INTRODUCTION

Due to the overwhelming amount of people asking for it i decided to finally release caelUI to the public.

caelUI is a very light, all-inclusive UI at least for dps and tank classes.

It doesn't include addons like decursive and such but feel free to add them.

caelUI has absolutely no in game configuration, meaning that if you don't have a minimum of knowledge of Lua, this is not the UI you're looking for.

CaelUI has been written to work with the enGB/US locale, OTHER LOCALES AREN'T SUPPORTED.

I'm open to any suggestion that might improve it but i give no guarantee that anything you request will ever be included.


INSTALLATION

Delete your WTF folder. (make a backup of yours before deleting)
Remove any addons that might interfere with this UI. (examples: other actionbar addons, unitframes etc...)
Copy the content of this package to your AddOns folder.
Start the game, define your screen resolution, reloadui.

KNOWN BUGS
  • caelCooldown pulse does not filter unneeded cooldowns or show the right cooldowns when skills with shared cooldown are used (heroic strike/cleave for example).

hi Caellian and all others,

1st, thanks a lot for your great work. i've tested your UI now for several days. Mostly im very, very happy with it =)
2nd, I realized some strange behavior with the video options. I can't set the "Ultra" settings at all. I don't know if this was planned to do so or if it is a bug.
When it was planned, how can i disable this behavior? Belive me, my machine is strong enough for Ultra setting.

As a Moonkin, im missing some bars:
1.) where is the stancebar? well, as a workaround i just putted the shapeshift casts in a normal actionbar.
2.) where can I find the pet bar for the treants? Actually it is impossible to see if the treants are defensiv, agressiv or passiv.

During the normal play I'm missing the game menu bar (you know it, this little bar with the buttons for the Achivement Windows, Ask a GM Questionmark etc.). Is it possible to bring the Game menu bar back without an other addon?
Also nice would be a sorting feature for your Bagaddon, something like ArkInventory with categories and a restack feature =)

Well, i hope you will continue your great work. As I said in the topic: it's a feedback. Of course, your UI is still under developement .

Still finding my way around the UI. Had to change the fonts because I couldn't get used to default ones. Plus, I'm on 1680 x 1050 and a Mac does not exactly render things (including fonts) perfectly.

Thanks Caellian, used the UI for Razorscale must Die and several 5mans... worked great!

Does anyone else have an issue with the abandon and share quest buttons in the quest frame not working? I just noticed it today.

Still digging looking for a fix to the siege vehicle energy value not updating correctly, going to try a few things, I'll of course post what I find.

@zeetrix the fonts are in caelMedia/fonts. I don't know which font(s) you do not like but that's where they are stored, you will still need to find where the fonts are chosen in each addon to change it there. Alternatively, you can pick a font you like and rename it to the file of the font you do not like.
EDIT: I just noticed Gotai already responded with similar information so I'm not sure what you are looking for.

@lorientalas I don't seem to have that datafeeds issue, unless it is from r01 or r02. I show 100% correctly with no lua changes.

THANK YOU. This solves my problem. I didn't realize my eyes and fingers were so dependent on the GCD.

@jgw409, this solution was what I was looking for.

I've abandoned this UI (yeah, I know sacrilege) just because of that little problem... now to play around and experience what I've been missing.

Anyone know if there is a way to move the quest objectives frame? I moved the minimap up to the top corner while playing around and now the objectives are stuck under it for some reason. just wondering if there is a spot that i can set to move them down a little.

NVM I found the spot.

I found mistake in durability datafeed:

Edit: I was wrong the code should be

If you mean the issue where opening the bank disables the escape key, see my reply a few posts back:

Edit: Fix: Open up caelBags.lua, remove BankFrame:Hide() from line 345.
Feel free to point out bugs, but as is stated on the description page, this is a personal UI made to fit Caellian's demands, with (nigh) zero configuration. Don't expect things to be easy to adjust to your liking.

Edit: Either replace the existing font files with your own (but keep the name as is), or edit it into each addon. A bunch of them can also be changed in caelMedia\caelFonts.lua.

Previously, I tried fooling round with the x,y offsets and I did in-fact change the frameholder as well - but alas nothing moved. I attempted to replace the values you said, but, nothing happened again.

Finally, I downloaded MoveAnything and moved the bar itself - which worked!

Now to deal with the 'bank-removing-esc-menubar-problem'. Just a few bugs with this UI, unfortunately with the custom user interface and the need to know LUA makes this interface somewhat hard to use.

Again, you can skip all but the first step and just modify the SetPoint line, but imo, it makes things easier in the future if it's anchored to something relevant to it anyway (ie, the main actionbar). I hope I made sense, If not I'll try again lol.

Also, I don't know what to tell you on the keypress thing then. My only issue was the GCD and removing the lines I mentioned solved it. Hopefully someone else with far more knowledge than I will be able to help you
