xanDebuffTimers  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v6.6, Classic: v6.6
by: Xruptor [More]

This is my version of text based timers for debuffs. This mod is extremely lightweight and small. The window can be dragged around and it will remember the position.

If you want just a BUFF version of this mod checkout: xanBuffTimers

This addon gives you TWO sets of bars, one for Target and one for Focus.

What this mod does:

  • Displays the debuffs you've casted on the CURRENT TARGET and FOCUS as individual timers.
  • The bars will be arranged from largest to smallest amount of time remaining on the debuff.
(use /xdt sort to change sorting)
  • The actual time left will be displayed to the left of the bar's spell icon.
  • The bar will change colors according to the time left for the debuff.
  • Debuff Stack count will be displayed on the bottom right of the spell icon.

Supported Units:
  • Target
  • Focus

Slash Commands:
  • /xdt grow --toggles if the bars should grow (UP/DOWN)
  • /xdt sort --toggles the sorting of the bars (ASCENDING/DESCENDING)
  • /xdt anchor --toggles a movable anchor frame
  • /xdt scale # --changes the scale of the timer bars
  • /xdt reload --reloads and refreshes the bars on your screen.

Been working on other projects but I have some updates already done for this mod. I've gone ahead and improved the sorting of the debuffs. It should be more accurate then before. I've also added support for Focus frames. So keep watching for an update.

Right now there isn't an option for it. However, I'm working on a few updates for this mod. Which include debuff tracking for a focus target and a few configuration option. I will see if I can add the expanding upwards feature you want.

Its my own coded version of Text based timers. It was inspired by Text Timers yes. However it's coded completely different then Text Times.

Come to think of it..... showing the debuffs of your Focus Target IS a nice idea. Hmmm... I may actually code that in the next version.
I've started to edit the code and I made the necessary switches to only calculate debuffs if the target's classification is “boss”, and to keep the running debuffs if not. I'll try tonight at ICC and see if it works as intended.

Nicely coded by the way

I presently use EventHorizon to ease the cycle, but when I switch targets I usually loose track of the time left of DP on the boss (, though it's mandatory to keep the 5 stacks refreshed as often as possible).

Would it then be possible to add an option/a switch to track bosses's debuffs? I'll dive into your code to see if I may be able to do what I want. Will share changes of course.

And a longshot request, any possible way to track ticks from channeled spells?
Well the bars are just there to be a visual representation of a progress bar. You can generalize the amount of time left by looking at it. The colors help as well in determining how much time is left.

I don't have any plans at the moment to add a configuration window but it has been on my mind. If I see that more people ask for it I may consider it. The mod was made to be as small and as simplistic as possible. I really don't want to complicate things by additional several new features to it. Though I don't see any harm in a configuration window.

In order to add channeled ticks; I would have to record every spell into a data file that is channeled. Then calculate the haste+tick ratio for that individual spell. I don't really want to that route as several debuff mods out there have a huge database of spells that are loaded into memory. I would like this mod to be as simplistic as possible. If there was some API that would allow me to do this for you I would. However, Blizzard at the current moment does not have an API call for tick returns; only if the spell is channeled or not.
