Basically I'd like to squish the text inward from the sides a bit more, just an OCD thing.

Is this something that is easy to explain how to do?
