Errors in v0.60 [2010.09.04]
Hi, Ketho, and thanks for this wonderful addon.
The US realms are finally online, and there are a number of issues with the latest version I can report. RSD is the only addon loaded while taking these error reports. Upon log-in, there are immediately these two errors: Code:
Message: Interface\AddOns\ReadySetDing\Core.lua:590: attempt to get length of field 'levelTimeList' (a nil value) Time: 10/12/10 23:22:52 Count: 1 Stack: Interface\AddOns\ReadySetDing\Core.lua:590: in function <Interface\AddOns\ReadySetDing\Core.lua:567> (tail call): ? The title menu, where it allows selection of where to post level up messages and what those messages will say, does not show anything except the RSD version number and date. Re: Errors in v0.60 [2010.09.04]
I should've deleted my .WTF folder too... If you mean your Player name with the "character name" I didnt add that yet as a variable... then I will add it too in v0.61 Thank you for giving me the (only yet) feedback for v0.60! Without it I wouldn't even know it was bugged since it was actually working with my .WTF savedvariables folder Edit 2010.10.13 11:42: Progress for the v0.61 (bugfix) is slow. When I added the new Ding Message Variables, I didn't take into account that ppl can start using it at any level or have missing Levels in between the Level Times. I also will have to playtest it thoroughly ... dont expect v0.61 anytime soon™ Edit 2010.10.14 02:35 Released v0.61

Hi, Ketho.
I used v0.61 today before updating to v0.62 tonight, and v0.61 was in good condition. You added a huge number of variables that are cool to have available. The only new one I tested was [DEATHS], but it didn't seem to work. I died three times during level 47-48 trying to get through the Timbermaw Hold up to Moonglade, but when I dinged 48 a few minutes later, RSD reported 0 deaths for the level. I just manually updated to v0.63 (the Curse client gave me the broken v0.62), and will try again. The preview for the message string shows 1 death. I'll die again and make sure it reports 2 deaths. The only other issue I was having was the main RSD config page was not properly listing my level/total times. v0.61 fixed this and I thank you for that. The new Instance Timer feature is great and I love how it reports completion time in chat for the group to see. From what I can tell, your addon is working well now and I'm excited to see you take it even further. And thanks for the mention in the v0.61 changelog. |

[DEATHS] still reports 0 deaths for the level, and [DEATHS+] reported 4 deaths while my Achievements statistics page shows 10 deaths.
Also, I made my message template too long and got this error when it tried to broadcast to B.net. It output to chat fine, but maybe you'll want to warn broadcast users about this limit. Code:
Date: 2010-10-15 01:53:18 ID: 4 Error occured in: Global Count: 1 Message: ..\AddOns\ReadySetDing\Core.lua line 914: Message text too long, maximum length 127 chars Debug: (tail call): ? Today I noticed that with v0.63 the chat ding message is output to Say when I'm in the world in a 2-man party questing with my friend. When I have leveled up in a random dungeon group, it does output to Party.

This probably sounds really stupid, yet I have to ask.
What is the command to get into the options? I did not see a minimap or Data Broker style options button when I installed this. The addon did not enable automaticly when I installed it and made sure it was turned on in the addon list. |

I know nothing about minimap/Data Broker style options button however --[2010.10.28] Progress will now be updated in the ReadySetDing thread: http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=36333

Missing localization is causing an error when accessing ReadySetDing's options. USEnglish client/server, ReadySetDing 0.74, WoW 4.0.1 live. Open its options and:
Code:

Never got an error myself since I already had "Level Data" savedvariables (it gets called when there is no Level Data) Didn't test it on a new character because I made only minor/localization changes. doh |

Is there any way to disable the UI when the screenshot is taken for leveling? if not, there have been addons (now broken) in the past that did that. Is there any way to implement that option?

Basically /run UIParent:Hide() hides and /run UIParent:Show() shows the UI. It however doesn't work in combat, so I'm thinking of using /run UIParent:SetAlpha(0) and /run UIParent:SetAlpha(1) as a plan B when in combat. I will try to add this in v0.76 .. |
