INTRODUCTION

Due to the overwhelming amount of people asking for it i decided to finally release caelUI to the public.

caelUI is a very light, all-inclusive UI at least for dps and tank classes.

It doesn't include addons like decursive and such but feel free to add them.

caelUI has absolutely no in game configuration, meaning that if you don't have a minimum of knowledge of Lua, this is not the UI you're looking for.

CaelUI has been written to work with the enGB/US locale, OTHER LOCALES AREN'T SUPPORTED.

I'm open to any suggestion that might improve it but i give no guarantee that anything you request will ever be included.


INSTALLATION

Delete your WTF folder. (make a backup of yours before deleting)
Remove any addons that might interfere with this UI. (examples: other actionbar addons, unitframes etc...)
Copy the content of this package to your AddOns folder.
Start the game, define your screen resolution, reloadui.

KNOWN BUGS
  • caelCooldown pulse does not filter unneeded cooldowns or show the right cooldowns when skills with shared cooldown are used (heroic strike/cleave for example).

Hmmm I have installed Bartender in the hope of getting the GCD animation on Action Buttons back but that did not get it back either. It must be somewhere disabled and I cannot find it. Anyone knows where ?

I have "fixed" the stancebar problem by forcing it to be hidden when I'm in a vehicle and showing it when I'm out. Doubt I's ever need to see the stance bar when in a vehicle anyway.

Is it somehow possible to "show" the GCD with your ActionBars ? The Buttons are always ready so you cannot see when the GCD is off.

having an issue I don't see mentioned is it just me or is the tracking of FM Repair Reagents Mailbox etc... missing or is it intended and I have checked the Tracking modules and can't seem to find a reference to its removal. The only thing I am able to track are specific abilities and low level quests all other things that should be trackable by all seem to be missing. If I disable minimap add it still does not change the tracking ability. I think I ,ust be looking in the wrong lua for the fix.

EDIT**** I found the lua for anyone else looking it is in caelCore\modules\trackingMenu.lua
My solution was to rename that file to trackingMenu.bak so far it has worked ok.****EDIT

Good UI one of my favorites.

About ActionBar errors... After updating code error stil popup, but bars changing and working correctly ))

And also about chat&SearchLFG errors:
Today I open LFR frame, queued weeklly and error popup 10-15 seconds later

No, I never made any changes to the fonts or any code in the nameplates. I deleted the file and reinstalled if from the ui beta again and still got the issue, I downloaded the stand alone version of caelnameplates and it works fine. What's weird is I'm almost positive that it was working fine for me when I first installed the beta. But I just noticed this yesterday nonetheless, and /rl doesn't remedy it.

Edit: It looks like the fontOutline is missing in the caelNamePlates that comes with the beta.

Re: Font not set error.

Is that font error a one time thing, or does it happen consistently? If the former you can probably ignore it. If not, have you changed the font yourself? Can you open up caelNamePlates.lua and check the value of the font variable on line 11? Does the specified font file exist?

There also still seems to be some sort of bug regarding seige vehicles and the player unit frame. There is no LUA error, but the power number won't update, just the bar itself.

Also, my stancebar fix doesn't work in combat apparently, might just have to create a new bar frame, probably be easiest.

@Cryblade: Thank you for the report. This seems to be the default UI trying to resize the bags when space becomes limited. I'll tell it not to do that.

Edit: I gotta run in a few mins so I can't test at the moment, but I think setting CONTAINER_SCALE to 1 will fix it. Can you try running this and see if it works and does not cause taint?

/run CONTAINER_SCALE = 1

Will have to look at the default container frame functions some more when I have a moment, I think the entire function doing this is not even necessary.
